This was a fantastic find. We travelled by train to Oxford and it was perfect for us. Not right in the centre of Oxford but only a 20 minute walk from the station, a 5 minute walk from the Head of the River and a 10 minute walk from the Westgate. The hotel is in a beautiful neighbourhood and really quiet. The room was huge, as was the bed. Everything was spotless and the staff were great. The breakfast was delicious and very generous. As a vegetarian I sometimes struggle to find a decent breakfast but I had lots of choice. We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and would highly recommend this hotel.

Very bad Ethos Hotel Oxford, I am writing to share some feedback regarding my recent stay at your property. First of all, I would like to acknowledge the advantages of your hotel — it is well located and offers a spacious environment, which we appreciated as a family. However, I regret to inform you that our overall experience was affected by several issues related to cleanliness and maintenance. We noticed that the accommodation had a strong presence of humidity, with visible mold on the bathroom and kitchen floors. Some areas, such as underneath the beds and sofa, appeared not to have been cleaned for a long time, and there were cobwebs on the lamps. These conditions made the stay particularly uncomfortable, especially as we were traveling with a baby and two young children. In addition, the access to the property was not very convenient for families, and we also experienced problems with the hot water supply, which was intermittent throughout our stay. I believe that the hotel has great potential given its location and space, but the issues described significantly impacted our visit. I hope this feedback can help improve the experience for future guests. Also the breakfast is a trick, it says up to 11 ñ, we arrived at 10:40 and they said it’s empty. Also have a menu with some prices (up to 2:00pm) and the attendance girl said it’s a flat rate even for kids under 8yo The feedback after this words was like: “thank you we don’t care, maybe we would do better in your future stance”

We stayed 2 nights at Ethos and got two interconnected room as a family of 4. We originally booked the apartment, but the hotel called to let me know that this was undergoing some refurbishment and would we be ok with the interconnected rooms. Of course this was fine and in fact, I suspect we ended up with an upgrade as the rooms were beautiful. We had our dog with us and staff were really kind about everything. The area is beautiful, very chilled out yet really close walking distance from the centre of Oxford, some lovely pubs and cafes and the green belt. Breakfast was included and really nice, the rooms also had a very comprehensive selection of tea and coffee, fridges and even a microwave oven. I would definitely stay at Ethos again and recommend it for a family visiting the city. Thanks so much, Ethos Hotel, you made our stay special.

Overall a good hotel, and fairly good value. We had the bigger rooms and there was good amount of room for a small family. The cafe is just okay, the service was good, but I would recommend instead walking a little around Oxford for variety of food and drink options. Parking available when booked.

The Ethos hotel is about little less than one mile from the main spots to see in Oxford. I came to enjoy that short walk as I explored for the day and then came back to rest. The staff are lovely, the cafe food is delicious and it is open until 11 pm for food and libations. A few minor glitches, my key card wouldn’t work on the second day of my stay (but I am finding this in many hotels lately), and there is no lift. Lots of hot water, lovely thick (and warm) towels and very comfy beds. Highly recommend and plan to return next year.

Very friendly and helpful service. Room was a great size, bed, sofa desk, large bathroom and possibility to cook I'd needed. Easy walk into town centre.

Great little hotel a little off the main road in a residential area which was nice. Small but very comfortable room with plenty of amenities. The ethos cafe across the street had really lovely stuff and great breakfast options which can be included with your stay.
