European Store and Deli

Had their freshly baked bread today and it was wonderful. Very fluffy, great chewy crust, good subtle flavor. The bulk candy was fun to shop from too. Good selection of kvass, which I had never tried before. I went today and already want to go back. ☺️

Good enough, but We need more Ukrainian products, they are better than Russian ones by about 10 billion percent.

An excellent selection of German/Russian/Eastern European products, especially for Alaska. Love the deli meats and selection of canned fish and the variety of teas. Candy selection is impossible to pass by and the homemade breads and goods at the counter will instantly make you hungry. They are definitely worth coming back for! Counter service is nice even if there might be a language barrier for some. They try their hardest to help. This shop is a Valley gem and I hope it stays. It's been my favorite place to go for a little piece of my childhood for years now.

The bakery items were really good. Especially the peroshkie

love the products but the rudeness at the counter lack of customer service destroys my enthusiasm for coming in. How long are you going to talk to the lady who has already purchased and has everything in those disgusting plastic bags (which should be banned) while I stand waiting to be served. Not just a quick exchange, a very long dranwout conversation! A little just a little help with product info would go a long way in forging better relations with customers who aren't fluent in Russian too!

A good selection of Russian and other East European goods. Snacks, candies, sodas, etc.

We love to shop here for unusual foods and treats that can’t be found at the grocery stores. Lots of different chocolates, bulk candies, sausages, teas, pickled vegetables, cookies, canned fish, fresh bread, frozen cakes and pelmini (dumplings), etc. We love the fresh beef and cheese piroshkis, warmed up. The employees are always friendly.

Great food, fresh , great flavors and good value. Loved the beef and cheese baked pastry. Yummy Will be back.

I went in hoping to find Labneh for a recipe. I had never been in before and didn't know what to expect. They had exactly what I was looking for! In and out in just a few minutes.

We moved out to the Valley in 2016 after having lived in Anchorage for a year. We were regulars of the Eastern Euro deli in Anchorage so when I realized they had another store out in Wasilla that's owned by the same family, I was ecstatic!!! I'd say this branch is almost as extensive as the Anchorage branch, and like the one in Anchorage, these guys also offer all the same made-to-order hot food options such as Borscht, Pelmini, and Pieriogies, and Russian sandwiches. You pretty much cannot go wrong here! I really wish the Valley had a better selection of truly authentic ethnic foods in the European, Middle Eastern, and Asian traditions. This deli is a beacon for those of us that are sick of the constant barrage of boring-ass American food! I HIGHLY recommend their pelmini, and pieriogies, both of which come in multiple varieties, which as luck would have it, are conveniently available in their frozen foods section! Also, this EE Deli sells the BEST sour cream I've ever had! Other things worth trying are their breaded meatballs, fresh bread, borscht, shuba, potato salad, and cabbage salad. Additionally, they also have an extensive selection of deli meats, cheeses, fish (herring), candies, jarred goods, and teas. I adore this place. Highest recommendations!

My husband is Russian, when I went to visit his family back east they bought a cake that I never tried. Absolutely loved the cake and had to have it again. THIS STORE HAS THE CAKE and plenty of other great foods!
