Europa Carnegie

This was definitely an old tart. The fruit was mushy and very discoloured and the filling was dried up to clot. Really gross and disappointing as the ones at the front of the cabinet were fresh. They definitely sell old cakes as this is not the first time I have had something stale or unfresh.

Very disappointed with my purchase today. The cake from Europa was mouldy and definitely not fresh. bought it at 11:45 and had it at 4 and found inside full of MOULD— quite a change from how good their cakes used to be. Quality has really gone downhill lately. I won’t be buying again unless things improve.

The coffee and cakes are particularly noteworthy – I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste. If you’re in Carnegie and looking for a place with dependable food and a cozy atmosphere, Europa Cafe is definitely worth a visit. Just double-check your order if you have specific dietary needs!

Very tempting place! The desserts are lining up on the show window and look so good! I really wanted to buy poppy seeds cake but they rarely make it. Luckily I found poppy seeds cheese cake so bought it. This reminds me of the cake when I had in Poland. It was so good. I wanna try crepes next time!

They’ve got delicious savory and sweet bakeries that you’ enjoy. Been visiting local businesses like Europa Carnegie. They make such amazing Eastern European style cakes and bakeries that you will love. ❤️: Loved all the pastries I bought especially the Poppy Seed Slice and Chocolate Danish. For savories, you mustn’t miss out on the spinach and leek flaky pastry (not sure what it’s called, sorry!) but it was seriously AMAZING 😍. Look at how tempting this Chocolate Babka looks! Those layers and the chocolate inside is just insane. And if you like macadamias, try out their Macadamia Tart. The pastry was perfect and the macadamia was crunchy and sweet. Give them a visit and browse!

I travelled from Mornington Peninsula to buy donuts. Must say they were fresh but the amount of plum jam inside them have decreased to basically nothing. Very disappointing. Not what they use to be.

It took me such a long time to leave a review for the best custom made cakes made to order. 2022 I ordered birthday cake preciously in which was a Tiramisu cake. The chef personally contacted me and we spoke about the cake design and the chef indeed made sure the cake was made to perfection. The cake was delicious! 2023 I ordered a vanilla cake with fresh strawberries and cream. The cake was so delicious and everyone in the party spoke about how yummy the cake was, everyone had second serves, it was a hit! The chef did an amazing job.

Revisited the cafe today. The food, & ambience were amazing. We had Cannoli, toastie & coffee - all things were fresh & tasty. The staff was friendly & welcoming! It has become one of the fav spots to hang & have food. Will be revisiting. Thank you for your service.
