Very nostalgic rooms. The design of the rooms takes me back to the good old times when I was visiting my grandparents' house in the province. The bed was super comfy and the AC was cold. The shower included a heater which was very good. Overall, the room I stayed in was very nice!

The staff at Evangeline Beach Resort were very kind and great to work with. They helped make my mother (82 y/o) very comfortable during our stay, including accommodating her dietary preferences. :) Saud beach is beautiful and Evangeline’s restaurant on the beach offers a great selection of filipino and western dishes with an amazing view & ambiance. The hotel itself offers basic amenities and the a/c works well. We enjoyed 3 nights for a perfectly leisurely stay. Special thanks to Raya and our driver Alvin for taking such great care of us. I would love to visit Saud Beach again and would recommend staying here.

Terrible place to stay, pictures shown on social media and advertisement does not reflect the actual place. Rooms are very small and very old. Bathroom is terrible. Room stinks really bad. Road access to the place is really bad. Evangeline hotel is not waterfront like the way it’s shown on their advertisements. Hotel is 2-3 blocks away from the water. The restaurant is the only place on the water and their service is very poor. It took more than an hour just serve our breakfast. It’s worth the money you pay. You can get a much better place for 3500 pesos per night. I don’t recommend Evangeline Hotel to any friends or relatives. Go check the place before paying any money. PLACE SUCKS & STINKS!

No complimentary breakfast. The staff said it was because our room was on a discount rate but we were not told upon checkin. Staff are hard to find. Shower wasn’t working. Staff attitude in the restaurant was bad. The pool is dirty, too considering almost all rooms were occupied. Door locks are broken too. The entire experience was soooo bad!

The staff at Evangeline Beach Resort were incredibly warm and hospitable. Their genuine friendliness and attentiveness made us feel right at home. They were always ready to assist with our needs, whether it was recommending local attractions or arranging transportation. The accommodations were comfortable and well-appointed, offering a peaceful haven to unwind after a day of exploring. The rooms were clean and spacious, with modern amenities and stunning views of the ocean. Overall, my experience at Evangeline Beach Resort was exceptional. The combination of its idyllic location, friendly staff, and comfortable accommodations made it the perfect destination for a relaxing and memorable getaway. Thank you so much Evangeline Beach Resort. Till our next trip there!

Overall a good experience with the staff being super friendly. The location was right next to the beach which had an amazing view. The restaurant also served some delicious food.

everything is good, the huge letdown is for a big hotel, they don't have any generator for power outages, experiences at least 2 to 3 outages, that's understandable due to the storm, so I guess investing to a generator is a must, most of the nearby hotels have one, why won't you have any?

We actually love the location- although a bit tricky to find but once you familiarize yourself, it’s no biggie. Rooms can be improved, service was okay although sometimes a bit hard to reach an attendant. However, their restaurant was beautifully located. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
This is a little place connected to the Evangeline Beach Resort. Way off the beaten path. Came here during a tour of north Ilocos which included the wind turbines. This restaurant overlooks the white sand beach of Pagudpud. It wasen't busy at all for lunch, we were the only customers when we arrived. 2 other groups showed up when we were almost done. Based on the food alone i wouldve given them 2 stars. We ordered a noodle dish as well as a bananna and mango crepe with a freshly cut coconut juice. The noodle dish was bad. Didnt taste good at all, and the noodles were lacking. There was barely any protein on it. In regards to the crepe, at first they said they had no mango, so it was gonna be a bananna crepe. Then they said they had no bananna and all they had were strawberries. Turns out they meant strawberry jam, there werent even any real strawberries in it!!! The crepe itself was so so. They drizzled some chocalate on top. I would give it 3 stars. The coconut was good. They cut it right there in the establishment which u can watch. It was fresh. Others in the group ordered the halo halo and they said it wasen't as good as the ones in manila. But the reason they get 4 stars is location location location!! You cant beat eating with a view of white sand beaches and crystal clear water. Listening to the constant crashing of the waves. It was magnificent!! I couldve sat there for hours taking in the sites and sounds. There are limited seating areas on the beach which im not sure if you could eat there, but that would've elevated the experience. They also had a dog and a cat running around the tables. Dont know if thats a filipino thing, but was offputting. Also they had just bleached the area so it smelled like cleaner which was also offputting. Its sad that such a beautiful area had such little foot traffic.
