This is a very good hotel for a reasonable price! It is situated at a perfect location, near the San Francisco park and not far from the train station. The historic building is beautiful. Parking in the parking garage under the hotel is very convenient.

This hotel is beautiful and the common areas are suited for meetings, conversations, and coffee/tea. The interior decor of both the rooms and the common areas are early 19th century, and every room has a wide variety of lighting options. The buffet breakfasts are typical Eurostars Hotels buffet breakfasts, which I rate 4 stars. The breakfast service is good. |The beds are firm, which I like, and a bit bouncy which is an interesting choice in mattress selection. Overall the service is good. However, I recommend getting a sroom that does not face the street if at all possible. It seems that all night long there is street noise that will require ear plugs, even in the usually quiet off-season. This has the potential to be very loud in peak season. I would stay here again, but I would ask that the hotel not charge for complimentary bottled waters and also provide waters that are not refilled. Overall a pleasant stay, and I recommend Oviedo in the off-season to avoid the sea of tourists.

Beautiful hotel in a great location but still quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were smiley and helpful, especially Christina in the restaurant. The car park was spacious, with good headroom for our large car. The only minor issues (I know I’m being picky) were the shower over the bath was difficult and not thermostatically controlled and there were no glasses for the minibar. Cant wait to return.

Unbelievable place! We were celebrating a wedding day here. Beautiful hall, cozy restaurant, delicious vine and dishes (especially lamb and scallop soup were perfect). Separate gratitude for Cristina, she is very professional and kind, and warm-hearted. Cristina helped us and supported, and was in touch with us all time! No doubt you this place is a must-have.

Very comfortable, well-located hotel in Oviedo. Common areas are immense and very impressive. Great breakfasts with many selections. Rooms were fine with available electrical outlets and good internet service. Would not hesitate to stay again ifI were in the area.

I read that some of the previous recommendations have not been that good, but for us this was a great hotel. The staff is very helpful and polite, and showed us different places to visit including a good restaurant (which we actually tried). There is a big parking garage with several spots. We knew we had to pay for the parking so we were already aware of that. 23 EUR pr day. Some will say this is expensive, but we would rather have the car parked safely than on the street and far away. The location is very good. Super close to everything. A nice park close by, and all the stores and restaurants within 7 minutes walking. Even a supermarket just on the other side of hotel for easy snacks and supplements. The staff helped us with our luggage to the room. We got an upgrade and got the room with a balcony. A really great room. We had good indoor environment, as we understood the A/C is centrally controlled, so it does work Yes, the hotel is old, but my opinion is that the staff tries to take the best care of it as possible. I also read some said they had bad shower pressure, well in our room the pressure was excellent and very strong! I would say it’s an old but antique hotel, quite unique.

Great location... room was nice, but carpets were stained... very nice staff, however, bar closed at 12.30. Bar food is very limited. The building is beautiful but under stress from the rain.. parking while available is an additional daily cost.

We stayed at Eurostars Hotel de la Reconquista and found it to be a pleasant experience overall. The location is perfect, with parking available and within walking distance of the main shopping street, the historical district, and numerous excellent restaurants.||||The hotel's historical charm is evident, especially in the common areas decorated with period paintings and furnishings, which give you the feeling of stepping back in time as you enjoy a cerveza on the beautiful antique chairs. The hotel is clean, and our room was well-maintained daily.||||However, the rooms could benefit from a refresh. Additionally, the service, particularly at the reception, needs an upgrade to enhance the overall guest experience.

Yelp
Interesting Hotel that we lodged at on our travels through the Pardoers of Spain. The Hotel La Reconquista was a hospice and children's home for over two centuries. The original building dates back to 1752. We happened to be staying at this Hotel when they were having a large business event in the Cloisters with traditional Gallic music. We very much enjoyed our short stay and town of Oviedo.

Yelp
While a stately historic hotel, it did not live up to its reputation or reason to demand the highest prices in town. Poor service started went we arrived after 6pm with a confirmed reservation made a week earlier and they asked us to wait in the exterior lobby until they knew if the room was ready. We waited awhile with not even an offer of water. Once in the room, we discovered a small dark trim overlooking an party canopy with extremely loud live music from the event. There was no desk chair to sit and call for another quieter room. It took us over an hour to finally have a room (which had twin beds, not the queen bed requested). The property needs an overhaul in its decor, furniture and lighting. While once expensively and tastefully designed , the fabric wallpaper in hallways needed cleaning, and seating in 2 rooms were either missing ( no desk chair / the desk chair seat was worn/ broken). The rooms are rather small and dark. However the closets and bathrooms were nicely done and clean. On our first night, the water was shut down in the entire hotel one night for several hours. When we returned from the hotel restaurant at midnight, we found we couldn't wash up, brush our teeth, etc.. Then we found a letter ( in Spanish only), which we had to translate the letter ourselves. No one warned us earlier that evening - when talking to the reception, in the lobby for drinks, or in the restaurant! They only provided one small bottle of water for the 2 of us. We had to call and wait for another bottle. Amenities were fine, nice plush robes but no bottled water provided, no creamer for Nescafé /tea.. the laundry service was fast and same day- even on holiday weekend- but crazy expensive $150. for some small wash items ( no ironing/ dry cleaning needed). The fine dining restaurant looked like a after thought / multi-purpose basement room. Service and food was basic - not reflecting the level of a '4stars' hotel or the prices. Clearly the hotel caters to large functions/ parties and groups. The first room we stayed faced a courtyard of large events with loud live music non-stop. So we asked to move rooms- better but the next day this other courtyard and the lobby had an event- though a much shorter party and not as loud. Very Bad value, worse hotel experience on our 2week trip at over $1000. For the 2 nights w 1 dinner/ 2 breakfasts . We will not return.

Yelp
The photos of the shared spaces in this hotel speak for themselves. It is beautiful, historical and grand. We ordered gin and tonics from The American Bar and drank them in the grand salon with the exquisite carpets, 19th century restored chairs and couches and unique woodwork. There's a reason a movie was filmed here and I would recommend splurging for a room when traveling through to take yourself back to experience old world Spain. The rooms and bathrooms are also clean, but we didn't find the bed to be extremely comfortable. The staff were also helpful, but no overly friendly. Parking is 23€/ night.
