Great little hotel right on the beach front next to shopping street. Great views from the balcony overlooking the sea and palm trees. Was a great place to stay and good value. Had breakfast at cafes nearby as I prefer that than in the dining room indoors (doesn’t have outdoor seating) especially as it’s all so close or just sitting with my own food on the lovely sunny balcony.

We have just spent 12 nights half board at this hotel and couldn't fault it. The location and view from balcony were fantastic. Rooms cleaned every day with new towels. The beds were really comfortable too. I don't eat breakfast as a rule so struggled some mornings the evening meal was ok. Would I go again? Definitely yes I would 😀

The man on reception was lovely. The breakfast was fab. The rooms are lack lustre and need freshening up but they were clean and the bed and bathroom were fine. It was difficult for us as we booked with Jet 2 to ensure we had parking as we needed a car to go climbing. As it happened the hotel didn't have any parking and wanted 18 euros a day to secure parking in a different location. So we checked out and had to pay accommodation elsewhere. Which meant we also had to find food elsewhere that we had already paid for at the Esmeralda. If you want a clean no frills room. Don't need a car or a view ( our room backed on to a noisy backstreet) like all inclusive meals and lovely reception staff...this is a really good place to stay and good value.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel, especially as it has had some very negative reviews. Staff very helpful and friendly, room basic but very clean, and were cleaned everyday. Food was also nice. Not sure what previous reviewers were complaining about. This hotel is also very well situated for the beach, which is across the road, for the old town which is a 3 minute walk away, where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Also very close to nice bars and restaurants (especially "The zodiac bar" next door). Will definitely stay again next time we are in Benidorm.

Room is OK. Great views of beach and harbour. Bathroom is OK but the doors could do with a lick of paint. This currently makes the room look shabby. There is a TV and I got BBC news on it. Its not posh but at £250.00 for the week it's in a great location. The old town with tapas alley is very near and the beach is straight in front.

This place gets one star only because I couldn't give a review without giving it . A disaster from start to finish . Asked where the swimming pool was , and was told God's pool was outside the front door THE SEA . Very drole . The room was a joke , with one window that faced a brick wall . We had to pay ten euros a day to up grade to a better room for the week we were there . Still no sea view . The breakfast was very basic and that is being good to it . You could miss the entrance to this , so called hotel , quite easily as it's down in the basement . Near local buses and plentiful taxis service . Only positive is you are straight onto the beach . Give this place a miss .
