Hearing about this place numerous times but finally getting a chance to test it out firsthand was an absolute treat.
Polish cuisine might not be on the top of a lot of folk's mind to eat but if not or if you've always been interested in trying it, I strongly suggest Evas.
Four of us went out to dinner the other night with each of us getting something a little bit different. The intent of this was to try out a variety of entrées.
Let's start with the red cabbage salad. Very fresh, shredded red cabbage, carrots, red onions, and apples. They mix this with a light dressing and it's super tasty.
The potato pirogi is topped with onions and butter and served with some sauerkraut. Plenty of food here to fill just one person.
We ordered five Golabki's. These are cabbage rolls stuffed with ground beef and rice and topped with their homemade tomato sauce. To me these were the best of all the entrées.
The Bigos (hunters stew) made a strong case for the second best meal. This has kind of a stew type make up with sauerkraut, sweet cabbage, kielbasa, beef, ham, bacon, mushrooms and onion. They cook this in tomato sauce. Unbelievably fantastic tasting.
Finally there was the mushroom croquettes. These are breaded crêpes that are stuffed and mushrooms and onions then folded over and fried. The creamy mushroom sauce provides a fantastic flavor to the croquettes
Inside dining and outside dining are available. I strongly suggest the outside dining. The back area is completely surrounded by fence, trees, and vines completely blocking the surrounding views.
