"Unique Recycled Leather Handbags in Chinatown Style goddess Erin Templeton’s Storefront/Studio is in Vancouver 's historic Chinatown and a must-visit for lovers of her one of a kind, new and recycled leather bags and accessories. I’ve picked up a few of Erin’s beautiful pieces in the sales before, so it’s worth popping in and seeing whether you can find your new favorite purse at a price that fits your pocket!"

Can't recommend them enough went in to see what dress style I wanted my wedding dress/what size I was and they had the most perfect 1950s wedding dress. I'm so happy. They have the most beautiful curated items.

Terrible customer service. They sold me sunglasses with a crack. I came back in 5 minutes to return it and lady (seems like she is a manager there) was quite rude saying "are you having any problem here?!" while I was talking to the lady that took a payment before. Just don't sell damaged items and if you do at least apologies...

One of the better vintage stores I have found during my stay in Vancouver. The pieces feel mature, timeless and hand picked rather than an assortment of donated clothes someone was desperately trying to rid from their closet. The owner is very personable and down to earth, I felt like I could be her friend. The leather pieces are simple and classy. Will definitely be back!

There are so many amazing vintage finds here as well as lovely leather bags that are made right there in the store! I love that they recycle leather for some of the bags too. The selection of vintage silver jewelry is top notch and I love my bracelet that I bought.

Excellent selection of vintage at the front of the shop. I didn't buy any of Erin's leather goods, but I can tell they are well made and well designed. Both Erin and her sales associate were personable and helpful. I will definitely be back next time I am in the area!

Yelp
When I went to vote in the last federal election, I just happened to pass by the Erin Templeton boutique on Carrall Street and I remember being pleasantly surprised to see a boutique shop right on the corner in Chinatown. This time around, I decided to make a special visit to Erin's store and I found within, gorgeous leather handmade bags and simple, pretty handmade leather sandals, Templeton's signature pieces. Along with her fab designs, she has in her store, a proper selection of vintage shirts, dresses, pants and footwear for men and women at true vintage prices. Templeton's designs are international and she sells her wares from all over Canada (and in various other shops in Vancouver) along with the States and Japan. While I was bowled over by the vintage and leather goods, I struck up a conversation with Templeton about the area which she chose to open up her shop and she quickly launched into a ballad about her love for Chinatown and its inherent quirkiness. She was quick to point out a few of her favourite spots to check out in the area and we talked for nearly half an hour about how Chinatown used to be, what it is now and its future potential (which, by the way, is high and interesting) as well as her want to have a Christmas craft show with a twist: a keg! Count me in Erin!

Yelp
Well-made and timeless, every woman should own an Erin Templeton bag. I certainly plan on owning one of these beauties soon! Erin's designs are classic, without any "trendy" metal hardware or grommets. I love how you can change the length of the straps on the bags simply by repositioning the knots. You can dress these bags up or down. You can buy them in new leather or (even better!) recycled leather. I could go on and on about how these bags are superior to virtually every other bag on the market! The shop itself is a true gem. Located in historic Chinatown, the shop has a down-to-earth vibe and the sales people are wonderful. Wonderful! My friend and I came in the other day, and we ended up chatting and laughing with Erin herself and one of the associates. How cool is it to be able to actually meet the woman who creates your handbag? The bags ain't cheap, but considering how much other well-made handbags go for, it's well worth the price. Besides, with Erin's timeless designs, any gal would be able to carry these bags for years and years to come. The new leather bags come in various neutral shades, black and a beautiful olive green. For those of us who like to make a statement, the recycled leather bags come in a ton of fun colours; plus, the recycled leather is extra supple and drool-worthy. The day I buy my Erin Templeton bag will likely be one of the happiest of my life. I know I'm lame, but at least I can admit it, right?

Yelp
Refused service due to not being able to wear a mask. Not even a medical exemption would do. Now that it's known that symptomless transfer is vanishingly rare and c-19 is not airborne, I suggest staff get over their paranoia and don't drive away customers. In the moment I was actually in the shop, I saw $80 worth of stuff I would have at least considered buying. Another lost sale.

Yelp
Super friendly staff, and adorable locally made goods! Ordered an item online, and came by the shop to pick it up. Really happy with the quality and supporting a local business directly. Having the option to buy an item made of recycled leather is really cool. Saving up for my next purchase with them!

Yelp
Okay fine. Fine, Erin Templeton. You win. I will buy one of your gorgeous handmade leather bags. I mean, how could I not? Everyone loves you. You make shoes, belts, pouches, sandals - and jewelry too. But it's your bags, your beautiful leather bags, that finally won me over. Erin Templeton's shop is one of those enigmatic spaces that is both not hard to miss, and very easy to pass by. It's the kind of place I've seen multiple times, but for some reason never thought to actually, physically go in. That is, until very recently. In the ever-charming old Sam Kee building in Chinatown, her little boutique is one of those special places that once you enter, you immediately want to snoop in every nook and peek in every cranny. Not only does she sell the aforementioned most amazing handmade leather goods, but she also has an unreal selection of vintage finds (at very reasonable prices, I might add). But like I said, it's all in the bag for me. Vintage leather, simple lines, unadorned aesthetic, super-chic, and most of all: affordable. Let's do this, Erin Templeton, you and me. Let's find me the perfect leather bag to add to my collection.

Yelp
Love! Funky vintage threads, shoes, belts, knick knacks and jewelry, with the occasional random antique elegant bit thrown in. Erin's own in-house handmade leather purses (a few belts and sandals too) are amazingly drool worthy. Dress up, down, sideways, you need one of these bags! Keep an eye out for sample sales and the like, to double your score. (I came away from one such sale with some amazing stuff I couldn't have justified buying otherwise). A few other local designers' and consignors' wares can be found there too. Friendly friendly friendly! Go for the conversation and whimsy or to find a new OOAK wardrobe staple. Make sure you wear clean, hole-free underthings though, as the dressing room is communal!

Yelp
Walked by here one sunny day to discover a pretty cool vintage shop in Chinatown. Clothes here are a bit cool, and the sale rack had some purchase worthy items, and with a bit of alteration, they would be lovely pieces. Nice jewelry, and unique shoes, and also spotted some handmade leather bags. I have my eyes on this lovely purple one. So tempting.

Yelp
I live in the condo buildings right behind Erin's shop so I have been in here more than a few times! I have a few of her products and have bought several as gifts, as well. The makeup bags and the wallets are my all time personal favourites and make awesome presents. Erin is super sweet, really talented and creates beautiful, quality products. I have just asked my fiancé for a new wallet from her for my birthday :)

Yelp
I got a mustard yellow, zipped wallet from here because I do not like those traditional wallets. It was made from leather of course. When it wears, it is going to look even more beautiful. I also purchased a scarf! Erin was in when I happened to stop by, and she is quite the knowledgeable one. She explained to me the different styles of bags, and what leathers were used, and where they came from. You can also customize your bag/backpack with different colours of the leather that they have, but it's dependent on certain things...so ask! I will definitely be coming back for the backpack that I saw...designs like that aren't made anywhere except here. It is a great investment, and it will only look better with time. She told me to come back if I want my wallet pouch cleaned as well! Also the store carries vintage pieces of clothing, shoes and more. Another thing I like about the leather pieces sold here...they aren't adorned with unnecessary grommets, buckles or flashy zippers. If you want something outlandish, don't come here. Simplicity and good design are the keys at Erin Templeton, and what makes their bags so timeless. Sorry cows, but you're beautiful and delicious. :D Go buy a bag for yourself, or men, buy one for your girlfriend...she'll give you a kiss!

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place by accident 'cause I missed my bus from China Town coming back from the Blim Market. I was attracted to the Burgundy dress in the window and walked in. It is upcycled and new leather products. There is a shop in the back, therefore, most things are made in shop. The lady whom helped me was super informative, sweet and personable. I appreciated that she took the time to tell me about her company etc. There aren't a lot of stores out there that take this care with customers. I was looking for a friend of mine who is obsessed with leather and was getting information for her when she hit town. I appreciated how even though I wasn't there to buy anything and just browse that she treated me equally with respect and care. Something that most businesses need to learn from.

Yelp
Beautiful hand made leather handbags, some of which are made from recycled leather. Too expensive for my excursion today but worth every penny.
