Amazing Stay at Ermita Hotel in Cartagena! My mom and I had the pleasure of celebrating the New Year at the Ermita Hotel, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable stays we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, beautifully decorated with charming, cozy installations that perfectly blend modern comfort with local Cartagena charm. Every detail in the rooms and common areas contributed to a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. What truly made our experience exceptional was the incredible customer service. Special shoutouts to Jose, Viviana, and Sheila, these wonderful team members went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their genuine kindness and professionalism truly made us feel special, and their efforts turned our stay into a home-away-from-home experience. If you're looking for a beautiful place to stay in Cartagena with outstanding service and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend the Ermita Hotel. It’s the perfect spot to create unforgettable memories! Viviana Valencia

Very happy to have stayed here. Staff lovely and design tasteful. Location much preferable to staying in bocagrande -- here, you're an 8 minute walk to the old city (or you can reserve a free shuttle!) in a character-rich building by the sea instead of surrounded by soulless highrises. Pool area was nice, if intimate, with a large adjacent lounging area overlooking the ocean. Menu items looked delicious. Breakfast was pretty good, but I'd rather taste more inspired food than see staff dressed up as chiquita banana. First bedroom had a mold smell and was quite loud (close to the main street), but relocating toward the back was fine. No coffee makers or robes, but maybe that's normal. We found a great deal staying with points; standard pricing seems to be overreaching, imo.

What a great Tribute Hotel by Marriott and as a BonVoy member, we had a wonderful experience. The room was clean & property well maintained, nice rooftop area with a small pool, bar and lounge area with staff always ready to attend to you. Speaking of staff…..Daniela was an unbelievable host by secretly decorating our room for my Hubby’s Bday and making reservations for Cande which is one of the best restaurants in Cartagena; Ruben made sure our reservation was correct with perks; and Jose’, David and Navarro were always ready to help and were attentive security! Breakfast was always fresh and included excellent variety. Dinner at the restaurant was a nice Mediterranean twist! Thank you to Viviana, Shayla, Cristian and all the staff feeding us great food and teaching us Spanish! Ermita is walking distance to city sites, the beach and away from the hustle of most of the nite noise even being on a main st. The grocery store was downstairs just a half a block away. We were safe, able to relax, rest on a comfy bed in a clean environment and enjoyed adventure as well. Gracias mi Ermita Familia!

As has been true at all of the hotels during this trip, the people here were wonderful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The pool area was nice and we felt no need to travel to a distant isle to enjoy that activity. It is a short walk to the walled city that we trekked only during the day at the suggestion of locals. Like the rest of Colombia... and South America... walking among motor vehicles is daunting if you're unused to it...I suspect the inventer of Frogger might have been a Colombiano. One note: While an ocean view room seems like a nice thing... and we did have a good view of the beach... there is a very busy and noisy roadway between the hotel and ocean that added not at all to the view. While I can't recommend coming to Cartagena, if you do come, this is a good place to stay.

THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE GEM!! So close to the OLD ACITY. The hotel provides a shuttle service which is amazing (Mercedes Benz, may I add). They will take you to all of the nearby spots plus the airport(7:30 AM- 7:30 PM). If you take uber or Taxi to the old city, it’s two dollars. The food in Cartagena is so amazing so we never tried the hotel food until the last day. It blew us away. We ordered room service and it was the BEST food. Try the baklava!!! Omg! The doorman Jose Luis Navarro is so kind and welcoming with a bright energy. He ended up being our friend for 8 days. Always looked for him at the doors. Hotel is clean and housekeeping is top notch. For those of you coming from America the rooms are small. That’s the reality of any place outside of the U.S., rooms are adorable!!

Lovely boutique property facing the beach just attend a 15 minute walk from the old city. I loved this place-it’s tiny with a gorgeous little pool and all the regular amenities. Super friendly staff and I loved the location with that just a little bit outside of the wild Fontana can be Cartagena at night. Would definitely stay here again!!

Absolutely charming and fantastic boutique hotel just outside of the walled city. The food is phenomenal! The service is 5-star. The taxi or shuttle (which the hotel offers) is a quick and easy ride too! The room was large, clean and perfect, and the bed was extremely comfortable!! And the 90min on-perm massage was one of the best I have had in years!! We will definitely stay here again!!

Really enjoyed my stay— this hotel is a stone’s throw from the historic center, and right across the street from the beach. My room was very big, with the most comfortable bed. Terrific breakfast to boot. Shout out to Sebastian at the front desk who helped me with the free airport shuttle.
