Erongo Plateau Camp

What an amazing campsite. Spotlessly clean and so well thought out. Terrific views and scenic hike from camp. The road to the campsite adds to the adventure. One of our top 3 campsites in Namibia (out of 29).

Great remote campsite with an amazing view over the plateau. We stayed there between Etosha National Park and Swakopmund. The drive on the dirt road is a bit of an adventure, and the second turn-off is located slightly further than shown on Google Maps—but it’s definitely worth the trip. The campsites are spacious, each with a private bathroom and shower, and you can truly enjoy the nature and the sunset. Highly recommended. One of the nicest camps in Namibia. The bathroom was excellent and there are only a few campsites. Luckily they had last minute availability and the host was very responsive on WhatsApp. The guy working there, Absalom, was very friendly and helpful. Overall a very well organized camp in a great location.

Very nice, clean, spacious, quiet campsite build on a hill, so you can experience the stunning view. Facility of shower, toilet, just great! Lighting in the building at night was done with a candle, so very cool :) All campsites look out on the water supply for the animals. When it got dark we got to see some zebras. And I'm sure there were much more to see during the rest of the night. Also Erongo mountains, it's a really nice place to be. I advise all campers to make a stop here. We did it for 1 night, but i would certainly advise you to do 2!

Spent a night camping under a huge sky! Camp site Zebra was great with shade in late afternoon. On arrival we were welcomed by Elia and escorted to our site. Spotlessly clean an well organized. Ablutions were immaculately clean. Fantastic hot water shower followed by a blazing hard wood camp fire! Took the the mountain trail early the next morning for a vigorous 6 km walk. A peaceful paradise in the bush! Thank-you as well foe allowing us to bring our dog - a memorable time was had by all.

The track to get here is long and the road isn't in great condition but the view from the camp is great. |There are only 3 camps here each their own braai and shaded area. A lovely shared ablution block that is tended daily and a donkey boiler provides hot water.|A very quiet and peaceful spot worth the drive out to with gemsbok and giraffe found just around the camp.

Great place for camping. Nice and clean. Very well maintained. Love the trails with beautiful views. Lovely helpful kind staff. There is nothing not to love. Gives a perfect camping adventure! Looking forward to the 3rd round. My dogs loves it here too! 🤭

I camped here for 3 nights in November 2020 - This was THE CLEANEST campsite I have ever seen. We walk around a lot of places at night with a UV torch looking for scorpions to photograph, and we mostly see discarded cigarette butts, pieces of toilet paper and plastic shining back, there was NONE of those here! The bathrooms were SPOTLESS, the campsite fireplaces so CLEAN we thought we were the first to make use of them! ||There is a waterhole lit by a spotlight visible from the campsite, where we saw Dik-dik, Kudu, Mountain Zebra, Duiker antelope, Steenbok and even got lucky to see a LEOPARD drinking water one evening (thanks to the zebras who gave it away!). The hiking trails are exceptionally great, and visibly a LOT of work went into the trails to make them easy to follow and not get lost in the lush bush around. The camp attendant, Absalom, is a TRUE hard worker and it shows that he loves keeping his campsite in a spotless condition. He made sure we ALWAYS had hot water and was willing to help with anything. ||We got STUNNING bird photos as well, and quite a few endemic birds are around the area.||Another pleasant surprise was the fact that one of the campsites is wheel-chair friendly, which is GREAT!||I would really recommend this area, both because of the safety, the view, and the fauna and flora found there. Thank you, you truly care about the environment, and it shows!
