Etna Urban Winery

We had an amazing Sicilian lunch and wine tasting at Etna Urban Winery. The experience wasn’t just about food and wine, it also took us back in history, with fascinating stories about the winery, the region, and its traditions. The wines were excellent, each with unique flavors and a story of its own, and the food was fresh, authentic, and perfectly paired. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. It was more than just a tasting, it was a journey through Sicilian flavors and heritage. We purchased a bottle of the delicious Etna Rosè, which is not sold in stores, only at the Winery, because their concept is quality over quantity. Highly recommended!

A gem of a find 😍 Very Interesting tour of the vineyard with its history and culture over the years. A newly replanted vineyard which had been there since 1790. Many original features of the press and barrels. The food pairing was delicious. Much more than a tapas! Wines all delicious. Wonderful experience at a great price.

This is worth the uber from Catania! We absolutely loved our tasting. Our tasting included an introduction and history from Nicola the director. We thoroughly enjoyed each wine and the food we were served. We did a self guided tour of the winery which was perfect and included signage that was informative and added to our experience. We bought a bottle as well. Highly recommend this family owned business.

Such a great experience learning the history of the vineyard and how a new generation revitalized the work of their ancestors. Each glass of wine during the tasting continued to get better and better and felt like each sip was getting stronger. I bought a bottle of their rose which was very sweet and refreshing for a hot summers day.

This was a very worthwhile addition to our trip. The gardens are lovely and provided a nice area to sit and relax. The food was fabulous and the staff were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their wines as as well as the local area and other providers. Combining the wine tasting with dinner was a great idea and executed really well. Well, worth the trip to the Etna Urban winery and would definitely recommend it to others.

We had a wonderful visit at Etna Urban Winery this evening. The wine and food pairings were delicious! However it was the tour provided by Emanuele that was the highlight! He is knowledgeable, passionate and entertaining! There was not one question that he could not answer. His enthusiasm for his heritage and the history of Etna is inspiring. We highly recommend the Sunset Tour at Etna Urban Winery.

We had the best time at urban winery! We booked a shuttle through the website which picked us up and dropped us off from a very convenient location. The experience began with a guided tour from the sommelier, as well as an introduction from one of the 8 cousin owners, who walked us through the various buildings, as well as the history of the winery and the evolving landscape of Catania, how this has resulted in the winery becoming an urban establishment. The food was brilliant, in fact some of the best we’ve had in Sicily and the wine was, as expected, divine! I will definitely return if I’m ever in Catania again.
