Evangeline Beach Resort

Business owner, Ms. Ana is very pleasing and accomodating. Location of their property has a close proximity to the beach, maybe a 2-min walk. When we arrived, the pool is quite dirty. I requested the staff to somewhat remove the leaves and other floating stuffs. They immediately cleaned the pool and we appreciate the effort. However, it was their restaurant that disappointed us the most. It seems that they do not want to take orders. We werent able to order our meryenda bec they told us they will be open at 6pm so they just served us some soda. Note, we were there around 5pm. So we went back to our rooms and took our shower. Water pressure is soo low that we werent able to use the shower. We took a cold bath from the pail and tabo provided. When we went back to the resto around 8pm, we were informed that they are already close. They opened at 6pm and closed at 7pm. So, we needed to transfer to the resto beside them. What a hassle. The resort has a good potential, hope that they will be able to improve on their service. Still worth a 2nd choice.

Worst place to book in Saud Beach, really. Water smells like sulfur, molds at every corner of the room, used towel in the closet... They'll try to hide it all and get your attention by putting paintings on the wall and folding the towels in an origami style but trust me, that's because they don't want you to see how bad is the real deal.

We spent 3k for and overnight stay (2pm to 12noon) of 5pax. Free silog breakfast. Room was nice and spaceous. Wifi was okay. AC is okay. 2 minute walk to the beach. Sand was white and fine. Very nice!

Evangeline Beach Resort is an excellent place to stay in Pagudpud! The resort is right by the beach, giving you a perfect view of the ocean and an amazing sunset experience. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the place has a relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind.

It was a total disaster. They charge 5000 pesos for a room per night and the service is less than 1 star. The room was more or less okay but the bathroom looked horrible without hot and running water. They charge 500 pesos to use the kitchen what is extremly dirty. Pool wasn't available. We reserved 3 nights and we left on the 2nd day.

Expectation vs. reality. They advertised the accommodation as if it’s in front of the beach but it’s not. The restaurant is in front of the beach though but there’s a short walk going there. Our room is on the top floor and it was a struggle going up especially when you have luggages. Our room did not have water supply as well when we checked in. Overall, evangeline was false advertised.

Run down and overpriced. This place does not look like the photos. Staff overworked saw them 7am and at 10pm in the hotel and restaurant. They are lovely and helpful but obviously exhausted!

We went to stay here as a family. The place is old and needs a lot of repairs. We stayed on the first floor. Our room door did not close/lock properly. Water runs very slow and temperature cannot be adjusted so you run a risk of scalding. The ceiling is made of thin wood so noise from people walking upstairs is very loud. My other family member’s room was on the 3rd floor. The water turned off after 7pm. Their AC remote went missing after the attendant turned it on for them. It was an unpleasant experience overall.
