Es Racó d'es Teix

We had a great experience at this restaurant from a gastro point of view, the menu fell in the range of 50 euros (drinks not included) and you can select a 1st, a main & a dessert. I chose fish soup, turbot & chocolate cake. All these 3 picks were superbly finished. Only down point: we asked for a recommendation in wine and they brought the most expensive white without warning first on pricing (80€ the bottle, which is fine...but would love to have had the heads up first) In any case, fine place, comfy ambient and attentive staff, I recommend

Simply amazing and wonderful. For ~60eur you have the chance to taste not 3 dishes as per the menu but in fact 5 dishes (extra apetizer at the beginning, small dessert in the end) and few great wines. The view from the terrace is great, the flavour is wonderful and varying. Way of serving is simply terrific. Waiters are very helpful and polite. In fact if you consider that: 1) this is Deia, village where even Richard Branson bought a villa 2) michellin star restaurant 3) variety and number of dishes & wines 4) chef has worked in number of the best redtaurants in the world... ...one could say that 60eur is like eating for free...that's why I propose leaving appriopriate tip (30%?) I hope I will have a chance to try the dinner menu but it's hard to get a table (few months in advance?).

Such a wonderful and delicious experience. We decided to do the full tasting menu of 6 dishes and we shared a wine pairing. Each dish was meticulous in flavor, texture, and presentation. We are so glad we made the reservation in advance and had the chance to dine here.

This restaurant one of the best Michelin star I have been visited in Spanish “ número uno” in terms of the view outstanding, quality food outstanding, service excellent and very lovely and warm welcoming, staff they are the best so far they treat as part of their family, and atmosphere you can’t describe it. The best high cousin sea food I ever tried. Outstanding outstanding outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant, the tables are very few and you need to book it very early. All the best for them I will have another visit to them 🥰🥰🥰🥰🇪🇸

Breathtaking setting, with food as delicious as it is visually exciting. We had the four course lunch tasting menu which included several amuse bouche. Unforgettable dinning experience that should not be missed!

We are trying all of the Michelin star restaurants in Majorca. This one comes in middle place. Food was good but nothing that we are craving after we left. The ambience is lovely and it's fun to walk around the town.The service was outstanding.

We liked it here. Beautiful food and wine, attentive service and perfect view. We loved the wine we had so much we asked for a bottle to take home, I assumed it would be discounted as we were not having it in the restaurant but I was wrong and we ended up paying €68 for a bottle of wine that retails for €28.

One of my most incredible dinners: the scenery and the food and the owners/staff: some of the best of the best I have experienced. An incredibly romantic place and the 20 anos menu was delicious - every single course was amazing!

Fantastic lunch in Deia. This restaurant was recommended by a friend (and has a Michelin star) so we had to come check it out. We got the 4 course chefs tasting and wine pairing and every course and appertiv was delicious. We stared with the carpaccio, followed by the lobster ravioli, the lemon crusted sea bass before finishing off with desert. The family that runs the place is just lovely. My best food experience in Mallorca, 10/10!

An absolutely fabulous gastronomic experience. Family run restaurant that is beautifully located with amazing views of Deia. Over the top cuisine and wine pairing and exquisite service. Highly recommend!!

What an incredible experience. A truly lovely evening. Take your time, soak it all in, enjoy the family friendly service and atmosphere and eat some of the best food on the planet. I dreamt of the flavors all night! P.S. I was curious about some of the wonderful concoctions and the owner was super friendly and engaging. I would have never figured out arugula mousse. I'll never forget it!

As the ratings go, the food it truly is as good as it gets! Friendly attentive staff. Incredibly views if dining outside! We opted to not do the fixed price tasting menu, but got a little bit of everything. The foie is a winner as far as appetizers go. The entrees were fresh and had the right balances of ingredients. I had the seafood risotto which was done how risotto should be done. We ordered the apple pie dessert, and I have to say it was quite possibly the best thing I've ever had! Sommelier knew his wines well and led us in the right direction! Would definitely go back when in Mallorca. If driving and parking at the restaurant in one of their 6 spots, have fun backing down the drive ;-)

This was an amazing experience. The food, atmosphere, and service were excellent. We had a good bottle of wine (12 Volts) that we will always remember. I had the tasting menu and my husband had the lamb, both outstanding. Good food paired with a great view makes for an amazing night!

As the only Michelin Star in Deia we wanted to try Es Raco d'es Teix. It had come recommended as well. We were a large group and they accommodated our desire for a later reservation. Dinner takes a while, so I suggest ou not go late. We essentially closed out the place. They were very accommodating though with vegetarian options, substitutions, and additions. The food was good overall but not amazing. Nice setting. Service was very proper but very slow pacing. We were ready for the meal to be over. The cheese, was one of the best courses. Had some good dishes generally but others that were underwhelming. I wouldn't say Michelin level, especially for the price.

Definitely not worth a Michelin Star. Food are lack of creativity. Also, one of their starters of the lunch menu is so similar with one of the main courses, I didn't expect that at all. The sweets after the dessert was horrible, I regret to have finished with that. Would have been better to just end with the desert. Staffs there don't really know how to pour water, and forgot that they have already served one of the things ( they came with the thing that they already served and was about to serve it again). Well, overall the food is not bad. However I would say that with the price they could do a bit better. Otherwise I doubt they can have the star again in the future. Views at the restaurant is good though, but I guess that has nothing to do with the food.

I've been already twice at Es Raco d'es Teix - and I was never disappointed. The setting is really stunning, the terrace is soooo lovely. The waiters even remembered where I sat first time. Service is absolutely flawless, food is really awesome and innovative. Of couse, it's not cheap but it's definitely worth the money. I recommend you to book early, because a) you can watch the sunset b) at night the flying ants are coming (everywhere in Deia) which are harmless but annoying ... 19-20:00 should be perfect.
