"Set in a Neoclassical building close to Galerias Pacifico, Esplendor's white walls, floating staircase, and massive portraits of Argentine icons like Che Guevara, Eva Perón lend the hotel an art gallery vibe. Because it is located close to the pedestrian- and shopping-friendly Calle Florida as well as office towers, the hotel attracts a mixed bag of execs in town for business as well as couples from Brazil and other Latin American countries in town on a shopping spree. All somewhat different, the rooms are decorated in pastel colors and have a mix of contemporary and mid-century modern furniture, such as Bertoia steel-mesh chairs. Some rooms feature separate tub and showers." - Celeste Moure

Esplendor Buenos Aires, Argentina - Hotel Review | Condé Nast Traveler

"How did it strike you on arrival? Set in a Neoclassical building close to Galerias Pacifico, Esplendor's white walls, floating staircase, and massive portraits of Argentine icons like Che Guevara and Eva Perón lend the hotel an art gallery vibe. Nice. What’s the crowd like? Because it is located close to the pedestrian- and shopping-friendly Calle Florida as well as office towers, the hotel attracts a mixed bag of execs in town for business as well as couples from Brazil and other Latin American countries in town on a shopping spree. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. All somewhat different, the rooms are decorated in pastel colors and have a mix of contemporary and mid-century modern furniture, such as Bertoia steel-mesh chairs. Some rooms feature separate tub and showers. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase? The bigger suites have hot tubs in the bedrooms, a nice touch if you're into that kind of thing. The WiFi is free and works as expected. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you. A game room is outfitted with a pool table, a variety of board games, as well as Nintendo and other electronic games. The hotel is pet friendly. Bottom line: worth it, and why? This mid-range hotel is worth checking in thanks to a good location close to various shopping options, great service, and fresh decor." - Celeste Moure

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Gustavo, who was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Each day, he answered our questions and assisted us with transportation around the city.||||I was especially happy to meet Juan Carlos, as he was the one I had communicated with prior to our arrival. He was attentive to all my questions, and his helpfulness reassured us that we would have a wonderful stay. His kindness and dedication made our experience even more special.||||We also had the pleasure of meeting Ariel, who always ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Daily, we were always greeted by Ariel, Gustavo or Juan Carlos. Viviene was wonderful as well—she patiently answered our many questions and made sure we had our transportation to a Tango Show.||||The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating that we truly felt at home. A special thank you to the housekeeping team for keeping everything so clean and well-maintained.||||By the end of our stay, it felt like we were saying goodbye to family. We had a fantastic experience and sincerely appreciate the outstanding hospitality. Thank you!

Great location, great old building. We had a suite with a bath. Great size room. Furniture, furnishings, linen, bed, pillows are all poor. No fitted sheet or mattress protector meant 5 nights of slippery sleep. Couch to sit on is so old and uncomfortable. Floorboards and therefore flooring very poorly laid, budget too. Said it had a safe that never worked. Said it had a tumble dryer - not sure where. Said it had an iron - no iron. Tiny little fridge on the floor, which should be placed on the large countertop. No where to hang hand towels by basin. There is nowhere to hang bath towels by the bath. The service of the room was not good.

I would not stay again in the future. The VIP suite was very loud that I could hear all things from the street noice (I'm a light sleeper) and I had to change to a different room. The staff was very nice and kind to help and provided me a very quiet room (which felt like a different world!). The rooms in general felt old and not well designed with some awkward missing details and space arrangements like the VIP suite had the bathroom right in the middle of the room without being attached to the sink, and in the regular suite the bathroom door opened inwards and almost touched the toilet (as if the architect didn't stay here themselves). The free breakfasts were awesome. Location and services were great but the room themselves are not up to my expectations.

The rooms are not bad but they only had rooms on the first 4 floors. It is noisy during the week and hard to sleep in late. Food was ok- you have to pay for good coffee.

We stayed only for a night, between flights. Very good breakfast provided, clean rooms, very helpful staff. Seems to be very safe area near Florida street, walkable distance to obelisk, around plenty restaurants

A nice hotel in a good Location close to bus and metro but as well you can walk to most sights. In a old building with interesting inside area with lots of moderan art however i would say the hotel has a need for renovation, same like our room, which was very spacy but could use a upgrade. The main street can be rather load as well. Very good and friendly staff which make your stay even better. Pricewise is really good. Decent breakfast always the same so gets Boring after a few days. Coffea is available throughout the day in the lobby.

Others have written about the area etc. I experienced a few problems in the hotel and they were all dealt with to my complete satisfaction. One of the problems was of my own making. The reception staff got a bus journey rebooked at no extra expense and printed new tickets for which I am very grateful.

I checked out of this hotel halfway through a two-week stay. Suspicious of certain activity I found I could turn my iPad into a motion detection camera by downloading an app. Sure enough, it didn’t take long before I had a recording of a member of staff entering the room, opening the room safe and pocketing some contents. Friends in other rooms also reported missing money, but did not have any proof. The thieving technique appears to be slicing the top off the wads of pesos you need in this largely cash society to minimise risk of detection. The police were a bureaucratic black hole. Wyndham’s customer services and Group management were utterly disinterested. So, fellow travellers, we are on our own and I suggest you avoid this hotel unless you are confident about your security. A pity, because the front desk staff were the best, but if you do not remove the bad apple it will spoil the whole barrel.
