We visited the European Bread Museum in Varnavas yesterday for the third time with our Latvian community, and it was wonderful once again! The team welcomed us with open arms - so kind, polite, and friendly. The kids loved the workshops, and afterwards we enjoyed a fantastic table full of fresh salads, breads, and other homemade goodies.
The museum itself is unique: founded in 2005, it houses more than 3,000 embroidered (decorated) breads from Greece and many other countries, plus agricultural tools, traditional ovens, and displays showing the whole journey from field to table. It’s educational, fun, and full of heart.
Tip: visits are usually by appointment or on their open days (normally once a month). Opening hours are generally 10:00–14:00, closed on Sundays.
A truly special place to visit - warm people, amazing food, and unforgettable bread art!
