Good little restaurant on the opposite side of the Guadiana river, in Mertola serving traditional, seasonal fare. The pheasant starter was tart (pickled vegetables) and tasty, and the garlic bread accompanying it garlicky and delicious. Pork cheeks and lamb chop mains were good, but the winner was the dessert. Tasted like honey and walnuts (cake base), topped with meringue. Can someone tell me what its called?
