14 Best Museums in Barcelona | Condé Nast Traveler

"In-the-know art lovers congregate at Palau Gomis on Saturdays for one of MEAM’s weekly classical or blues concerts amidst the collection—one method, along with theater and sculpture courses, by which MEAM calls itself a "living museum." From unnervingly photorealistic portraits to provocative, multi-layered paintings, the works here are deliberately chosen to stay with you long after you visit, and the curation really succeeds with that." - Gemma Askham

One of the best art collection I saw in last few years. Absolutely amazing. You can't miss it if you love art. Also very beautiful bulding and professional and informative staff. Must visit

Great museum showing amazing realism art inside of a beautiful building. I went at 6 and had the whole museum to myself. Great hidden gem in Barcelona. 30 minutes to an hour experience.

More a private art gallery with an entertainment angle, than a museum. But you can have fun there

A fairly somber modern art museum. we do not regret visiting this at all. However, this type of art was not necessary out type as much. Unexpected Highlights: - some of the most beautiful bathrooms I’ve seen in a museum? - seeing a live painting class going on, that made the museum feel much more alive and connected to modernity.

Wonderful collection of figurative art right down the street from the Picasso Museum. They have everything from photorealism to sculpture to gorgeous more impressionistic paintings. Much less crowded than the bigger museums like the Picasso. Don’t miss this little museum.

The Picasso museum was sold out, so I went to this pleasant surprise. Definitely worthwhile a visit . I liked many pieces more than the masterpieces you see in the “official” museums. Very entertaining.

Awesome! For me, definitely the best out the three museums (Picasso, Moco and MEAM) I visited so far in Barcelona. It features many great sculptures and ultra realistic painting which I adore. The museum is hugely underrated and deserves way more attention. During me visit there were no more than 15 people in the museum. Buying tickets in advance might thus not be necessary.

This place is a gem! My favourite museum in Barcelona so far. If you like realism this is your place. I loved everything in this museum. It’s not so big, I could see everything in aprox 1h15, and it has 3 floors. It also has very clean toilets! The staff is very kind, and before you start, they explain to you what contains in each floor. I went during the week, so it wasn’t crowded at all! I definitely recommend this place!!!
