Ethnographic Museum of Leticia

I probably spent the most incredible experience of my life.. I don’t even know how to describe it, the place is just magic, and the whole familiy will welcome you as part of their family. They have a whole lot of activities to do, and they are really flexible of what you need or what you want to do. You are gonna live a immersive experience surrounded by wonderful people, and this IN the jungle. I’m never gonna forget this time spent with this family. Send you a lot of love, Maxime.

Free entry. Brilliant and beautiful with great grounds. Highly recommended before a tour to the Amazon so you’ll have additional knowledge to build upon. Excellent dual language signs. There’s a video room. artefacts and external journey boards. It’s also a library building with a children’s library too, enjoyed it as an educator.

This small museum is well maintained and well-worth a quick stop to check it out, learn a little and get a nice coffee from the concession stand. It is close to Leticia's main square.

Very interesting museum!

If you are in Leticia, reserve some of your time to visit this place and learn about the communities of the region, their customs, and traditions. Although it is small, it is worth spending some time there. Outside, in the garden, there is an exhibition that shows the history of the Amazon, development, and everything derived from its discovery.

This museum is highly recommended before you start traveling through the area. It has a good exhibition in the garden, with explanations in both english and Spanish.
