Estiatorio Platanos

Definitely the best restaurant in Assos, probably on the whole island. We ate there every night. Super friendly, always smiling staff. Traditional Greek menu, and with lots of vegetarian options. The veg briam was so good I had it every time. All the other dishes we had were delicious as well.

Fantastic food at a lovely family run business. I really don't understand the negative reviews. I went here on multiple occasions and the food was excellent every time. The crispy suckling pig and the lamb with lemon and yogurt were sensational. The place gets very busy so a little patience should be shown to these lovely people. Highly recommended.

Everything good! The owner was very friendly, explained the dishes very well. The portions were very generous. All the food tasted amazing. Start with the bruschetta of Feta! Full Greek vibe. Must go 🫶

Loads of vegan options on the menu, that all sound really tasty. We were visiting in October so not all of the options were available, but there was plenty. I had the stuffed vegetables which had a delicious flavour. The only flaw was that they were served very luke warm, I think though this was an error and not intentional. I was with a big group, so that was probably the cause. Still the taste was amazing. And I really should have had the courage to ask for it to be warmed up.

Honestly this was some of the best food we had while in Greece. Really the food was amazing. The service was really great as well. The staff were so passionate about the food and gave us great suggestions for what we felt like. Food came out pretty quick and not slow at all. For the price you are getting an amazing Greek dinning experience.

Incredible taverna with amazing authentic Greek food! We came back here for three nights in asos. The kid goat was amazing, and the owners and staff were very kind, explaining the menu and offering recommendations. Hot, house made pita bread and aubergine dip also a great recommendation!

Nice food at this restaurant with good service. Centre of town. Decent prices. We had a saganaki cheese entree and lamb kleftiko and grilled chicken with lemon and garlic for main. Both were tasty but not amazing

The Bruscetta, three slices of bread (one is missing in the photo) with cheese and tomato are very delicious. I rate it a 9/10. We also had the eggplan ragout is a very tasty but also oily dish. 8/10 because the potatoes were too salty. The chickpeas are amazing, 9/10. We did not wait long. Prices are not low. The service was very friendly.
