Honest Frequent Traveler Review: By all means if you are visiting Argentina football is a mandatory stop. This is the national team’s stadium and the River Plate home. Take the full tour, it is worthy. The tour itself is a bit fast and lacks soul ( Emotions) but the museum very well compensates specially at the 4K experience.

Great experience!! It's a very modern venue. There was no line to enter the stadium. Our seats were very close to the court. Inside, you can buy hamburgers, fries, empanadas, and non-alcoholic drinks.

This beautiful, and World's famous stadium is the place to see in Buenos Aires. Looks amazing on the inside, and it was such a pleasure to be there today and have a tour around it. Actually, it wasn't tour really, it was stands and the court, no tunnels, and lockerrooms, but better then Bombonera, which only socios can enter the stadium! 😡😡

Top notch stadium! Everyone was extremely helpful. Had issues with my tickets since I'm an international member. They were able to resolve it within 5 minutes!

WOW! Oasis first gig here was immense, stadium is easy to get to and from and lovely inside. Shame doesn't sell beers but that's all.

A unique, amazing, vivid experience every futbol fan should live.

This is the stadium for the football team River Plate. I was at this stadium as well as the stadium for the other local team Boca Juniors (La Bombonera). I actually liked La Bombonera a little more as that place is more colorful and it's in a more working class neighborhood that is covered in graffiti. Estadio Monumental was nice but in a different kind of way. It was more modern, cleaner and better maintained. If you cannot attend a game, they offer a tour. I recommend doing the tour that combines a visit to the museum plus the stadium interior. The museum has lots of memorabilia, while the stadium part involves walking through the stands and learning more about both the history of the stadium and the team. It was a fun exerperience and I am glad I was able to check it out.

The most beautiful stadium in the world, the best fans, the team , the history , the passion. Going to El Museo River and the Stadium tour is the most magical wonderful experience there is. Akin to going to the Holy Land if your a soccer fan. The Museo River (which closes early on game days) and the River Plate stadium tour are a MUST for any visitor to BA. Grab a coffee at "La Maquina" the cafeteria, even the sugar packets have the River Plate emblem. #1) The fans are civilized , not like some pepper spray wiling animals like our arch rivals #2) Its in the posher part of town, Nun~ez, next to Belgrano. #3) easily accessible by rail #4) If you drive or take a taxi from Retiro the ride up Alcorta is beautiful. You pass the MALBA, beautiful scenic parks and the occasional glimpse of the Rio de la Plata If you're a foreigner avoid la boca at all costs, "caminito" is like a tourist trap with beggars and other scammers. The surrounding area is a "villa de miseria" (slum) with a better paint job full crackheads (faloperos de paco) . They make their $ from robbing tourists, just youtube "motochorro la boca". Not to mention the smell because of the huge open sewer called the riachuelo.

Great stadium, not my best but it was great. There are 4 check points before you can get in and there is military everywhere including tank. You almost feel like you going to war. The bathroom feels like you are in prison, no mirrors, no toilet seats, no toilet paper, no nothing!!
