Esterillos Beach

Beautiful, quiet beach with soft sand, plenty of shaded parking, and hardly any crowds. A peaceful spot recommended by locals and totally worth the visit.

We stopped for a quick swim on our way to Quepos. Clean nice beach with beautiful waves. Also saw lots of birds , especially lots Scarlet Makaws 👌. Lots of locals and some small bars as well.

😄 wow !! Beautiful, loooong and smooth beach. Enjoy natural pools on the west end, near the mermaid. Smooth waves, very clean beach. Plenty of locals, not too many vendors ... a must to choose from!

I love this beach. I used to surf here a lot and it's always been a favorite. Huge, clean beach with soft golden sand and is not packed full of terrible resorts or condominium complexes.

Long stretch of beach, some with people, some more isolated. Natural beach, no frills, life guard, restaurants are close by. Mermaid statue is cool too check out, in the ocean.

We rented a VRBO on the beach for a week. It was a great location and there were few people. The beach is not a 'lay-around' in the sand beach. The surf was constant, not overly rough - body surfing, surfing type of beach. There is a grassy ledge above the beach sand for sitting and lounging. A lot of wild-life around, morning walks on the beach.

simply phenomenal, Quiet and spatious, the perfect combination for recharging at the beach. Just beware of the people offering complimentary passes to Hotel Costa Pacífica. We yielded and ended up wasting two hours in an unpleasant tour of the hotel that ended with us being rudely scorned by a pushy sales person because we refused to buy one of their long-term plans. It was a stain on an otherwise idyllic beach day.
