With its over 100-year history, this place is a sanctuary of sorts for the summit of Grossglockner. The ritual begins with eating only what the kitchen serves, or your own food in the vestibules, and sleeping in shared rooms, where a 5 am wake-up call is commonplace. Then comes the breakfast included in the price, served between 5 and 6 am, and the dining room empties as almost everyone, when the snow is still hard after the night, heads for the summit, for that summit, which so many have climbed before, and so many will climb after us.

The cabin exceeded my expectations. Comfortable beds, clean, two blankets for each person. You need to make reservations ahead as in season they tend to be fully booked. Breakfast was excellent, a buffet with many options and as much as you need to eat and coffee/tea. Water is 2.5 eur for 1.5 l. The rest of the prices are also ok for a mountain cabin (this means higher than in the cities).

The highest beds in Austria to sleep, the highest Restaurant to eat and the highest place to drink Skiwasser, Beer or Schnaps. Wonderful managed by Toni and his Team in a very challenging environment. The access is a nice climb and or a long hike, and you can enjoy incredible views all around.

For its height – wonderful. Warm sleeping and dining rooms, delicious food, some souvenirs for sale. No shower, no water in fact (just bottled drinking water and melted for soups and other dishes), but there's WC. You should leave your equipment in a big room near the entrance, you should also change your boots (here you can find their own collection of slippers – you can put it on), there are some hangers for coats and equipment outside the special equipment room. Finally, here lives a nice dog who meets the tourists.

This was one of the best experience i everything had on cabin. In 3500 m above the sea level you can still doing Beer, eat great food and stay a night in warm bed. It is with its position a great place to stay for night or just a warm meal before going up to GG.

Still the best resting place to reach Grossglockner. The staff is fast and helpful, rooms are also comfortable. The price is normal, same as the other huttes over 3000m. I like this place 🙂

This hut is a great place to stay, a bit expensive because of the location. The food is very good and comes in good portions. The breakfast is a little simple but it's enough. you can get a extra cup of coffee or extra diner.

Refuge is above 3400m so it is the highest place where you can sleep before climbing Grossglockner summit. Many rooms, good kitchen. You can pay only by cash. There are no showers, no water!
