My husband and I recently visited Erawan for our anniversary dinner, and we were thoroughly impressed. Thai cuisine is our favorite, and we’ve dined at many Thai restaurants over the years, Erawan came very close to being our absolute favorite! The food was absolutely incredible, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel welcome. The only downside is that the restaurant is quite small and gets very busy, so it was quite loud, making it hard to have a proper conversation. Despite that, we would definitely go back because the food alone is worth it! Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Thai cuisine.

This is by far the best and most authentic Thai food I have experienced in the UK! My wife is half Thai and has lived there and even she was amazed at some of the dishes available here that we haven't found anywhere else except Thailand itself. Its a BYOB, which we didn't mind at all. There is a corkage fee but it wasn't over the top by any means. The staff were lovely and were very quick to accommodate anything we asked for, including things like providing small bowls so we could share a larger soup like a starter and other random requests. If you are a fan of Asian food or especially Thai food and can get over to this restaurant I cannot recommend it enough! The venue is small, however, so it's best to book in advance as there's no guarantee you could get a table otherwise.

Order a two courses lunch (number 1 and 27) (my friend17 and 29). Amazing food, top serving time and heart-warming service. If you are at Lewes, please give this a try!!

We ordered a takeaway whilst camping at Blackberry Wood in Hassocks, and were not disappointed. Really tasty and authentic flavour, just the right amount of heat. Quite pricey compared to other venues but lovely as a treat. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Absolutely incredible food! By far the best Thai food we have ever had. I had the duck in tamarind sauce and it was flawless.

Erawan is my favourite food spot in lewes, I have a nostalgia love with it as me and my boyfriend would eat there all the time when we first started dating when we were 16. We went back Saturday and it is still so delicious and run by such kind people. They will always make a space for you if they can, however, I would recommend booking as they’re nearly always fully booked!

Yelp
This is a small, inevitably crowded restaurant so have patience and get there early if you can. That said, the food could hardly be faulted - it's better than many a so-called Thai restaurant in East Sussex. There are photos to show their style. We enjoyed the food, and the wine from next door (Erawan is a BYO restaurant), not to mention its proximity to Lewes railway station. Two of us ate Thai duck, Vegetable Tempura, Red Thai Curry and Pad Thai, in no particular order (see the photos). The main downside was two 'jack-in-a-box' women crowding us by non-step texting, even whilst eating, and leaping up every few minutes for a confab in the corridor, plus a slightly disruptive but pleasant party on our other side moving between two tables. We'll be back soon.
