Esperia Hotel - Kavala

Rude staff!! Dirty and neglected rooms!!! ||The receptionist was very rude at check in and when asked about parking she acted like she didn't want us to park in their very small - only 8 parking spots available for the whole hotel - parking. ||We had to ask to get a receipt.||The room was very neglected. Stained walls. The door to the balcony was crooked and didn't lock properly. Very dusty over the bed and the tv didnt work properly.

Stayed in this hotel whilst on a group tour.|Room was hot but was manageable if the air conditioning was left on during the night .|View from small balcony seemed to be a busy side road however the room was quiet as you had a shutter door & normal.door so was good sound proofing from outside noise.|Rooms are every basic & need an update however they do the job , quiet & clean.|I liked the breakfast buffet , a huge selection from cereal, breads, hot food , fruit, cakes , hot & cold drinks , was nice to sit on the balcony area of breakfast room.

Rooms dated, but fully functional for those, like me, on a budget. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, with staff able to cope with the coach of people that were staying. Also hot things laid out in one place so you had to queue there and then queue again for other things meaning your hot food for cold. Great location though.

Location is good, you maybe will have a problem with the parking - they dinted have. Also the room is so dirty and noisy. You can hear the people from the other room when they are in the WC😬 Also the AiC is so bad. One good thing is the location of the hotel. 10 min to center and 10 min from some beach.

I was gonna stay for only two days but I've changed my mind also people in Kavala and Esperia Hotel Staff changed my mind then I extended my booking. It was my first holiday on my own, there were things I was thinking about - like where can I put my stuff, can I trust.. - now I'm just waiting for my next holiday! Hotel was clean, also it has a central location-you can walk to city centre in max 10 min-, breakfast was nice with various foods, breakfast area had a nice sea view, Staff was always smiling and helpful :) Thank you for everything. The hotel is terrible, there were hairs on the ground, bad service and it is not worth the money.

A 3-star review for a 3 star hotel. First, we got on the wrong foot when they gave us a dirty room. It was supposed to be 'recently renovated' but had stains on the furniture and on the walls. You can see the pictures. Also, it had hair on the floor in the room and bathroom, sand and dust. We asked them to change the room and they did. The rooms were noisy and you could easily hear through the thin walls. If you're an easy to wakeup sleeper ... you're done. If your room is on the front, towards the sea i mean, the street can be pretty loud. On booking, the breakfast was described as fabulous. Yes, fabulous. In reality, it was exactly the same everyday, kind of unvaried, and with a funny omelette. Funny how? It was watery. If you can imagine. The breakfasts were acceptable, almost decent. The staff was friendly and cooperative. The position of the hotel is good, central, easy to get anywhere. They said the hotel had parking based on availability. In reality, it was never available. So, we had to park the car in a nearby private parking for 6 euro / day. The parking was right in front of the hotel, across the street. So, if I had to give it a note, 6 out of ten. It was decent, okish.

Great location, cleanness and service also great, but room are exceptionally small! On Booking site in so called comfort room for three persons two person can not pass in the different directions, between beds and other room furniture. That furniture is minimalistic table and shelve for luggage! Breakfast could be better also. But, this hotel is actually good value for money. We spent minimum time there, so I'm not complaining much. Kavala is great!
