We recently camped one night at one of their powered sites. The location is beautiful and unique, and it’s also a great gateway to the Uluṟu region and the South Australia border.||The campground itself is unsealed, with a mix of dirt and gravel, but that wasn’t an issue at all. A real highlight was being able to see camels and emus right next to the campground—it’s awesome and adds a bit of fun, especially for travellers with kids. There’s also a sunset viewing platform, which is absolutely magnificent and a must-do.||We ordered pizza from the pub and it was really good. The rest of the food menu also looked appealing and didn’t seem overpriced.||Downsides:| • The campground was full of mozzies (mosquitoes), so be prepared.| • The toilets looked recently renovated but definitely need some TLC.| • The showers, unfortunately, seemed like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages. There were water and soap stains all over the cubicles, and the floors were covered with a thick layer of mould, which made them slippery. I almost slipped and fell, so it’s a safety concern as well as a cleanliness issue.||Overall, the location and facilities like the pub and sunset views make this a memorable stop, but the campground amenities—especially the bathrooms—really need more attention and regular cleaning.
