"Housed in a converted windmill on lovely Platja de Ses Illetes, this seafood institution is famed for its lobster. It has timber ceilings and white tablecloths, a generous covered stone terrace, and a loungy sundeck."

I recently visited this restaurant for lunch with two friends while in Formentera. Given its reputation, we were eager to see what it had to offer. The location is beautiful, with a cozy atmosphere and stunning views. The service was excellent—attentive and professional. The food was good, but not particularly memorable. What left me puzzled, however, was the price. This place is extremely expensive, and I struggle to see why. There was nothing about the food, service, or setting that seemed to justify the steep prices. To be clear, we were aware of the costs before we came, so I'm not complaining about that. However, I base my reviews heavily on the value for money, and in this case, the quality-price ratio just doesn’t add up. For that reason, I can't give this place more than 3 stars.

Must arrive here by boat for a complete experience. The service is top, all staff was great. It is definetly an expensive restaurant but worth the effort

Great little chic casual spot Inside and outside dining with a nice cross breeze. Food was really tasty. I recommend ordering the steak and the spaghetti with clams. To finish order the tiramisu it’s delicious 🤤

We had lunch here during our boat charter. We had the best view from our table. We had the shrimp carpaccio and clams in white wine sauce as a starter and then paella with lobster, tasty a really big portion. And also the cheescake as a dessert was yummy. Nice food with a great view and frirendly staff.

We had lunch at Es Moli de Sal on the beautiful Platja de Ses Illetes, Formentera. We were lucky to get a table outside so we could enjoy the views. Plenty of waiters running around and service was good, friendly and professional. We had several starters: tomato tartare, burrata, cerviche and tuna tartare: all were really good. For main we had the bogavante pasta (to share) and the pasta vongole. All the pasta was nice al dente and tasty. For dessert we choose the bucket of icecream (and toppings) to share: super!

This location is stunning for lunch with a view. We had the lobster paella and unfortunately it was very salty so not the best we’ve had. The staff are all lovely & they even had gluten free bread for me. They will pick you up on your boat if you radio in. The homemade icecream is amazing!
