This hotel puts that myth that all somewhat reasonable European hotels are tiny and not awesome. This place was modern, super close to the central train station as well as a great subway stop and not too far of a walk to the old city center.
Let's get the cons out of the way. Although the breakfast buffet didn't lack food variety, those options weren't the best quality. I mean, if it's free, have at it, but it wasn't included in our stay and the 12-15 euros is definitely not worth it. The gym was teeny with only one treadmill, one elliptical and 3 sets of weights. I was the only one using it at the time, but if someone else happened to saunter in, it would have been a nightmare. The sauna and indoor pool however looked pretty baller. For those who aren't that much into exploring, there really wasn't much restaurant/bar wise super close. There was one very large and awesome beer garden a few blocks/.5 miles away, but other than that nothing to speak of that I at least noticed.
Now, onto the pros. The internet was lightning fast and free. The free green apples at the front desk were delicious. The bed was super large and very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with great water pressure and a towel warmer. The large flat screen tv was nice, though the only stations I could understand consisted of CNN and the BBC, so I caught up on my world news.
The staff was super professional and knew English well which is super helpful to this non German speaking Fräulein.
Definitely a great stay in Munich if you don't mind not staying in the center city.
