Awesome. Started coming here in the 80’s, purchased multiple surfboards and skateboards and wetsuits over the years. Now back into skating and got skate gear for my kids several months ago. Other surf shops have come and gone but ET remains. Senior staff is friendly and helpful as always.

E.T. Surf Shop in Hermosa Beach is hands down the best skate and surf shop in the South Bay. I've been shopping here for years and purchased my very first skateboard at E.T.—the staff was incredibly helpful, super friendly, and very knowledgeable. If you're a first-time skater/ surfer they will help you. If you're just getting started, skip the prebuilt boards and go to E.T. for a custom skateboard. I also bought my daughter's first surfboard here, and the crew gave her all the right tips and encouragement to get started with confidence. They genuinely care about helping people, whether you’re a beginner or experienced. They’ll even beat or match prices. This place is the original Hermosa Beach skate and surf shop, and still the best! They don't have a huge women's clothing selection but the guys selection is great!

Have been to maybe 100 surf shops all over the country. ET remains to be my favorite. Great staff, awesome selection of boards and unique surf hats/apparel that you can't find anywhere

Cool, authentic place with a huge selection for surf gear. Widest selection I've seen for women's wetsuits. Staff was helpful and knowledgable and we left with the fins my bf needed. Overall- great spot to checkout.

We called 5 stores to check the wet suit available we wanted. ET SURFBOARD was the only store in LA with a huge rangeof wet suit, with all the size available and the team was very professional to recommend us the best one we needed based on what we were looking for. WOW !! A big thank you to your team !

A true skate and surf shop. Went in on June 4th with my daughter so she could pick out her 1st new skate board. Everyone was nice and asked her questions to make sure she got the right board for her. They built it from the ground up. She was happy and so was I Thanks a lot ET Team.

This place is about as good as it gets for a local shop. Great selection of boards and wetsuits and pretty much everything else a surfer could want. Staff is super helpful every time I am in. Talking to myself here, but also sharing, make an effort to shop at more local stores and not online. These stores, ET for sure, deserve our business.

My favorite surf shop! It's been a while since I came by but I needed more surf wax and knew ET was the way to go. The staff at ET is really friendly, helpful, and positive. They are not your douchey commercialized surf shop. They also are very responsive on the phone if you have any questions. Even years back, I had some questions regarding their wetsuits and surfboards and they really take the time to help me out in-person and over the phone. ET is well-known among surfers and is trustworthy. Prices are fair and competitive. It is super rare and unheard of to discount wetsuits/ have sales for wetsuits but they do here at ET! They have a huge selection of wetsuits and gear here. I always leave here happy and excited to surf.

Planning on picking up a pair of oniell surf booties but I must warn you this place is dangerous ! You will want to buy everything once entering the store. Crazy selection of surf , skate , clothing equipment and attire . They even sell e-bikes ! Reese was the one who helped me and was super chill . I love the mom and pop indie vibe of this place. I also love that they have 3 parking lots !!!! Check them out . Will definitely be back .

Absolut staying power, it's an original, it's been here as the history of sports have evolved. It's the epicenter! It should be considered a national landmark. I've shopped here me whole life. This is where I got my first skateboard, it's where I got my kid his first skateboard. Whenever I'm in the hood I stop and support. The staff has knowledge they don't short on weak product. You get what you pay for.

Initially, I wrote a bad review about a surf shop. Since then, I have stopped by multiple times and still, I am greeted with respect and with people who truly know what they are talking about. Initially, I disagreed with a fin box I purchased, but since that interaction, Andrew along with Dan has helped me resolve this issue. It's rare to find surf shops that don't feel like a corporation, and that's why ET has become my go-to spot for all things surf-related. Highly recommend! Just for the heads-up, all sales are final.

Best surf shop in South Bay........or LA area for that matter. Guys that work here are awesome. They are a true landmark of the community and need to be supported this way. Their own brand is great with tons of cool designs and nostalgic items from the old days.

The workers here are very knowledgeable, helpful, and nice. I came here hoping to fix a gaping whole where my leash plug in was for my surfboard. One of the workers, Dan, was able to find a leash plug that was a perfect fit and helped me pick a leash. He was very patient in explaining to me how to put the leash in and gave me a lot of advice. FYI, they also sell snow gear and skate gear too!!

Been coming here for decades since a kid in the 70's. Now my kids come here with their kids. Amazing, knowledgeable and real deal staff. They live it! Best products and prices. Great repairs and assemblies of surfboards and skateboards. Awesome selection and expertise. Legendary!

I always bring my skis and board to ET Surf for tuning. They do a great job at a fair price. The customer service is excellent.

My family has taken turns wearing this sweatshirt for 34 years. I bought this sweatshirt for my son when he was about 12 years old. When he outgrew it, I wore it for many years. When his daughter turned 12, I gave it to her. It is so soft and still looks really good. A big shout out for making quality shirts that last.

Today, I surprised my daughter for her birthday by bringing her to h this local skate store. The decision of coming here was based from the Yelp reviewers . We were not disappointed! Talk about excellent service coming from Sonny and the rest of the crew. Our daughter was a beginner. Sonny helped my daughter patiently put together a skate that is best for her needs. He did not push anything for her to decide, rather give her different options to choose from during her skate assembly. Some pointers and tips helped her too. My son had a great time shopping for pants as well. They have various other outdoor services such as surfing, roller blades, and bike. This is the best place to be. 5 minutes away from Hermosa Beach . They've been helping the skate community and other needs since 1972. Ample parking for everyone. 3-2-2021

ET Surf is hands down the best surf shop in the South Bay. Having grown up here, many trips have been made over the years for clothes, boards, shoes, etc. I have kept coming back not only for the huge selection of surf/skate/snow gear and clothes, but more than anything the service. All of the staff is extremely helpful and there is just a very positive vibe to their interactions and they are authentically nice people. I was in store yesterday for some snow gear to get ready for a Big Bear trip. I believe it was Dan who helped me out. He helped me through the whole process as I picked out goggles, helmet, and snowboard pants. Trying on many different pairs of the goggles. I got home and realized the goggles were not right, came back and Dan patiently went through the process of helping me with more goggle try ons. Im sure it was annoying to have to process an exchange and open up more pairs to try. Dan was super helpful and patient throughout. Thank you ET!

Love this place. Always find great deals on awesome stuff. The other day, I went to 2 other shops before this one, I didn't find what I needed so I figured it was worth an extra 20 minute drive from where I was to this store and again, I was not disappointed. Came away with everything I wanted for a great deal. All the staff were super cool as well. Thank you ET!

This location rocks, true skate, surf, and snow store for people who appreciate these sports. The staff is all world, they got my daughter set up with her first true skate deck to compliment her off the rack Penny Board. We actually built around a skate deck and trucks that she was gifted. We got great assistance and advice from Braden/Bradon (BJA) who got us set-up and ready to roll. We got new wheels and bearings which work great for her skill level. This location also has some sweet beach attire, just a really cool shop with kick-back employees, my favorite surf store in the South Bay.

Awesome people, HUGE selection! Looking for a board that is sold out everywhere? ET likely has several in stock. I had been looking for the Firewire Seaside in 6'0" for weeks until someone told me to check out ET Surf. I called to confirm they had that board in stock and not only did they have that board, they had duplicates of every size and multiple colors / constructions. They also had full size runs of all of the other brands most popular boards too. I would be remiss if I didn't also mention their great selection of clothing, skateboards, snowboarding / skiing gear, and electric bikes. Don't sleep on this place.

Seriously the best surf shop in all SoCal. Authentic, genuine surfers helping other surfers out. Great consultations when it comes to buying a new board- great/friendly/helpful staff. If they don't have a wetsuit or board in my particular size, they'll rush-order it. Also really appreciate the events they host- love when they project movies in the parking lot. 10/10 surf shop- staple of Hermosa beach and South Bay surf culture. Keep it up, ET

I been coming here for over 3 decades! My favorite surf shop of all times. After all these years their customer service is still the best Huge selection of surfboards and gear. Huge inventory of surfboards and fins.

Love this place - ET Surf (and I don't even surf or skate)! My kid wanted a new skateboard and was directed to Zumiez in the mall. Nope, I shop local small business whenever possible and ET Surf got the nod. We dropped in after a killer workout at our local 9Round Hermosa just down the street and "Pops" asked if we needed help. After a few moments of showing us decks, my kid chose one and magic began to happen. Not only did Pops gather the goods, but he assembled the skateboard with pro-precision, skill and without taking all day. Lots of great gear, cool staff and fair prices. Selection & Service - excellent. Like I said, "Love this place - ET Surf." 5 stars Skate And Destroy.

Brought my board in to get re-leashed. I was helped by Chase who helped me pick out a new one and even let me bring my sandy board inside and Installed the new leash himself, teaching me a thing or two while he did it. In addition he gave me good advice about what made sense for my board. Greatly appreciated the welcoming environment, the efficient and effective service, and the local vibes. ‍

This place had literally everything a kid needs to keep busy and active. We were in town and my son waS looking to get a new skateboard setup. The staff was friendly and helpful with all the questions we had. We ended up going with a decent setup that he was happy with. If skateboarding isn't your thing, no worries...they have surfing, snowboarding, boogie boards, and even roller skates. Best local spot I've been to in a while !

I have been coming here for years and have finally gotten around to writing a review. First of all, despite being primarily a surf shop, E.T surf also has snowboards, roller skates, and skateboards along with gear associated with all of those sports. So if you're looking for any of those things, drop in to E.T. One of the things I love about E.T is that they're family owned and they really take the time to know the pulse of the community. Case in point is that they recently started stocking Impala roller skates, so if you're looking for some roller skates I haven't seen them anywhere else in the area. They also now have e-bikes too. The store is two stories and laid out really thoughtfully. It doesn't have the generic corporate feel that all of the mainstream corporate stores have. I love even just walking around and browsing without anything in mind. If you appreciate surf shops you'll love walking around here. The thing that really sets E.T apart from all the other surf shops though is that as a family owned store, the service here is second to none. Any time you come in here all of the staff will be not just friendly but will go above and beyond to help you out. What actually prompted me to finally write a review for here is that I bought a Carver skateboard here and was having some problems with the trucks. They have skate shop area at the front with all sorts of tools/nuts/bolts etc for skateboard. The guy not only helped me out with the Carver, but I also brought in another board (that I didn't buy at ET) I was having problems with and he helped me out with that too. Of course I can't write this review without talking about wetsuits. Wetsuits are a big pain in the butt to put on and take off and when you're not in the water they get HOT. E.T is the only place I've ever been to that has air conditioned changing rooms specifically for trying on wetsuits. If you're looking for a wetsuit this is the place to go. They also have a great selection to choose from. Lastly, E.T prices cannot be beat. They pride themselves on having the lowest prices of anywhere and seriously, even online you won't find a better deal. I got my Carver for 200 bucks and the exact same model is $220 online. Oh yea, the E.T merch is all super cool. I highly recommend checking out the hats and shirts, they have really cool designs. Support local!

I went to Jack's Surf shop in mid January 2023 to exchange some Christmas gifts and I was greeted with a big smile by Steven he was the best, he helped me do my exchange and also Marcus was very helpful between the 2 of them I was in shopping heaven! I really wanted this shop to be my go-to for snowboard tuning. Unfortunately, the last time I got a full tune, they decided to use black PTEX instead of clear to fill some gashes. The bottom of my board is lime green so instead of using clear PTEX and having the board return to looking new, I have black streaks all over the bottom and it looks like crap. If you have the option to use clear or black- best go with clear on a non-black board. One of the employees told me it gives it character which pissed me off even more. Hire people who know what they're doing!!!

The staff at ET never disappoint! Next generation was ready for her first board...and they got her in the perfect deck and accessories of her choice in about 10 mins! Helpful, knowledgeable, courteous, and fast. What more could you ask for!?

These guys are the absolute best. I'm so stoked they survived the pandemic because the South Bay would not be the same without them. Everyone at ET is super helpful and nice. Definitely has a small business family vibe and everyone is super passionate about surf, skate and snow sports.

Called in asking for help on my squeaky Yow surfskate. The said to bring it on over to look at. They were able to diagnose the problem and fix it. Shout out to Sonny for being patient and helpful!

Staffs are super knowledgeable, friendly, and will go the extra mile to help you out. They don't pressure you into buying anything, place is chill and cool. Tons of surfboard to choose from. I picked up Lost crowd killer and super stoked. I like to come here and give them business because of the staff. Keep up the great work!!!

ET is the place that you want to go to buy skateboards, surfboards, snowboards, or anything relating to those. Daniel the manager is constantly sought out for his expertise, guys like Kyle, Cade, tucker, Will, Tommy, Trevor, etc. are always around to offer help without acting like pushy salesman like some other shops. Since I've started surfing, I've bought and sold boards here, spent countless hours in the shop and they have so many boards, it's a joy to go look at them and even just talk to the guys about the different prospective boards I'd like to buy next. Lastly, and what I believe to be most important, is the customer service. Daniel and these guys are literally THE MODEL for what customer service looks like. Paired with their huge selection and motivation to get their hands on whatever the customer wants, it just makes ET the premier shop for any boarding sport! If you're far from the shop, trust me when I say the drive is worth it. Check it out!

Love this place! Decades ago when I was a crazed in love surfer I enjoyed just checking things out in the store(poor student). Now a mother, it's so awesome to come in with my son for all things skateboarding. Merchandise is quality and abundant. Staff are professional, knowledgeable, super welcoming, and energetic. Choose wisely! I choose you ET!!

These guys have to be the nicest crew and so damn helpful for an old guy looking to have fun with his girls. They set me up with this sweeeet ride and hooked up my wife and 3 girls with some new wheels. We slayed the hills by our house tonight. Thank you for the memories!

I just went in because I was getting my car washed next door and found an amazing pair of shorts hybrid amazing color fit perfectly normaly price $100 but I paid $30 I love them so much I wore them out ,all the guys were very nice that work here i love getting good deals makes shopping funner, and I like the shop great location for the beach parking is good look out jacks surfboards e.t is here lol

Been coming here since I was a wee lad and was stoked to finally bring my 8 year old nephew to get properly laced up with his first skate board. Much love to the crew for being patient and building out his dream board. Couldn't recommend any place more.

I used to be loyal to Surf Concepts, but now I have to find another local shop to give my business to. ET Surf has super friendly staff, and they are always attentive and helpful when I walk in. I think the only thing that would make this place better is posting pics of their boards, even the used ones, on their website. Rider Shack does it. I know it's a lot of extra work, but it would keep customers updated who are looking for good deals. Any-who, I have no complaints. The guys who work here are hawt.

We walked in with some general skateboard questions and walked away with two new boards. The guys that work here know their stuff. I found it easy to talk to them and the attitude was laid back and pleasant. I appreciated that they gave me the knowledge I needed and let me decide if I wanted to purchase anything. No one was pushy, which was great! I will be coming back for our boarding needs in the future. Highly recommended!

Can't say enough good things about this place. Gear is great, sick board selection, and more importantly trustworthy service. Any time I'm about to get a new board I try to give ET my business because the employees are what make this store. I've even been recommended not to buy a board from there a couple times because it's not what I need. Truly helping me dial in that next addition to the quiver. Compare that with the hundreds of other surf shops in SoCal that will do anything to close a board purchase as soon as you glance at the board rack. Keep it up boys!

This is the best surf shop in LA County. Their pricing is honest, the sales guys are helpful, and they actually do go out of their way to help if there's a problem or you need some form of assistance. The words "customer service" aren't just a phrase there. I wish the shop was closer, but I won't spend money elsewhere, since they've earned my loyalty many times.

This was my first experience at ET Surf shop, will definitely not be my last. Everyone at the shop was super friendly and helpful. I am new to surfing and had a couple stupid newbie questions and Tucker walked me through it all. Thanks, I am customer for life.
