Eugaria Country House was a great choice for our 3 night stay in the Sintra area, far nicer than staying in the town of Sintra itself which is very touristy. The house is in a pretty setting not far from the town of Colares. You can use it as a place to relax or a base to explore the extensive area. (Having a car is advisable).||||Monserrate which is beautiful, is within easy reach of the guesthouse. We also visited Convent of the Capuchos, which was well worthwhile.||||We had the Superior Queen Room which opens onto a shared patio with a very nice view. The room was tastefully decorated, each piece of furniture and item carefully chosen. It was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was adequate but simple. ||||Breakfast was quite good, could have been more interesting, however, the dinner we arranged to have on the Friday night we arrived was a real treat. Luis and Ana put themselves out to provide a never-ending meal with one tasty course after another paired with excellent wine served in the dining room (where breakfast is also served), which is elegant in an understated way.||||Ana and Luis were very nice welcoming hosts who also helped us with restaurant suggestions. No hesitation in recommending a stay at Eugaria.

My friend and I spent two nights at this place as part of our road trip through Portugal. The place exceeded our expectations! It was easy to get to by car fra Lisbon airport (30mins). Parking was easy. The place was just beautiful! Overlooking wineyards and mountains, you felt like you were so many miles from the rest of the world. So peaceful. The view was honestly the best I have ever experienced at any accommodation. Breakfast was great too. Will definitely recommend, and I hope to come back sometime.

Beautifully located with sweeping views of the valley below, family owned and operated with optional dinners in the evening from their own organic farm on property. Expansive breakfast with homemade breads and pastries, boiled eggs, fresh fruit and varieties of cereals, grains etc. Our room was huge by European standards, and opened out onto a patio that overlooked the valley. The owners are both very pleasant and accommodating. If we ever return to Sintra we will be returning to this wonderful property. It is located a bit outside downtown Sintra, but there are taxis and Uber available. There are no car rental agencies in Sintra, but Touris-Car is available one town away.

We had the best time in this cute, cozy and beautiful b&b! if you‘re looking for a calm, rural place with a nice view, close to the historic sintra then this should be your choice! Nice and friendly hosts and great breakfast every morning served with jazz or classical music. Can really recommend this place as you get good feeling as soon as you enter the country house! very personal and authentic!

Beautiful location overlooking the valley, got to witnes some breathtaking sunsets from the grounds. ||Our room opened to the entrance courtyard, it was fairly large, confortable and clean with a large bathroom, unfortunatly no AC and we were in Portugal during their heat wave, mid 90s everyday even got up to 106 F one day.||Breakfast was fantastic, coffee, juices, cereals, fresh fruits, hard boiled eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, pastries, breads, etc. etc. To much food for me (I'm not a mornig eater). ||It's centrally located to Penna Palace, Castelo dos Mouros, Monserrate. Unfortunaly I didn't get to see any of it, everything was closed due to the fires. Maybe next time.

Eugaria country house cannot be faulted. Our room, with en suite, was quite charming and opened out onto a large patio area with wonderful views.||It is owned by Anna and Luis, a lovely couple, who could not have been more helpful. Their cooking was so superb that we dined 'at home' for four evenings. ||It is an ideal location for visiting the palaces and gardens of Sintra - of which there are quite a few!||We loved it all and plan to return for our 50th anniversary. Fingers crossed!

When my partner and I stayed at Eugaria for the first time in 2017, we immediately fell in love with the place. We got married in Sintra the following summer and had the privilege of staying at Eugaria together with some of our family, and we can now say that we simply made the best possible choice.||At this wonderful country house, not only can you enjoy a unique setting and atmosphere, but you are in the best hands. The hosts know how to look after you with regard to any particular preference you might have, and at the same time you always have the feeling you can put your feet up, relax, and feel comfortable and at home.||It's an incredibly peaceful and relaxing environment with fantastic views and beautiful, cosy rooms. ||Also, anyone who goes there should not miss the chance to be spoilt by the hosts homemade cooking for which they use their own organic products accompanied by local wines: they put on an incredible spread of fantastic food.||||We know that we will return here many times in the future. We have travelled widely, and Eugaria Country House is up there with our very favourite places to stay.||||Christian+Sanja

Beautiful view on hills and the Atlantic Ocean. Very calm neighborhood, kind hosts :) The breakfast was very good. It's close to Monserrate and Regaleira palace. We’ve got a free room upgrade :)
