Eskdale Hotel

We had a lovely stay at the Eskdale Hotel. First impressions were extremely friendly and helpful staff, who came outside to guide us to nearby parking. The room was OK, but a little dated and the shower didn't work properly. However, the location was lovely and we had an evening stroll along the river at the back of the hotel. We ate at the hotel and the food was lovely, very professionally served by the waiter, and breakfast was also great. All in all, we would definitely stay again, but the place could maybe do with a little updating.

Overnight stay for a Rorary dinner.|Had a wonderful welcome from Jackie on Reception who looked after us magnificently.|We struggle with luggage and stairs but Jackie just took charge and took us to a lovely room. Thank you Jackie your an asset to the Hotel.|Room nice with plenty of wee extras.|Rotary Presidents dinner was excellent. Food 1st class and service exemplary. |Breakfast was also lovely,excellent choice.|Compliments to Owners and your lovely staff.|Short stay but will go back soon.

Visited the hotel for Sunday lunch on Easter Sunday as we were visiting friends who live in Langholm. Had a lovely lunch, food was excellent. We were made very welcome. We had our well behaved dog with us & he was made welcome & given treats. It was good & certainly recommend. Hope its not too long until we return. Good to see John & his team. Christine & George

Clean throughout, friendly, helpful staff and great food. The room was a good size with a spacious bathroom; toiletries included a shower cap which so many places do not provide any more. An umbrella was available incase we wanted to go out and a bathrobe and pair of slippers were available in the room. The charging block was a nice touch saving us looking for sockets around the room.

The hotel is in the centre of Langholm. The room was comfortable and cosy. We had a front room and there is road noise, but ear plugs are provided, but we did not use them.|We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was very good, a good selection on the menu and good sized portions.|The staff are friendly and efficient, a special mention to Jacquie, Az and David.|We would happily stay again.

We were made to feel really welcome. The staff were really friendly, they engaged with my two kids and made them feel properly part of the dining experience.

One night stay at the hotel, the room was smallish but very clean and well appointed. We had an evening meal of fish and chips in the bar which was delicious. Good nights sleep and probably one of the best cooked breakfasts I've ever had.|Special mention to the staff Ryan and Az who could not have been more professional, welcoming and helpful.|Would certainly recommend.
