I had a great stay at Hotel Ermitage in Schönried. Initially, I was given Room 509, which was small and dark—more like a closet. However, the staff quickly moved me to Room 321, which was much better. The hotel offers full board, and the food is exceptional. Breakfast was a highlight with a spread of cheese, smoked salmon, eggs, sausages, and even Prosecco. Lunch featured a buffet with fresh salads and soups, and dinner had a similar buffet style with mains, cheese, and desserts. Tea time was a treat with 8-10 different cakes—wow!
The spa and wellness area were equally impressive, featuring an indoor-outdoor pool, large sauna, hammam, steam room, and a relaxing room. The spa does have a fully nude policy, which may be worth noting for some. The key system was very convenient with wristbands that granted access to rooms, pools, and the gym. Speaking of the gym—it was fully equipped and well-maintained.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed in a traditional Swiss chalet style but with modern amenities. It’s privately owned and impeccably maintained. Overall, a relaxing and luxurious experience. Highly recommended!
