Estrela de Mundaú

This quiet pousada was spectacular. With the beach in front and country atmosphere at the pousada it was a great place to visit. Margarida as well as everyone who attended us were awesome and personable. Breakfast was wonderful. We loved our stay! Will visit again.

Simply paradise! We were welcomed by each employee as if family. The views were spectacular inside and outside of the pousada. Beautiful countryside atmosphere in back and the beach in front. Breakfast was fabulous. We will be returning for sure with the family.

Fantastic getaway. Such a wonderful atmosphere. Everyone there was helpful and treated us like family. The property and surrounding area was absolutely beautiful and tranquil. A must visit again.

We started off our trip through Brazil in Mundau and enjoyed our time there immensely! The owner and the staff made us feel welcome the minute we set foot in the beautiful house. The rooms were equipped with everything we needed and the garden + pool were very idyllic and had a nice jungle feeling to them (for us Europeans). The food was heavenly - the breakfast was always prepared lovingly and provided lush fruits and typical brazilian dishes in abundance. The meals we had for lunch and dinner could not have been any better - we still miss them! Whenever we felt like it we had the perfect activity planned thanks to the owner who went out of her way to make sure that we could have the perfect brazilian experience and could enjoy our trip to the fullest. We really enjoyed our time at Estrela de Mundau and can recommend it without any but's and if's.

I loved our stay here! As a gay couple, finding friendly pousadas in Brazil is not always easy but we had a wonderful experience at Estrela de Mundau. Everything was perfect - the rooms, while rustic, are clean and comfortable and some of them have amazing ocean views. The food was absolutely delicious, probably the best in town. This is undoubtedly the best place to stay while in Mundau.

They're coming several times a year!||All managed by Michelle a very nice lady from Austria. ||Thank you for hosting us. We will come next august again

We were looking to get away from the noisy Brazilian city life for a few days . Estrela de Mundau is centraly located in this quiet pictoresque village. Michelle and her wonderful staff made us feel at home. All was in good working order. The breakfast was served with local fresh fruit and freindly service!

I spent New Year in Mundau, and chose to stay at Estrela de Mundau. I don't usually stay in such large hotels when traveling (that said, it's far from a large hotel) but everywhere else was booked out when I arrived. It ended up being a real blessing.||||The German owner was lovely, spoke good English and enthusiastically helped me with my Portuguese. She was pro-active in making sure that I got to experience everything I wanted to in the surrounding area - she is obviously very fond of it and knows all the relevant information for arranging trips. The rest of the staff, too, went out of their way to make the hotel feel very personal and welcoming, despite it being a very busy time of year.||||Despite not being really cheap (I was there in peak season, after all), the price I ended up paying was very reasonable and I considered it a bargain for the quality and the feel of the place. So much so that even now, 10 months after staying here, I feel compelled to write it a positive review.||||I would absolutely recommend Estrela de Mundau.
