Google
Broad selection of genres at extremely reasonable prices. Got a right few bargains in the bins outside. Turntable available so you can give them a spin before you purchase. Adrian seems a sound fella as well. Recommended👍👍

Google
Brilliant concentration of records. Nicely organized. Cool $1 bins outside. Found a clean Muddy Waters. Packed with browsers. Fun stop.

Google
Small hole in the wall that diggers will love. Jazz and Rock really good and great prices. Really worth a stop. They had stickers for their store, which is always a bonus for me!

Google
Lovely record store with great selection of second-hand electronic and disco records for just $1 if you have the time to dig in! Recommended!

Google
Nice little shop with a solid selection of mostly fairly priced used records and a larger and well curated and organized selection of new records. They have a bit of everything (jazz, experimental, ambient, rock, indie, punk/new wave). Bought a few with cash and got a 3.5% discount. Will be back next time in NYC.

Google
What a fun new find! I hadn’t ever been here before and I’m delighted I stopped in. The bargain items outside the store caught my eye (I found two great classical records for a buck each) and then spent nearly two hours browsing and listening to their great selection of LPs. I found several really great albums including a mint box set of tangos from the 1920s, some excellent vintage blues records, and a jazz LP I’d been searching for years! Friendly staff and chill vibe. Check it out!

Google
Very well curated. Staff are friendly, willing to help. Not just electronic but all kinds of music. Owner is very knowledgeable and pretty chill. Great spot!

Google
Arrogant store clerk who practices the misguided art of “Speed Trials” (in the word of the great and late Elliott Smith) when judging a “white”psychedelic music played by a non-white individual. Based on my own personal experience. A prisoner in his own world. Bad vibration.

Yelp
Great and helpful service. Ergot has a perfect balance of genres, I loved their hip-hop selection. I was interested in the disco juice it was to "clean vinyl records" I wonder what's it in it? Great branding. Copped an Isaac Hayes joint for $30, it was a good value. Would highly recommend this spot. The music is poppin too, there's always a gem to discover here.

Yelp
Effete, elitist, underhanded. That's my family's experience with Ergot. One might remember that Ergot is a fungus that infects cereal grains and grasses, producing a hard, dark-colored structure that can be toxic to humans and other mammals.

Yelp
Ohh man cooool shop. I found an old Don Ho record I have been looking for since I left my copy at my aunts place on the main island. Also found a bunch of cool new bands that I did not know of. The staff was super KIND. Mahalo friends! I didn't see a bathroom when I was there so I think that other person needs to chill out bro. You are totally hewa! Wish we had more stores like this in Hawaii. A Hui Hou! Ergot!

Yelp
This is an ok store, fairly neat, interesting selection with good prices, and the selection always changes. Worth a look!

Yelp
I stumbled into this store while looking for records in the East Village and I'm SO GLAD I did! The selection is small but WONDERFULLY curated, I swear every single record was weird and unexpected and covetable. Plus the prices were ON POINT. I picked up some really excellent scores - a Don Cherry double LP, a rare Art Blakely record, a Karen Dalton reissue and a very suprising Alvin Lucier find - and somehow dropped less than $100. All the staff were kind, or high, or both, which made things even better and more magical. On my short list to visit again this place again when I'm back in NYC.

Yelp
Not sure what one of the delusional reviewers are saying here, because this store doesn't even have a bathroom lol, but all I know is that the workers here are all mad cool and very knowledgeable about music, and the prices are very fair for a lot of rarer music that other shops in the neighborhood usually don't carry.

Yelp
The East Village has a bunch of record shops but Ergot is a hidden gem. Snagged Powell's "Sport" for only $5 (Powell is a British producer and DJ who spins Suicide during sets at Berghain and somehow manages to sample Big Black for a banging techno track). It is also at Ergot that I had one of the greatest scores in my years of digging. I found an excellent copy of Moodymann's "Sinner" for $30 (it goes for up to $300 on Discogs). It was in a white generic sleeve and somebody scrawled "MOODYMANN SINNER" in black permanent marker. When I saw it, my jaw dropped. For all I know, maybe Moodymann himself wrote those words. (Moodymann is an elusive house legend from Detroit who releases his highly coveted records in small quantities. Google "GQ and Moodymann" to get a sense of the man's reputation. I met my boyfriend during a Moodymann set in Detroit. Sort of. During the time spent waiting for Moodymann to arrive, my dude and I talked and fell in love. Sadly, Moodymann never showed because he got into a car accident, but I credit him for bringing my dude and me together. Thank goodness, he's now recovered!) Ergot carries cool finds across rock, jazz, soul, and electronic music. Definitely worth a stop.

Yelp
Such a great shop and friendly staff. Genuinely curious and knowledgeable about many genres of music, and fair prices and offers on when I've sold records in there. The owner Adrian has helped me track down copies of rare small labels' releases that aren't with big distributors and gone out of his way to try and make a space that is welcoming of everybody that comes through the door. I've worked in records stores and come across some insane snobs, and Adrian is not one of them. Awesome shop.

Yelp
owner was extremely rude when i asked genuine curious questions to get to know him and the store better and learn more about music. didnt do anything disrespectful or aggressive, genuinely just asked "what does the cool logo mean" & "what are your favorite covers". he seemed offended/annoyed i would waste his time with those questions so i said it was for a website (it wasn't, i was just saving face because i thought i said something wrong) and essentially gave me a death glare telling me to leave even *after* i purchased a cassette tape. there were no other customers except 2 who were busy browsing, he was not packaging anything or busy. if i had a body cam on me any poc could tell what he did was not okay in the slightest. could've been racially motivated, not sure - but he absolutely was nowhere near as kind or friendly to me as he was with one of the older white customers who came in to purchase a vinyl. there are some nonsense 1 star reviews for this shop on google like the guy complaining about the bathroom. this is not one of those reviews as i rarely ever care enough to do this. the fact that he did this on a religious holiday irks me even more. if you are new to music or poc or both, AVOID this place. i know its difficult to trust 1 star reviews as theyre often posted by entitled customers or unreasonable people, but please trust me when i say this experience was as close to the truth as possible. go to a friendlier, more inclusive place and save yourself the trouble. he reported my google review and it did get removed because i messed up with language, but i will be contacting google to get my review back up on there as well.

Yelp
Awesome selection of classic house/deep house and reasonable prices. Love this place!

Yelp
Super friendly owner with a very quirky yet interesting selection. Highly recommended!
