Ermitage Wellness & Spa Hotel

We’ve been fortunate to visit twice now as a family. The hotel is a real gem - the staff are incredible, wonderful food (I dream about the cheese drawer) and fantastic spa facilities. Looking to book our next trip (this time with the dogs).

A big thank-you to the wonderful hotel and its amazing team! What I loved most were the incredible hiking trips they organize daily for guests — they take you to stunning places and actually hike alongside you, all completely free of charge. The hotel offers a beautiful view from one side, so it’s worth paying a little extra for a room with that view, as the standard classic rooms ( rather small) face the street direction. The spa is lovely, and the complimentary afternoon homemade cakes and lunch soups are a delightful touch. November is rather quiet since most hotels in Gstaad are closed, so visiting in October might give you a bit more to explore for a few days.

We had a wonderful 8 nights at Ermitage hotel. We arrived early, but they let us in the spa area to relax and then we had lunch and were let in our room at 3.30 pm. Check in time is 4 pm. Our room was nice, I requested a tea cattle and it was given right away together with two nice cups and spoons. The cleaning service was impeccable. The only disappointing was that shower enclosure glass wall was not long enough, water would get on the floor of the bathroom. Spa area is nice, lots of steam rooms, enough room to rest and relax and the view from the outside salt pool is beautiful. Food was plentiful and tasty, especially the cakes at 3pm. Most recommended, we will be back.

Good morning !|I went with a friend to have breakfast at the hotel and we were super well received from the entrance to the buffet!! We ate one of the best omelets I've ever tasted, and all thanks to the friendliness and kindness of Mr. Julio Cesar, he did everything to make sure everything was to our liking! I will definitely return to eat another omelet made by him! All the staff were the best, without a doubt the buffet is super well-stocked and nothing is missing! Thank you very much for the experience!

Wonderful resort located in the neighborhood of the lovely and charming Gstaad. To be mentioned are in particular the fully equipped spa and the availability of all the staff members, encompassing also Italian, French and English speaking personnel. Among the distinctive features of this really idyllic location, to be mentioned are the super efficient means of transports (buses and a little beautiful train, offering itself also in the outstanding Orient express old-style version), connecting Schoenried with Gstadd, Saanen until Montreaux and Interlaken. Such really efficient connections allow to live the beauties of the surroundings without the need to make use of the private car, which is undoubtedly a great advantage. While checking out, we had some payment problems due to the not acceptance of the Maestro debit cards, but all the staff members have been very supportive and at the end we have been able to fix this issue.

Fabulous hotel; two of us stayed two nights with breakfast & dinner included, the food was excellent, good but not overwhelming choice. The pools and spa are spacious and were sparsely used while we were there. Above all, the service is really high level, everyone consistently looking out for you and trying to be helpful. Will likely revisit.

What an unforgettable stay. From the moment we arrived at Hotel Ermitage, we felt embraced by the warmth and tranquility of the Alps. The breathtaking views, the immaculate attention to detail, and the gracious staff created a sense of peace and luxury that is rare to find.||The guided hikes and outdoor activities brought the beauty of the region to lifenand made each excursion feel both effortless and inspiring. It was a well-curated and memorable experience.

I got food poisoning — beware. If fish in the Alps sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Our room greeted us with half-empty drinks left by previous guests and a flickering broken lamp. Dinner started well (the lamb and duck were excellent, the ice cream very good), but the cheese display looked unappealing at best a health risk at worst (see photos), and the soups were disgusting (more like dishwater than food-see photo). Breakfast was much better, with a wide variety and plenty to enjoy. The spa and pool, however, were absolutely beautiful, relaxing, clean, and a real highlight of the stay. Staff ranged from very good to just okay, making the service inconsistent. Unfortunately, despite the wonderful spa experience, I still ended up with food poisoning and spent the next day sick at Geneva airport.
