Just reopened with new owners (three brothers). Tastefully redecorated, retaining the regional feel, which is reflected in the food.
The beef cheeks in aspic were super, the tripe really good, as was the salad. A delicious local pork dripping (smout) is served in place of butter. Chips were top Flemish quality.
Lupulus, Anosteké and St Bernardus Triple on tap, plus a good selection of bottles, all at decent prices.
It would be nice to see the bar being more utilized for customers who just want a drink, as this is what differentiates a true Estaminet from a restaurant.
