The best part of this resort was leaving there at the end of the 5 days. It was absolute hell there.
While the pictures make it look like paradise it is far from it. When you get there in person it is clear that the facilities are run down so basic safety standards haven't been met which are hidden from the photos.
We arrived during the middle of the day and we greeted with a welcome cocktail but it went downhill from there... The restaurant at the resort was sub standard.
I have a strong stomach, having eaten lots of street food throughout asia and india, but contracted some kind of virus from the food at the resort. Both my partner and I had stomach aches and diarrhea.
The room is certainly not what you expect for the nightly rate. Air conditioning was loud and the WiFi was not adequate for two people to simply browse the internet.
The next day my partner and I were relaxing on the hammock where it suddenly collapsed on top of us because the tree was rotten at the base. It was basically a broken stump... The metal bracket holding the hammock onto the tree sliced her knee open which it required 12 stitches. There were no staff who knew first aid or even had a medical kit to assist with the wound my partner received.
This was on day 1 of our holiday, which meant my partner was bruised and restricted to bed activities for the rest of our month long the holiday.
We received no compensation and the staff did not go out of their way to accommodate us for the injury that my partner received because of the lack of maintenance at the resort.
Arriving home at the end of the holiday, we contacted the owner of the resort but Cris did not reply after our second email. This is not how you run a business especially when you are responsible for causing injury.
