Eureka!

This was a last minute find and we LOVED it! Delicious and incredibly interesting burgers! Loved the cauliflower appetizer. Plus the flight of beers allowed us to try multiple ones! Great selection of brews too. MUST try!

Burgers were good and juicy. Fries were amazing as well! Fries were not too salty and not too hot, just at right temperature. Nachos eh. Just plain. Its suppose to be an appetizer but it actually came after the burgers lol Overall servers are friendly too.

Really enjoyed my goat cheese and fig jam burger. Very flavorful! The side salad hit the spot as well. Fun cocktails as well.

Fun place! Food is good quality but overpriced and you don't get much... Great atmosphere and location.

Food was excellent. Ordered the fish tacos and the October special Scary Fries. The tacos were flavourful and had the right balance between ingredients. The fries were hot; definitely not for the faint of mouth. If you can handle some heat, I would recommend the fries. The rest of the restaurant, however left a bit to be desired. Specifically the men's bathroom had trash on the floor, the only urinal was broken and one of the flush buttons on the toilet didn't work. And, fortunately I didn't need any, there was no toilet paper.

Our daughter found this restaurant three years ago while we were shopping for wedding dresses. Absolutely loved everything about it, the burgers, cocktails, appetizers, everything was yummy. Visited again today on our way home to Orange County from Paso Robles. Shout out to Katie (hostess) for her friendly personality and for accommodating us. Bartender waited on us at a table and super friendly as well 🙌 Eureka, we are going to try you in Huntington Beach now too.

Very nice place, very good burgers with quality ingredients. Big choice of local craft beers and cocktails. Just a little disappointment: air conditioning was too cold for us. Anyway, great time at Eureka! Our waiter Jerrod was very nice and polite.

Went early in the afternoon on a Friday. We were seated quickly by a young man who seemed he didn't want to be working that day. Before our food came, we saw the same young man that seated us, cleaning tables with dirty towel and bucket, then leaving the dirty towel on top of the table before removing it. Our server was nice, and the food was tasty. Lastly, they could have had the place warmer, it seemed cooler inside than outside, and outside, it was in the 60's at best. With all that said, we all would go back, as the food was prepared well, and presented nicely.

We chose to go to Eureka as it had been recommended by another guest at our hotel. It is located on a corner in Downtown SLO and has windows that look out on the two sides of the street. The dining room was large with plenty of spacing between tables. It felt very comfortable to come here and have a relaxed meal. We were here during their Happy Hour and they had some nice selections as meal options. I wanted a salad so I ordered the Southwestern Garden Salad with a protein add of chicken. The salad was so delicious, I probably ate more than I needed because it was so good. The chicken was hot and tender and all the greens and many toppings came together so well. My friend ordered the Burger on the Happy Hour menu and said it was delicious! He ordered the onion rings as a side and after we had a taste of this deliciousness, we decided to order a 2nd side to share between the two of us. The servers were super friendly, the dinners were delicious so that we could just relax a bit from a hectic week. I wish I had found this place earlier in my visit, as I would have returned to try more items on their menu (and possibly a dessert) and to just enjoy an evening out.

Solid choice for lunch or dinner. We popped in early afternoon on a Wednesday and were seated almost right away. The hostess and server were friendly and attentive. The tomato soup and grilled cheese was delicious - the soup was really thick and good for dipping. The southwest salad was filling even without protein. Highly recommend.

We ate lunch at the Eureka! in SLO. Everything about the meal was great, from start to finish. We were seated near the window and the street view was lively... Lots of people watching, which is always fun. Hubs wanted a beer, but wasn't sure of which type he would like. Our server asked him a few questions and offered a recommendation for the Andersonville Boont Amber. He ordered it and loved it! Great recommendation! I ordered a diet Coke and the server also made sure my glass was always full... Refill after refill. Thank you! After considering the menu, I ordered the American and hubs ordered the wagyu Burger. Both were delivered as ordered and were delicious. Our server returned to check on us, made sure we had everything we needed, and asked if we would like to order dessert. As soon as we were done with our meal, our plates were cleared and the check was brought in an unhurried fashion, but also quickly. We appreciated that. We were in and out in under an hour and never felt rushed. We would return to Eureka! again. The server tipped us off to join the rewards club and we would get 15% off our bill the next time we came in. Which we will do next time we are in slo.

Stopped in for hopefully a delicious smash burger meal on Wednesday. Happy people cool spot lots of seating open and airy w lots of choices from food to drink! amazing burgers and those macaroni balls are . Ouiii sone good food.

We needed a place to watch our WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces play basketball while we were in SLO. We walked downtown and walked right into this great place. We decided to sit at the bar so we could have a good seat for the game. The bartender was so nice and made sure all the TV's had our game on. This restaurant is a nice size and has a great location on the corner of Churro Street. Patio seating allows for one to people watch and enjoy the fresh air. A great menu including shareable plates, burgers, handhelds, knife and fork, salads, desserts and sides. They also have a HH during the week. I enjoyed a nice, cold beer and my daughter had a mimosa. My husband was leaving us after the game to drive home so he just had a coke. I decided to order the Fish and Chips and so we could share it. The Fish and Chips were served with smashed potatoes and the mahi mahi was just so fresh. My daughter went with the All World Breakfast Burrito minus the bacon since she is a vegetarian. We both really enjoyed our meals. Parking is a challenge and on the street or you can drive to locate public parking in a lot. We walk to downtown as much as possible to avoid the hassle. The vibe here is so relaxed and we had good service. I will definitely return here next time I am here in SLO as I saw some other interesting food I would like to try on the menu.

Stumbled on this place when we visited the Mission church. Street parking or public parking nearby. Lovely place with 2nd floor seating. Fast service and delicious food! Staff are very friendly.

Amazing personel and very good food! Our kids loved it! Also, if you want a nice beer, that's a cool place to be in.

service was 5/5. Quick seating, attentive service and our server was amazing. Very friendly and gave some suggestions. parmesan fries-way too salty. The fries themselves were cooked properly and the sauce was good but there was an insane amount salt 2/5 Macaroni balls- Fried well and overall tasted fine. These could've used the salt from the fries to make them really good. Still, as is and with the sauce they were good 3.5/5 28 dry aged bone marrow burger- so i took the suggestion and added bacon and removed the tomato. Really juicy and cooked perfectly. The bacon was a nice addition but this burger definitely needs acid to cut through the richness. Some pickles or even pickled jalapenos would make this even better. Still really good and the bone marrow butter added a lot of flavor! 4/5 wild child cocktail- just delicious. Refreshing and the habanero salt was really nice Overall this was a very pleasant experience. The food was hit or miss but I would definitely come back and try some other items on the menu.

Having walked past here several times, the venue definitely has curb appeal located at the corner of Churro Street in downtown SLO, but from a quick glance I thought it was just another local bar. To my amazement, they offer more than your casual pub food and happy hour drinks. The place is fairly large with two floors, wooden tables and benches and has an upscale, rustic atmosphere within a bar setting. I'm sure it's expensive to keep a place this large heated so it was chilly in there, but clean and inviting. . A couple of us ordered the "Wild Child" cocktail. Vodka based with watermelon, a mint garnish and a habañero salt rim, I didn't have to specify to make it sweeter than usual because it was perfect as is. We all got something different which was great for sharing and seeing all there is on their menu. . For an appetizer, I ordered the Broccolini and for my entree I got the Ahi Poke Stack. The greens were grilled with a slight char and had a buttery garlic flavoring. They crunched softly when I took a bite. The Ahi was a succulent delight, with medium chunks of rare tuna, donned with chiles, perfectly stacked above black rice and avocado in a black sesame ginger dressing that was sharp in flavor with citrus notes. Other dishes we ordered included, the Crispy Veggie Beet Burger, The Fresno Fig with Honey Cinnamon Sweet Potato Fries, the Napa Chicken Sandwich, The Caesar Salad with Chicken & Roasted Veggie Tacos. . With over 23 locations in California alone, this mid, south and west coast chain is a stand out amongst American style bars.

We had time to kill after flying in early, this place popped up nearby so we dropped in. We parked on a the street a short walk away - there is mostly street parking in the area, but walking about is quite pleasant in the area. We were greeted upon entry with a warm welcome and sat immediately at a lovely window table. I have to admit we were not all that hungry, but the menu just screams to be eaten! I love a good off the beaten track burger, and the Fresno fig was exactly what I didn't know I wanted. The burger itself was actually seasoned, I find often times many places won't season the burger Patty when it's cooked. This one was just mighty tasty, the addition of the fig marmalade and some Uy gooey, goat cheese, and arugula, was enough to make me order this. But now add bacon... everything is better with bacon! The bun was just perfect, little toasted on the inside and just toothsome enough to add to the overall bite. Shishito peppers, if you've never had them you are missing out. They are generally a mild pepper with really good flavor, but once in a while if you're lucky, you get that spicy one! Their peppers are coated and crushed Doritos, why have I never thought of this? They were hands-down, my favorite appetizer I think I've had in memory. The coding comes out so crisp, so crunchy and the pepper inside is just that perfect tender. We had these with the scallion dip, and that was not a letdown. I could've eaten that dip with a spoon, and I may have had a spoonful or three. If you are ever there, this is one of the must haves. And if the time is right, have it with a Moscow Mule, they make it with homemade ginger syrup. And it is a tasty tasty libation.

Service is good but AHI is the worst! Drink are good! Atmosphere is great! Order the wings

Very good experience here. Came with a large group of 10 and the server handled everything very well with attentiveness. I've also been here on a date and had the same experience. The seared salmon is a solid entree and filling enough that you don't need an appetizer to eat healthy and feel full. The crispy Brussels sprouts are not crispy, but they're very good and the orange sauce really slaps. Lots of meat options for the carnivores -- they're definitely famous for their burgers, which are highly customizable from avocado, to bacon, to cheeses, mushrooms, and more. They're very efficient with take out as well! Parking can be tricky, but aim for a front spot after 6 PM in the day-loading zone and you're set! Thank me later!

Love the service here ! If you are looking to host a special occasion - Eureka is your spot! They treated our party of 18 like gold the other evening as we celebrated my daughter's 19th birthday ! The food was fabulous - from the appetizer round to the main course to the birthday vibes cake & ice cream! Truly great service which made me feel so relaxed knowing they were taking such good care of us! We will go back again and again ! Thank you to the management & all the servers! Well done ! Service was excellent! We came in on a slow Wed Summer week day and the staff was very accommodating. Our server was bubbly and attentive. We requested to be seated upstairs where we enjoyed our date night privately. We ordered the brussel sprouts for a starter; our server recommended we add goat cheese and bacon so we did ... it was delicious! We also had the Eureka burger and Chicken sandwich, both good. Drinks were good, especially the Espresso Martini.

The food was INCREDIBLE, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was awesome (takeout) it was absolutely the best salmon I've ever put in my mouth. Incredible. Hubby had Bison burger which was swiftly devoured with a cute little grease mustache. lol definitely will give this place another try. Salmon again please!?! lol

Perfectly fine. Eureka is a perfectly fine spot to stop for lunch for dinner in downtown SLO. The food was good, the employees were friendly enough, and its a nice looking corner location with plenty to look at. The only thing really working against Eureka is that it's located in an area with a lot of great unique food locations. This wouldn't be at the top of my list, when in the area. It's not the most exciting for night out with friends or a date night, but it's the perfect spot to go with a larger group or if you have kids.

I love Eureka's Fresno Fig burger and used to order it all the time but was SO sad to see their burger menu changed to a rotating basis so I couldn't order it the last time I went. The two items we got (pulled pork sandwich and fish & chips) were decent but I just wanted my burger! The restaurant is dimly lit with a nice little upstairs seating area.

Great experience! Atmosphere was very comfortable and welcoming. The vibe was casual but could definitely work for a nicer occasion. Service was very good and our waitress was super nice. I ordered the chicken Cesar salad and it was amazing. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and it was great too. The fries were amazing as well. Price was standard for most places these days. I wasn't aware this was a chain (lol) but I'm glad because there's one not too far from where I actually live (I was in SLO for a trip). Definitely worth checking out

Eureka is a place I would never imagine myself to eat at, mostly because my boyfriend can't eat much of the food on the menu. BUT we gave it a shot the day before his birthday and he enjoyed it! It was our first stop downtown and we got the truffle fries and the mac and cheese bites + 2 pints of beer. Our server even adviced us to download the app in order to get the truffle fries for free! We also came back during Valentine's and was able to snag a place at the bar and got a chocolate mousse with vanilla ice cream :) very enjoyable place!

Great looking restaurant both inside and out. Service was great and the Bathrooms were clean. The food was good, I think the wings were highlight of the entire meal. The fries were okay, plain and nothing special. Both the burger and sandwich were good. Overall it was a good experience.

Well the food is mid at best. Very expensive. Good customer service. Waiter was very nice and attentive to what we needed at the table. The place has great ambiance however, with a big bar and drinks are solid but again, VERY expensive. A family of four or friends are expected to pay well over 200 dollars. Wouldnt try again but maybe as a meet up spot before adventuring downtown

I love this place! I always make a reservation here and they are very accommodating to where I want to sit or if I'm running a few minutes late. I always enjoy the fish and chips or the cowboy burger but my must haves are always the shareable wings and the fries. From other things I've been here, I wouldn't recommend getting the fish tacos or the short ribs. I would come here during hoppy hours since the prices are a bit cheaper for both food and drinks! I would also recommend being apart of their membership program since it's free, you get rewards point for free things, and you can make online reservations.

While the outside seems very unsuspecting, as soon as you walk inside you are met with a very modern looking interior. While the place was a little busy when we first arrived, we were seated right away and it wasn't too loud or roudy. The service was excellent, as our waiter was very nice and accommodating. He came back to check on us multiple times and took our orders quickly. We ordered the fish and chips, spicy chicken sandwich, Seared Ahi Salad turned wrap (you can turn any salad into a wrap for an extra dollar), and shared an order of the brussel sprouts. Everything came out super yummy, and everyone cleaned our plates. While a little bit on the pricy side, you get good quality food that looks and tastes great. One note- when I received the wrap order, they did leave it as just a plain salad and I had to let them know about the mistake. While the food runner seemed a little irritated, claiming that the ticket didn't specify it was a wrap (despite everyone at our table agreeing I ordered the salad as such), they quickly corrected the mistake within less than a minute, and we were quickly back to enjoying our meal.

My burger patty was undercooked and raw. Management was no help and did not care and offered me zero compensation. Staff was also rude and they left out three of the ingredients I paid EXTRA for. Bottom line, DO NOT go here

Cute trendy spot. Friendly staff. Tasty food, reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere. Recommend reservation as there can be a wait. We put name in and walked around town a bit until table was ready.

The restaurant is a cool spot to eat with friends or family. Our waiter was very nice and friendly, good service overall. The food is good. The Cowboy hamburger is delicious. The meat was cooked nicely and very juicy. I got my without the bourbon bbq sauce and I'm not a fan but the burger was still awesome.

(The presentation was better than the photo, we just forgot to take a photo before halving the burgers) I will sing the praises of the Fresno Fig until I die! And their Mac and cheese balls are SO GOOD, definitely give it a go. Although it was a very busy night for Eureka, we were sat quickly and the food was out faster than expected. We were frequently checked on by waitstaff, and despite the number of people, the noise levels were not bad at all. Cute decor inside (there's little fake candles at every table) and good food make it a really good date night spot. My partner and I usually order two burgers and split both because it's hard to decide! Only criticism is that it's a tad pricey ($18 for burger + fries), but 1) the burgers are above average so it's worth a few extra bucks and 2) it's the right atmosphere and quality for special nights out.

Standing ovation! What an amazing burger tonight! The "Cowboy" burger had the best smoked bacon ever, along with a buttery soft brioche bun. Our server, 'Ricardo' was attentive and made sure everything was perfect, and boy was it delicious. We had Mac n cheese balls ( spicy) with a ranch dill dipping sauce that was brilliant. If d/l their app you can get their signature truffle fries on the house! Such a great meal, trust when I say you'll truly enjoy a meal from Eureka! The restaurant can get busy so you might want to call ahead and enjoy the seating downstairs. Overall A+

I recently dined at Eureka in San Luis Obispo, and I must say, the fish tacos were excellent, not too spicy. The combination of flavors and freshness made them stand out. Additionally, I enjoyed the Golden Road Spirit Free drink, which was a tasty and refreshing choice. The overall dining experience at Eureka was delightful, and I look forward to returning. Avery, our server was very friendly and attentive, and Chris, the manager, stopped by as well, very nice as well. 100% recommend stopping in for a bite to eat if you're in town.Baja Fish Tacos

Customer service is very good. Our server was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and overall amazing. But the food is honestly not unique or tasty or memorable. We had a large party and I dont think anyone said they had a great meal. I had a salad wrap which was small and I think overpriced.

It's right at the Chorro and the Marsh St. The design inside was casual + classy, I visited on a Saturday afternoon. Employees were all professional and friendly. I ordered the Fresno fig burger with the $3 side upgrade for Mac and cheese balls. The Fresno fig burger was flavorful, it has lot of scents and textures in each bite. It was recommended by the bartender. The Mac and cheese ball was very interesting, the kids are gonna like them a lot, I especially love the ranch here, they made it extra tasty for some reasons. A good experience overall.

This place has gone really downhill I am bummed because I loved their bison burger and salad but now they only have the bison burger one day a week. Half of their favorite burgers are on a rotating menu only offered 1-2 times per week. The fries were cold. Salad was wilted and tomatoes mushy. This is the third try I have given the salad and same way each time. Service is super friendly and felt bad. But I'm just so bummed. I hope they stop this rotating burger menu and use fresher ingredients.

Food was delicious, service was good. We made a reservation but honestly didn't even need it. The brussel sprouts were so delicious, I would come back just for that. The only complaint is the food portions are a bit small. The ambiance is the restaurant is really nice. Nice lighting, music not too loud, good ambiance.

Great ambience, great cocktails, and delicious food too! The servers were helpful and friendly. We ordered brussel sprouts as an appetizer. We ordered the New York steak plate and the chicken sandwich with truffle fries! The sauce on the fries was savory. We even dipped some of the steak in the sauce! Great place and a must visit.

Currently at Eureka with a group of friends and Shelby's service was so lovely I had to pull out Yelp and give her a wonderful review. Just great energy all around and consideration for everyone's needs. Love it! Great service and ambience.

Right on a main drag in downtown SLO Eureka! Offers pub food and micro brews. Brussel sprouts delicious, marrow burger delightful, fish and chips abundant. Definitely a unique place, they have the water fall from Sutters Mill but where do we pan?!

I've often passed by this restaurant and always wanted to get a good look inside. Well I had the opportunity to drop in this late morning and get a good look inside. I met manager Hunter and he gave me a rundown on this restaurant and what was here previously, a real nice pleasure to meet him. I ordered a Napa chicken sandwich with a side of Eureka salad with Lemon vignette for the dressing, always wanted to know what a tart salad tasted like. That bread roll had to be from Edna's Bakery, man that was good bread, the chicken was tender along with that roasted tomato. I was happy to see what this restaurant had to offer, wish I was a drinker because it had a nice bar. I hope to make another visit and spend some time having a drink.

One of our favorite places in SLO. Consistently great food, great service, and fun ambience. My partner and I love their fish and chips with truffle fries, and we usually split one order because it is enough for two. The restaurant is open until midnight on Friday through Sunday, until 11 PM on other nights, so we don't have to go to Denny's For a late night dinner. We almost always eat here when we're going to the downtown cinema in SLO, just half a block away. Lots of parking in the chase bank lot across the street if you come here outside of banking hours.

A favorite for date nights! Their Fresno Fig burger is one of my favorite burgers ever, I highly recommend it. Service is always good, despite it being busy.
