"Motoring down the extensive drive, fields and trees occupying the flat land, it appears this will truly be a rural retreat—and a place to recharge yourself. At the colonial mansion turned boutique hotel, guests can hack across the estancia, go trekking, take a carriage ride, go bird-spotting, or sunbathe by the swimming pool." - Sorrel Moseley-Williams

My wife and I recently visited La Bamba de Areco on our honeymoon and it was the highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived Guillermo, the General Manager, Camilla and Mikayla, the hosts, and the rest of the staff were polite, attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Every meal was perfectly crafted and delicious down to the wine pairings. The communal dining with all guests together was a welcome surprise as we were able to meet and spend time with guests that we may not have otherwise interacted with. In addition to the gastronomy, the many activities guests can choose from provide a wide array of unique and entertaining options to fill your day. We went on multiple horseback rides, rode around the grounds in a horse-drawn carriage, and played lawn bowling on the beautiful front grounds. If you're looking for relaxing activities, the pool and afternoon tea were two of our favorites to wind down. The twice daily housekeeping service kept our cozy room in perfect order the entire stay. The location ~100 - 120 minutes outside of Buenos Aires makes the estancia a bit time consuming to get to but a very easy concession for the overall experience.

We came here for lunch and an afternoon of relaxation. Quite a gem of a place, service was impeccable and we dined with the general manager, who was very nice and hospitable. The young lady who took us around was friendly and helpful. The BBQ lunch was exceptional. Next time we must stay the night to enjoy the hotel.

A magnificent 2 night stay in a remarkably well appointed Polo Estate, with first class service from start to finish. Amazing meals, flawless hospitality & exceptional staff - a big thank you to hosts Guillermo & Lucilla, and their entire team including Michaela, Santiago, Ayumi, Valentino & Eduardo! & both dogs Samba & Luna

Our girls trip took us to La Bamba on our recent trip to Argentina. It was such a unique experience -- from the scenery to the horseback riding to the communal meals with people we otherwise would have never met! We definitely recommend this spot for a couple of nights to get out of Buenos Aires and enjoy a very slowed down (little wifi!), relaxing experience. Special shout out to Michaela, Segundo, Jo, and Eduardo for making our experience so special.

Beautiful property. Excellent service. Many fun activities: horse riding, horse carriage, swimming, bicycle etc. or just relaxing. Family style eating - sitting with other guests at a long table and getting to know everyone. The cowboy with horse show is special. The only drawback is the mosquitoes (especially during horse riding, make sure don’t wear tight pants) although there are repellents everywhere.

Simply lovely . A gaucho comes galloping down to let you in the gate and from then on you are in the lap of luxury . The staff are friendly and helpful without being obsequious. They love it if you are genuinely interested in the Estancia , the horses , the wildlife and the locality . The riding is great , the carriage drive good fun and lunches particularly are fantastic . Make the time to visit - you won’t be disappointed .

A beautiful resort and grounds. Very relaxing and fabulous service, with very good food. Horse-riding is also available and there is a pool. However, for a hotel of this quality it was surprising to have no internet in bedrooms or a shower there.

We came here direct from international airport in Buenos after 14 hours flight from Europe. And I can tell you - this is a perfect start of any Argentinian journey ! You need less than 2 hours to enter this idyllic, quiet and elegant world of country polo club with smiling and helpful people around you. This is an historic site, so rooms are not very fancy, but have everything what you need (maybe wifi in rooms will be additional plus for La Bamba).||Endless green fields, beautiful old trees on site, cool swimming pool and service which tries to guess what you need before you even will think about it !||Food is another story here. All meals are done at shared table with all guests, which gives opportunity to meet fantastic people. Breakfast with freshly baked type of croissants, lunch in a BBQ veranda ( be careful ! there are five rounds of servings !) and fancy dinner in a room next to the library.||We spent there 3 days and this was an excellent decision. Many thanks to all staff members, especially to Gabriela, Lucia. This was also great to have a dinner with a General Manager Guilerme who convinced us to drink Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza instead an too obvious option of Malbec.||We will also miss Samba ! A beautiful, friendly Golden Retriever who greeted us, was with us all the time.
