Clean accommodation for relatively little money (39€ p.p. per night in a single room), friendly staff. Would not book again though and cannot recommend for adults. Room had a bunk bed so small, clearly designed for children and teens. You can barely move within the room. Mattress super thin and soft. Noisy, you can hear the traffic through the windows. Many children as it is mainly for families, so noise was expected. Woke up every morning at 6 due to noise and light as there were no proper curtains on the windows. Breakfast: simple and 100% vegan unfriendly as they serve only animal products - no vegan options except for jam and fruits. Not even plant milk. So bring your own stuff if you're vegan. Sadly no possibility to store food in a fridge so... vegans better book a hotel room ;-) phone signal very very bad, luckily Wi-Fi is free. Bathroom was tiny. In general I think the rooms and the entire building is very ugly, design and interior desperately outdated but that's Jugendherberge in Germany. So if you look for a pretty modern posh atmosphere, book a 4 star hotel ;-)
I highly recommend the staff to open windows more often and let fresh air in, as the floors and rooms are a little smelly most of the time...
All in all not comfortable stay. Only recommend if you can't afford a hotel room or if you have rather low standards.
