Esplanada Cafe

My favourite place, luckily found on the first day of vacation. Live music most of the time, interesting menu items like mazagren coffee. Staff members were nice. The tree abouve the tables is amazing. What species is it?

Great little spot in the shade for a bite to eat and something to drink before visiting the botanical gardens. The live music was an added bonus.

Went the with my wife and our two kids food and service were amazing! The tree is marvelous and the location is at the heart of Lisbon, the vibe was great. I almost fell in love with one of the waitress but my future ex-wife was there soo I have to behave a little. I definitely recommend the place if you are searching for amazing secret locations.

This cafe is a great place to grab a bite in the shadow of the massive trees. The food we ordered was quite good, only odd thing is that their cheese platter doesn’t come with bread, that needs to be ordered separately. On Saturdays you can enjoy the local market and often live music which makes the place really special. Main downsides: the service is VERY slow and, despite having a quite a few vegetarian and vegan options in the menu, they are often “sold-out” leaving fries as last resort. The cash and the toilets are Not wheelchair accessible but all the outside seatings are.

Very relaxing and cool in the park Live music was lovely. Best prawns I've tasted in a yummy salad. A nice memory to take home to New Zealand 😍

Such a great venue with great atmosphere and delicious food. Had such a good time watching the European football championship live on screen. Apparently they always have some sort of entertainment like live music. Would definitely recommend going there!

Alltogether its a really nice place, really great vibes between the huge trees outside, having live music with our drinks - really loved it. We were having challenges communicating with the staff (such as ordering, paying) as it seemed like they didn't really speak english. I assume they saw on us we are tourists, and they knew their english wasn't the best, so none of them came up to us until I asked if someone could pick up our order. We've been waiting for 10+ minutes, while we could see the staff went up to others to get their orders, people arriving after us even much later. So there is room for development in that topic for sure, but other than that, it was a really nice experience.

I only had a drink and olives, resting from the walk up. Very nice terrace under the trees but the service is slow: it's well staffed but something doesn't work. Average prices.
