A 48-Hour Itinerary for Córdoba, Spain

"The Ermita de la Candelaria restaurant opened in 2017 under Javier Campos, former manager of Bodegas Campos. It offers traditional cuisine in a courtyard setting, with ingredients sourced from the Andalusian countryside. The menu includes sirloin steak with seasonal vegetables in a green virgin olive oil sauce."

Wonderful place, great atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. We had tuna tartar and sea bass as a starter and both were very delicious. I would recommend both of them. Everything we ate were great. If you are looking for a decent restaurant for your dinner, I would definitely recommend here.

Awesome food and ambiance here! They don't speak English so just be aware of that. The only thing I really was offended by was immediately giving us a bowl of potato chips assuming we were American and actually wanted that at a fine dining restaurant LOL. Beyond that the food was delicious, the lamb and oxtail are amazing.

Arriving to Córdoba, exhausted from very long drive, a friend recommended that we go, and try this place. So, we did. It’s the feast of senses. Menu had excellent choice of meats, fish etc. We asked for recommendations, and we were very happy with what we had. Did I mention the setting, and extremely knowledgable staff? Go, see, eat, and enjoy....

We loved the restaurant, the service and the delicious food. Highlights included the oxtail, pork dishes and croquettes. The sorbet was probably the best dessert I have tasted. Excellent local red wine too.

I had the chipiriones on a bed of caramelised onions, lovely. Rather empty atmosphere though at 9pm. But lovely

This restaurant is a gem! The ambiance, the service, and the food are exceptional. The courtyard is idyllic, the perfect setting for a meal with dishes that showcase a depth of flavor and the breadth of variety of Andalusian cuisine. We had fish, pork, ox tail, and a variety of vegetable dishes—all of them exquisite. The servers were attentive and careful with our dietary restrictions. We highly recommend Ermita de la Candelaria!
