Escape Bajo (Brew, Bite, Bed)

Stumbled upon this cafe on my way to dinner at another restaurant and couldn’t resist the carrot cake—so I had to stop by. It did not disappoint! Spacious, cozy, and boasting a lovely view of the harbor 👍

really clean and comfy room, helpful staff, good early breakfast to support the komodo trip which starts very early. great location, short walk from the night market. nice view from our room to the sea. prepare with earplugs as the cafe is right next to it and also mosque is loud.

Did not stay here, but came here for breakfast as well as moped rental:) The view of the harbour is unmatched here and the price seems reasonable for quality of food, the rental here is also reasonably priced:)

Classic bait and switch. I booked and paid for a king bed room with sea and garden view through booking.com. I recieved a standard private room with no view. Literally a tarp. When I asked for the room I had paid for I was told it was not available and to contact booking.com. Booking.com then told me to talk to hotel management. Hotel management says talk to booking.com. In the end I paid a very high premium price for a king room with sea and garden view for 2 nights. I recieved a basement room with a tarp view for 1 night that cost less than 1/3 the price per night of what I paid. And I was billed for 2 nights. So I paid literally 6x the price and am out one entire day of my vacation trying to find resolution and now moving to another hotel to find a seaview room. Save your time, save your money, save your vacation and avoid this place. Decent location for proximity to the sea. But you will not see the sea, no matter what you book or pay. You have been warned.

I am here almost everyday during my vacation in bajo for their coffee,banana cake etc Their coffee are very good also I love their banana cake and apple pie,it’s my favorite hehe didn’t manage to stay here as they are full . I can tell you this is my fav cafe ever as you can eat and drink your coffee with pretty scenery. The feelings being here are just lovely 🥰 Would like to come back again next time.

Very nice hotel. Hot water, AC, sink and nice view. The staff is very nice. Great coffee. We had construction under our window on the first day but the hotel warned us the morning. Second day was much better without construction noise. I could only recommend to change window to double glass to better isolate from noise, retain AC cold in the room and prevent mosquitoes from getting in.

The kindness of the staff is amazing and make this place deserve the 5 starts The rooms are really nice clean and the view is breathtaking It would just be perfect if we were able to turn off the light outside the balcony during the night…
