Genuinely, the hidden gem of Lisbon. Worth the climb up from the coast and my word, what an attraction! We had no queue and a very chill inside experience. Explore (and I do mean explore) the exotic meandering paths through the foliage, it's great to spend an hour or so. A really nice bio diversity to look at and enjoy. Particularly enjoyed the banana tree 🍌 Really fairly priced and a fantastic cultural excursion. HUGE recommend✌️

Estufa Fria is a true oasis of tranquility in the heart of Lisbon. A wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the beauty of exotic plants, waterfalls, and cozy paths. The atmosphere is truly peaceful, with everything well-kept and thoughtfully designed down to the last detail. A wonderful place for a leisurely stroll, meditation, or a romantic date. A must-see for anyone who loves nature and wants to see a different, greener side of Lisbon. One of the most pleasant and inspiring places in the city!

Nature, garden, and park lovers will enjoy this spot. It offers about 30–45 minutes of peaceful walking surrounded by greenery and a small artificial lake. Entrance costs less than €4 per person — a very reasonable price for the experience. There’s also a café with a lovely terrace nearby, though it’s not directly accessible through the greenhouse area.

Verry beautiful, if you are traveling to Lisbon or just live here, I would recommend coming here. It’s very beautiful nature in the middle of the city come here and relax and enjoy your day. also, if you are a student or a younger person, you can get tickets for way cheaper. You just need to show your student card confirmation that you are a student and we paid our tickets for five euros the two of us so that’s amazing.

Really nice and super cheap. Cool plants and I saw baby ducks! there are so many rooms and pathways, despite it not being the biggest building in the world you really feel like you can get lost in there. Very thoughtfully and beautifully designed.

If you’re in Lisbon on a Sunday and want a peaceful escape from the city buzz, Estufa Fria is absolutely perfect. Hidden inside Parque Eduardo VII, this lush greenhouse feels like stepping into another world — calm, green, and full of life. 🌴 You’ll walk through tropical plants, waterfalls, and quiet pathways where time slows down. It’s beautifully maintained, not crowded, and filled with natural light filtering through the glass roof — ideal for a relaxed stroll or quiet reflection. 💚 Perfect for: • A slow Sunday morning or afternoon • Nature lovers, photographers, and couples • Escaping the heat or city noise Tip: Grab a coffee nearby afterward and enjoy the view over Avenida da Liberdade — it completes the perfect Sunday in Lisbon.

This is a great area to stroll through while enjoying beautiful flora and fauna. It is located at the far end of Eduardo VII Park. We spent 45 minutes there.

Yelp
First off, the cashier at entrance was the nicest person! Thank you for your kindness on 10/2/25. You are a wonderful example of human kindness. These gardens were beautiful, set in a magically tranquil spot. The paths went on & on. We all felt wonderful in here!

Yelp
Lovely botanical gardens within a MASSIVE greenhouse. So many different type of plants and flowers. Really nice to walk around after being in the city for a while. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Estufa Fria ("Cold Greenhouse") is a wonderful oasis in bustling Lisbon!!! Who'd've known this place was smack-dab in Parque Eduardo VII??? Not for this visitor, that's for sure! Perhaps this part of the park is not quite as well-traversed, or perhaps because it was relatively early (before noon), but it was such a pleasure to immerse myself into this verdant cornucopia of flora without hoards of tourists and/or school excursions! :D Once we got past the bah-humbug ticket agent (who grunted 7-euros to me, then pointed to the self-serve ticket dispenser), all the chaos of the outside seemed to slam-shut, and we were transported into another world. I'm presuming it's called a "cold greenhouse" due to the fact that it is not a sealed enclosure, but simply covered to let the weather elements come through. That said, it wasn't cold at all during our late-December visit. It's layout is calming and lazily meandering. I wasn't aware there were such tropical trees and plants here in Portugal--a lot of the same kind of flora you'd see in South Florida, for example. Estufa Fria doesn't look very large from the outside; however, inside is expansive! There's wonderful little nooks-and-crannies, and grottos, and water-features, and sculptures, dotted throughout. There's even a section devoted to cacti and such drier-climed plants. And, too, there was a rooster and hen doing their thing scratching away for bugs and such; no doubt a good life's in-store for them. Immediately outside of the greenhouse, is an amorphous lake (with island and fanciful sculpture) that's a hangout for water fowl and such. And on dry land were several peacocks and peahens. Both flora and fauna all seemed to be having a good life in Parque Eduardo...! :D Estufa Fria is simply a wonderful place to get lost....

Yelp
I thought this place was fantastic. It's like this less-touristed, lush, Lost World that is sort of hidden in/under Eduardo VII park in Lisbon. We spent about an hour and a half there and it felt, not to sound too corny, kind of magical. Maybe I was expecting the place to be a disappointment so when I actually got there it had a head start. It's a great place to go to get you away from the overly crowded Chiado area.

Yelp
Terrific evening with a group. Loved the gardens and walking through them to get to the restaurant. Food was acceptable and drinks OK Ambiance was worth it and the outdoor open area made it even better

Yelp
For 3,1E, I thought this was a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. I'm certainly biased as I have a deep and abiding obsession for plants and green things! The garden is quite large, much larger than I realized as I approached. There are three distinct sections which each offer something lovely. It took me about two hours to walk through the entire thing, but I did stop to inspect many plants and also took a lot of photos. For a fast walker, it might take less time. Overall, the entire atmosphere is incredibly relaxing; there are areas of dripping water throughout that provide such a lovely background sound. I could have stayed here even longer if I didn't have other plans. Near here, there's also a great view of the city from a hill--Miradouro Park Eduardo VII.

Yelp
Gorgeous greenhouse! Definitely worth a detour to get away from all the tourists in Lisbon for an hour or so. The greenhouse is huge and has tons of seating for anyone who like to read in a peaceful place surrounded with nature. We went on a Saturday and crossed paths with 3 or 4 local families, no other tourists. There's a big pond outside the greenhouse filled with ducks, black swans, turtles and even a beautiful peacock! 3 euro entry fee (discounts for seniors and children as well)

Yelp
What a great botanical garden!! This place makes it feel like an exploration or hike. I begged and dragged my kid in and he loved it because he explored in a safe and fun environment. I loved how upon entering you are presented with so many places and it all felt so natural. very little construction or screens. There was a cactus room, there were peacocks, roosters, and many elevations created with rocks as steps that meandered throughout the huge space. I love NYBG but after coming here I can see how it could be transformed into an even more naturalistic place to be enjoyed by young explorers. I love that it created a safe environment to love plants, flowers, nature and even little caves! I loved breathing in the fresh air and the feel of the filtered sun coming in. It was a 3.20 euro charge per adult. It was just before entering the Childrens playground which is how we stumbled upon this place. It was not on our itinerary, (not that we had one!)

Yelp
There are no words for how spectacular this place is, but here's a pro tip: free admission on Sundays. CR

Yelp
Estufa fria is like a greenhouse... but in the reverse principle... you make it fresh. Lots of plants everywhere, little caves with benches, and statues and pounds. lovely place to stroll in if you like uncommon nature.
