Had a great stay! All of the staff was very kind and nice to me, very helpful too. The breakfast menu and dinner were delicious, will definitely recommend it to all my friends and family.

All in all a basic youth hostel, but we really enjoyed our stay. We booked two rooms, one with mixed kids and adults and one for an elderly couple (my parents). We did not know that the double rooms are loft beds only. After explaining it is hard for them to climb the bed, they happily helped us and changed the room. Nice selection of board games, nice tables to hang and pass the time, good choice of sweets at the entrance. Breakfast is nice, dinner is not as good. Nice playground and park two minutes walk from the hostel, as well as a supermarket.

Lovely stay, as expected, clean, friendly and gopod meals for a nice price. Perfect as usually, friendly welcome at the reception. Good value! I love DJH.

We stayed here over the Easter days in 2022 and we had a terrific time. The staff is very friendly! There was a program for the children: painting eggs, crafting, an Easter egg hunt, a magician show, camping bread on a stick and games. Given the budget, the food was really good. The region offers a variety of activities for the children. Also being close to the French border, you can go on a one-day trip to France, e.g. Metz.

Nice accommodation for reasonable money. The bunk-beds are small and narrow. Anyone over 1.90 mill have her/his problems. The walls are thin. Meeting rooms are reasonable sized. The food is better the anticipated. The stuff is nice, helpful and prepared. Over all I would recommend for a few days.

I thought I'd booked for August but in fact had booked for February. The hostel were amazing and fitted us in and even organised dinner for us. ||The room was great for the price, clean and very spacious but the duvets looked like they'd seen better days. The shower was warm and powerful. |Buffet breakfast gave lots of choices of food but the only juice available was orange. |Having the lake and park so close was a real bonus for a family whose children had spent all day in a car

Clean accommodation for relatively little money (39€ p.p. per night in a single room), friendly staff. Would not book again though and cannot recommend for adults. Room had a bunk bed so small, clearly designed for children and teens. You can barely move within the room. Mattress super thin and soft. Noisy, you can hear the traffic through the windows. Many children as it is mainly for families, so noise was expected. Woke up every morning at 6 due to noise and light as there were no proper curtains on the windows. Breakfast: simple and 100% vegan unfriendly as they serve only animal products - no vegan options except for jam and fruits. Not even plant milk. So bring your own stuff if you're vegan. Sadly no possibility to store food in a fridge so... vegans better book a hotel room ;-) phone signal very very bad, luckily Wi-Fi is free. Bathroom was tiny. In general I think the rooms and the entire building is very ugly, design and interior desperately outdated but that's Jugendherberge in Germany. So if you look for a pretty modern posh atmosphere, book a 4 star hotel ;-) I highly recommend the staff to open windows more often and let fresh air in, as the floors and rooms are a little smelly most of the time... All in all not comfortable stay. Only recommend if you can't afford a hotel room or if you have rather low standards.

The hostel is an old one but the staff is very friendly. Breakfast is good but not many options for vegetarians during lunch or dinner. WiFi is good but only available in common area. The beer at the bar is also cheap and good. Many people gather in common area at night so it becomes a good place to socialize with others.
