One of the first true "skyscrapers" in the English-speaking Caribbean, these iconic Port of Spain "Twin Towers" were the most distinctive identification of the capital city's skyline until the series of competing Twin Towers forming the Government Campus and the International Waterfront Complex were built 20 years later. Architecturally impressive, the imposing concrete and glass structures make design mockery of the recent "Miami-styled" aluminium-clad towers that attempted to copy their iconic status.
