Essque Zalu Zanzibar

Essque Zalu was the perfect solo escape. The staff made me feel so welcome from the moment I arrived. The views are absolutely stunning, especially at sunset by the infinity pool. My room was spacious, spotless, and so peaceful. Loved dining at the jetty restaurant — fresh seafood with the ocean breeze is unbeatable. I felt safe, relaxed, and completely pampered. Can’t wait to come back!

What a wonderful experience staying at Essque Zalu! The staff were amazing, attentive and caring. I loved the rooms they were rustic and cool and I had great nights sleep for my stay! We done half board and the breakfast and dinner there were lots of choices for both veggie and meat eaters. The pool area was beautiful at night along with the pier making it great for a stroll after dinner.||Thank you for having us

We were group of 9 persons from India. It started with a call to me from Ms. Lindy the sales head for the property. She was very cooperative to provide us all the details as well as videos which helped us in booking. The property has a mesmerising view being located on the beach and the music of waves is so serene. The Jetty restaurant makes you feel as if you are having the meal in between the Ocean and bar too over there gives you the kick which you need for relaxing. ||Would not like to miss giving a special thanks to Chef Ibrahim who ensured we had the delicious food of our choice and went that extra mile to prepare Indian Dessert.||Al in all it’s an experience which we will cherish throughout our life.||WOULD RECOMMEND IT AS ‘MUST VISIT’

I had an excellent stay at this hotel! The food was absolutely outstanding – a definite 10/10 – with every meal exceeding expectations. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Everything from the service to the atmosphere made it a truly enjoyable experience. I would happily return and highly recommend it to others ❤️

The staff was amazing. The resort is beautiful. My family and I had a great time. Everything about Zalu was great. I am very happy we went with this resort. We plan on coming back in the near future. It’s family and children friendly. The food was amazing.

We enjoyed our honeymoon at Essque Zalu! The property was beautiful and the staff friendly. The breakfast and dinner was also very good and we enjoyed most of what we ate. The one downside is the beach front isn’t accessible except for a few hours during low tide where you can walk out on the rocks, so you’ll need to take the shuttle they provide to Kendwa Rocks beach, about 10 minutes away. That’s where you can also do water activities. Another option is to take your own transport to Nungwi Beach. We stayed for 9 nights and did the honeymoon package which included a private dinner setup on one night and 30 minute massage.

Our stay was more than perfect! Loved every moment at the hotel. Staff, service, experience, food, vibes all was absolutely great!! Everyone was super friendly and Moureen was very sweet and helpful to meet all our needs and accommodations, Daniel the bartender was as well very nice and friendly. Thank you for such an absolutely great experience, will always recommend this place.

Very family friendly place. Pool , beach access (in the morning when tide is low), restaurants, everything was great.|Breakfast and dinner was part of the hotel stay which was amazing. |Would come back again.
