Tickets were reasonable and discount applied for over 65. The tour is self guided, unfortunately no audio guide. If you want to know more, I do recommend to get the museum ticket. The museum cinema hall had a movie explaining the history and it moved me to tears. Staff is helpful and very knowledgeable.

What a stadium, what fans, what an atmosphere! A spectacular show, interactive and fan-driven. Certainly whips up the fans, which in turn can only help motivate and drive players. Lovely to see families and the young in such numbers. What's wonderful also is the large numbers who stick around to eat at the many eateries around the stadium after the game.

The stadium tour is really great and you can take it on your own pace. Surely one of the finest stadiums in Europe, home of Benfica

Booked the tour while at the stadium. €15 is nothing for what you get. The stadium was very similar to Arsenal's and that one is a lot more expensive. You are free to roam around a lot of the parts in the stadium and there are a lot of staff in slcase you need anything. They speak very good English and I enjoyed it massively. Only shame was not being able to see the Eagles.

Loved the stadium tour. Love that it’s not at specific times and that you can walk around at your own pace. Each stop has a different person ready and eager to answer all of your questions. Amazing. Can buy stadium tour tickets online but we did buy tickets for the tour in the official shop and walked straight in for the tour.

The Estádio da Luz in Lisbon is impressive in size and modernity, and visiting or attending a match is truly exciting. The facilities are comfortable and well-signposted, and the atmosphere during events is fantastic. I don’t give it 5 stars because some areas can get very crowded and public transport access could be better, but overall it’s a highly recommended visit for football fans.

Good tour overall and worth the €15 for the stadium-only option. Highlights included the presidential suite, several different views around the ground, the press area, and even the club’s mascot eagles. Disappointed not to see the home team’s dressing room, which is usually a key part of stadium tours. But certainly worth a visit.

What a place. I did the stadium tour and museum whilst in the city on a cruise. Easy to get to and from using the metro. Everyone super friendly and got to meet two of the eagles. Hopefully back to watch a match soon...

Yelp
Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, or as it is otherwise known, Estádio da Luz is the largest football stadium in Portugal and in the top 25 largest stadiums in Europe, it is home to Benfica with a capacity just shy of 65,000. The stadium has hosted the UEFA Champions League Final on two occasions, since opening in 2003, hosting the 2014 and 2020 Finals. It also hosted matches during Euro 2004, including the Final and will highly likely host games in the FIFA World Cup 2034 when it is played in Spain, Portugal and Morocco. It is a large and modern stadium, easily accessible by the metro from the city centre, it is also right by the large Colombo Shopping Centre in case you want to kill some time and grab a bite to eat while waiting for traffic to die down after the game. I visited the stadium during my 2023 trip to Lisbon, the stadium is certainly very pretty, the arches at the top of the stadium in Benfica's red colours remind me of a smaller version of what you might find at Wembley, there is a red theme around the stadium with it being the colour of Benfica. The facilities at the stadium are amongst what you'd expect at the best clubs and stadiums across Europe, including a themed cafe, store and museum. The underpass approaching the stadium from the shopping centre is very unique in modern stadia, it gives you that 80's / 90's feel of walking through the terraces, it's decorated in art and graffiti all related to Benfica and just feels that good kind of old school which you don't get in the modern stadia anymore. I do think the walking route to the stadium could be better signposted, however, as I did struggle to find a safe and possible route. 4* - Amongst the top stadiums in Europe, which we will hopefully see host further big games in the future.

Yelp
I have been to two games at the Estadio da Luz, and both times I had an amazing time! (Champions Leauge against Zenit & Bayer Münich) The atmosphere before the game was just as amazing as when the game started. People standing outside, drinking their beers & eating food from little food trucks, and buying some football gear. Everyone extremely friendly and happy, despite which team you will support. I had expected to see some clashes between the supporters, but that never happened. Quite the opposite actually; people were taking pictures with the supporters of the opposite team, shaking hands and having a few laughs. Amazing to see such good sportsman ships. Before the game starts you have one of the 3 Benfica eagles fly around, yea an actually eagle! You have the songs and the cheers from the fan, and it is absolutely amazing. Fireworks are not allowed inside the stadium, and neither is any alcoholic drinks. You can have your beer before you enter the stadium, but once you "cross over" you will be asked to either drink it all at once or throw it out. As I have said in other reviews, you must experience a Portuguese football game at least once or twice to really experience a part of the Portuguese culture.

Yelp
I've had the opportunity.....wait....no.....privilege to attend some of the worlds greatest football venues. The atmosphere, fans and of course sight lines all can make and break your experience. The fans in Lisboa do it right and the architect did a masterful job at creating an amazing stadium. Even if you are not a fan of the sport, attending a S.L. Benfica game in it's home stadium should be added to any sports fan bucket list.

Yelp
Thi stadium was built to replace the old Estádio da Luz (which means Stadium of Light, if you know your football you'll notice that it is the same name of Sunderland's stadium, the reason is that Sunderland liked the stadium so much that they wanted theirs to be renamed like Benfica's) for the Euro 2004, that was held in Portugal. This is one of many purpose built stadiums across the country for the venue. I went there for the opening match of this 2008-2009 season of the Portuguese football league. It was SLBenfica versus FC Porto and it was a crappy match. But the experience of being in that stadium was amazing, they even tried to do an opening just like an American sports show (NFL kinda stuff) and it looked nice. Vitória (Benfica's mascot, which is a real eagle and her name means Victory) flew three time over the tiers and return to ther owner in the middle of the field. It was a pretty nice show. After having visited some other stadiums, like the Millennium (at Cardiff) I have to say that Estádio da Luz has a really good level of technology, security and design. It is pretty to look at! And not only that you are just next to a multitude of shops at the Colombo shopping center on the other side of the road. The stadium also has an Adidas shop, a Media Markt and 2 or 3 Restaurants. If you like architecture and don't mind football go there for a match, you won't regret it! (try to go for one of the big ones if you can but be on the lookout for trouble amongst fans)
