Do not let the 3.8 stars mislead you. Our experience was five stars from the moment we checked in until the moment we left. As a travel advisor, I will not hesitate to send clients to this hotel. ||I plan trips for others and in doing so, fail to plan my own trips. However, Maujoreen at the front desk, was able to find us a tour quickly. She also provided great suggestions for restaurants, dress codes, and the best way to get around the city. We spent 24 hours in Toledo and I am already looking forward to returning!

We loved this hotel. The lobby and bar area are beautiful. Our room was surprisingly spacious given that it’s a historic building in the city center. Everything is with in walking distance (just plan for extra time to get lost walking :)). We loved Toledo and were so glad we spent a night there. The water pressure in the shower was also surprisingly great. The front desk and bartender were super friendly.

We’ve stayed in several Autograph Collection hotels and this was, by far, the most beautiful. The designer who brought designed this space in the historic former palace did an excellent job of bringing Eugenia to life! You could almost feel her presence here. The breakfast was exquisite. The bar was beautiful. We loved it here and plan to stay again when we return to Toledo

We spent 3 nights in this wonderful hotel situated in the old town of Toledo. There is nothing I can complain about. Lovely room, comfortable bed and furnishings, fluffy towels, heated towel rails - 5 star all the way.|Breakfast was fabulous every morning, as were drinks in the lounge. My favourite drink was their signature cocktail - I think I had 3 of them in total over our stay.|Staff extremely. helpful and professional|Location - you couldn't ask for better less then a 3 minute walk to the cathedral|My gluten free requirements were fully catered for. |The room was very quiet and good block out curtains.|I would unreservedly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning one day to enjoy Toledo again.

The hotel overall has many qualities worthy of its 5-star rating - attentive staff (apart from one less pleasant encounter at reception), delicious cocktails, and a super fresh breakfast with wonderful homemade jam. However, a couple of things kept our experience from being truly five stars. When we arrived, we noticed several spider webs in the room. One might be understandable, but finding multiple gave the impression that cleaning wasn't quite up to 5-star standards. In addition, when I asked about parking, the receptionist first told me there was none available at all. Only when I pointed out that 5-star hotels generally have parking did she change her story, saying there were limited spaces that must be booked in advance. The interaction felt dismissive, as if she just wanted to move us along, which was disappointing compared to the warmth of the rest of the staff That being said, the positives are undeniable - the atmosphere, the quality of the food and drinks, and the professionalism of most of the team made our stay enjoyable. With just a bit more attention to consistency in service and room upkeep, this hotel would easily deserve the full five stars.

Decent in most ways. Decent room -- though the little balcony was locked and ergo useless. Decent bed. No blankets on the bed just a sheet on top. (There was something in the closet we later discovered.). ||But the WiFi was terrible. Slow and constantly failing. Made two hours of work take about double that. ||I'd look elsewhere. Cute little hilly town but this hotel in a kind of inaccessible location

Our experience at Hotel Eugenia de Montijo was very disappointing.| • The location is difficult to maneuver by car and, surprisingly, the hotel offers no valet service. Parking nearby is almost impossible – the closest park was full and the hotel had no arrangements for guests.| • There is no luggage service, which makes arrival very inconvenient.| • The rooms are extremely small, with barely enough space to open a suitcase. Beds in the twin room were very narrow and uncomfortable.| • Guests are required to pay at check-in, which felt unusual for a property that claims to be high-standard.| • Breakfast was very poor in quality and variety, and to make matters worse, you must book a time slot just to sit down and eat.||Overall, this was a bad experience. The hotel did not meet expectations on any front. We will not be staying here again and cannot recommend it.

I had a great stay overall, with a few minor details that could be improved. ||Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I valued the upgrade offered for status. The property itself is charming, a small hotel located in the heart of the old town, which is full of rich history and character.||||The bed and linens were very comfortable, and the duvet was soft and cozy, ensuring an excellent night's sleep. ||||Breakfast was enjoyable, though the dining area is quite small, so it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance. The breakfast is a mix of items brought to your table and a main that you order from the menu. The food was delicious, though the bread was dry. Additionally, the breakfast service, felt a cold. ||||The location of the hotel is excellent, situated in a lovely area of the old town. I took a cab from the train station, as driving in the narrow streets of the old town would have been difficult.
