Equestrian statue of Gattamelata

The monument is under renovation and completely covered. There is no date posted when the renovation will be completed. It is very annoying, as the phone is to posted on Google Maps is not up to date, and makes one believe that the statue is uncovered. If Gmaps can show which restaurant is closed and which is closed and at what time, and not be able to update the photo of a statue which renovation has been apparently ongoing for years. Don't waste your time walking in the sun for kilometers for this. Wait until it is posted somewhere that the restauration is finished. Do your research.

An important Christian sight, a beautiful cathedral that dates back to the 13th century. A must see here in Padova. I loved the fact that they have a pious policy about clothes.

The statue is being maintained, the first time in more than 500 years. With the ticket available at Oratory of Saint Giorgio, you could join guided tour to the top of the rack surround the statue, to see all details of the statue which is impossible in other time.

Isn't it any other way to secure construction zone, leaving parts of the statue visible? Especially when NO actual works conducting just stydying and planning? And the answer is YES its easy but you need to have respect for travellers. Shame on you Padua. I had cancelled next trip to Padua already (and that is not a joke)

Its importance, art historically, is indisputable. An elegant an impressive monument that captures the political and social power structures of its day.
