Where to Eat in Lisbon
Este Oeste

Google
The Este Oeste is a restaurant located within the Centro Cultural de Belém in Lisbon, offering a unique fusion of Italian and Japanese cuisines. We came here hoping to catch the view of the Tagus River, unfortunately we had to settle for indoor seats at the bar. Since it's fusion, we ordered the tagliatelle pasta and sushi platter. The pasta was good just of the right texture and generous bolgonese sauce all round, while the sushi platter was pretty ordinary and the rice not that great.

Came here for a quick bite before a concert. The food was delicious! The staff was attentive and friendly.

A beautifully decorated restaurant in an extremely good location deserves tastier food and better service. The young waitress asked us three times what we ordered so she wouldn’t forget, but even though we asked for cold water, we got lukewarm water—despite it being barely 37°C outside. The pizza was decent, the focaccia was cold, the buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes was nothing special (tasteless), and the burger as well ( tasted like it was reheated). We hope sushi is their specialty. We’ll have to check again tomorrow because the view is perfect. Just a comment or question: I don’t understand why restaurants in Portugal often serve chips instead of more typical forms of potatoes like fries, mashed, or roasted?

I really enjoyed my meal here along with a glass of Sauvignon. The prices are very reasonable compared to other spots nearby, especially considering the lovely view and friendly service. The menu is extensive, which makes it a great choice whether you’re coming with a larger group (kids included) or dining solo like I did.

Nice place into the Arts building, enough space, plenty of choices in the menu. Interesting restaurant to repeat and try different dishes, nice for sharing.

This is a great restaurant for anyone who enjoys both Italian and Japanese food. It’s perfect if one person prefers Italian and the other Japanese — everyone is happy. We really enjoyed both the starters and the main courses. I especially loved the Linguini and the Golden Gunkan. Everything was well prepared and full of flavor. The waiter was very professional and polite, and the atmosphere was relaxed and nice. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and a place we would gladly return to.

Restaurant have great view. We order two pasta dishes bolognese and truffle. It looks great, however taste was okay. I would rate 6/10. Tiramisu was good 👍 Coffee I would prefare to go for coffee shop unless you are really desperate for it. No alternative milk aviable. Order was made fast . Great that you can see menu online with pictures.

I recommend the pizza — it’s always tasty and just right. As for the ravioli, they weren’t bad, but a bit too firm, almost al dente. The filling was a bit unusual, but the sauce was very delicious and made up for the firmness and odd filling.

Yelp
This restaurant is located right outside of the museum. Giving it Three stars for A-OK. FOOD was good. ** pizza had a great thin crust. topping of mushroom was tasty ** seafood pasta, it was standard SERVICE was friendly, just slow. SEATING by the cafe area wasn't that comfortable. They have a beautiful dining area in the back, but goes to those who made reservations first. A little unfair, did see some people later who didn't have reservation get to sit in the back.

Yelp
The food was good, the view from the veranda was excellent and the weather was awesome. The service I have to say was mediocre at best. As others have mentioned it took forever to get a server and then it took forever to get our food and final bill. Otherwise it was ok.

Yelp
Great meal, even better service. Long few days of ok food, and then we chance upon this place. At 1st we thought Italian and sushi was weird combo. It was wonderful! We had multiple sushi items, pesto pizza and terry Ali rolls. The chefs were wonderful, so was the host/Managaer. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Light thin crust pizza and decent Japanese- the theme here is east meets west. While not revelatory, the food is competent and the service is good. The nice patio and reasonable drinks make it a safe choice.

Yelp
Good food (both Italian and sushis), trendy place pleasant both inside and outside (large terrace) but...... poor service for the price and 1.5Hr wait for a burrata...... Really!?

Yelp
Visited by local "Berardo family wanna-be's" and not too welcoming for any outsiders, this really nice space and terrace, with mediocre and pretentious food complements well the hostess' limited communication skills and bad attitude. An easily avoidable place given the very good , real options around the area. Stay away unless you want a quick coffee in the lobby

Yelp
Located inside CCB, the landmark cultural center of Lisbon in Belém, Este Oeste Café was not what one should expect - not at all. Beautiful view, but awful service as we waited more than 20 minutes to order drinks and food. There's not enough staff to cover every table. Food takes too long to arrive, it is very expensive for what you ask for and not really super tasty. Also, when you ask for napkins they don't show up. This is supposed to be a place for turists, but Portuguese are stopping by as well. We won't be back.

Yelp
When my husband and I happened upon this restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised at the appearance, cleanliness, the many choices on the menu and that the staff understood English. It was beautiful sitting outside. We ordered a bottle of wine and had something excellent to start with. We left Lisbon and travelled to Spain, France and had to come back to fly home out of Lisbon, and we went back because we enjoyed it so much. One of the waitresse Vera was excellent and we formed a bond.
