"Named for Count Nándor Zichy and completely rehabilitated in 2009, the hotel's 19th century bones serve it well, while the contemporary furnishings bring up-to-date oomph and highlight the beauty and stylishness of the build. So too is its location in the palace quarter undergoing a renaissance – you won't be far from new cafes, restaurants and nightlife."

Modern conveniences set in the site of a former palace! I found the rooms quite comfortable, quiet, and of a very nice size. The hotel is located on a cute little square with some great restaurants. Hotel is a convenient walk to many of the touristy areas and convenient to the local tram/metro system. Breakfast was great; a nice selection of hot and cold dishes. Would definitely stay here again if I were to travel to Budapest. (A recent review mentions construction. There was no construction in the hotel. It appears the city was doing road work outside the hotel. We heard no noise from the construction. And, in fact, an outside guide [not affiliated with the hotel] expected the road work to be done by late May '24 as the local elections are coming up and residents will want the road done). Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Very nice hotel. Nice staff. Always friendly and helpful. We stayed couple of nights and this was the second time at this hotel. Food is good. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Hotel is in the city centre, everything is close by. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who wants a bit more luxury whilst staying in Budapest.

We had checked in to two rooms and as family. Rooms were premium, clean and great. Place was quiet and relaxing. There was a beautiful place to sit and relax along with free coffee and water. Location was very good and bus stops and tram stops were nearby. Hotel staffs were very polite and courteous. However following were the issues: 1. Although temporary but the roads leading to the hotel were under construction and were not stroller friendly. 2. Room service was not apt as there were not many Hotel staffs 3. There was no bolt in the washrooms and it was very awkward 4. Phone to connect to reception was not working and could not be fixed even after requests.

A really lovely hotel. The staff are so friendly and the hotel is very clean as is the rooms. We had an extremely good stay. The breakfast was perfect, lots of choice and fresh. I would definately stay again. Thank you so much Palazzo Zichy :)

Hotel was very nice, beds comfortable, staff was great. Two things to be aware of - we were planning to use the laundry service and did, but it was not done until right before our checkout time. The form said it would be completed the night before (and yes we handed it over well before the form said we needed to). Not fun wearing dirty clothes in the summer. I also had a knee injury and the hotel did not have ice anywhere on-site. For some reason the bar was closed the whole time. Overall seemed like the hotel was half-open, maybe a staffing issue after experiencing the tourists from cpac.

The interior of this hotel is stunning. Rooms have high ceilings with air conditioning and walk in shower. The staff were very helpful and spoke great English a little way from the main attractions but very cheep to travel via tram or bolt taxi

This was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve had. One day while we were out, someone robbed our room, either using a hotel card or a forged card. Multiple electronics were stolen, along with medicine, grooming items, luggage, and clothes. I reported this to the hotel, but the staff was fairly unhelpful other than calling the police. I made a police report. The next day I encountered the thief inside of the hotel (he entered our hotel room but quickly left when he realized we were in the room). I again reported this to the hotel but they did not know what to do. I encountered him again in the lobby trying to leave and told the hotel, but they still didn’t know what to do. I took pictures of him and ended up chasing him down and retrieved my backpack. Most of my stuff was gone but I was able to recover a few small items. The hotel staff apologized and said this was unacceptable, but did nothing other than moving our rooms and asking me to share the photos of the man. They offered no resolution for what happened. We later discovered the two rooms of our other family members were also ransacked. Again, nothing was done other than moving their rooms. None of our rooms were next to each other and one of the rooms was on a completely different floor, so either this man was targeting us and had access to our room numbers, or he was breaking into everyone’s room. As you can imagine, this was a terrible experience. I wasted over 8 hours total with the police instead of actually seeing Budapest. I would avoid this hotel.

We were sadly disappointed in this property. We booked this hotel in early January. When we arrived by taxi he could not get us to the hotel as the street was torn up from the corner location. It was torn up in all four directions for about 25'. We had to drag our own bags across dirt, plywood and broken bricks. We had to across to corners to reach the hotel. The street had been torn up for a number of weeks. We should have been notified by the hotel about the inconvenience. We should have been told to call the hotel upon our arrival so they could send someone to help with our bags. ||We had been traveling for several days and had laundry we asked to have done. There was a bag provided in the room and we completed the inventory of our items.|The instructions on the bag said to bring items to the desk by 9AM and they would be returned the same day by 6PM. When we went to the front desk we were told the items would not be ready until the third day after six. We were checking out the third day at 11AM.||They did have a lovely" lounge/bar". This was one of the amenities listed on their website. When we arrived we asked what time the bar opened. Neither of the desk clerks were unsure of a time. When we came down later and asked again, we were told it was no longer a bar and did not serve anything other than water and sodas available for purchase. We were disappointed to say the least. While we were there one evening a manager and a maintenance person actually removed the lettering from the wall above the empty bar. ||The only positives for us were the comfortable room and nice breakfast service.. || Unfortunately, our traveling companions found blood stains on their mattress when the pad had slipped to the side.
