Savvas and Jenny are wonderful hosts. The 13th century house is located in the central of Rhodes old town but very quiet, just a 10 minutes' walk from the ferry port.
Bright, mediterranean-style rooms and a lobby/breakfast room for shared use. All 6 rooms lead off from here. The roof terrace belongs to a triple room and is therefore private.
Savvas and Jenny are very helpful when it comes to ferry schedules, beach tips or the latest archaeological excavations.
A highlight is the large breakfast table where we were able to eat and chat with interesting travellers from all over the world. Speaking of breakfast, another highlight: it is Rhodian. Delicious, homemade jams and marmalades from Savvas' mum's garden, apricot, peach, fig...even sweet peppers. He gets the delicious sourdough bread fresh from the bakery every day, which is baked especially for the guests. Every day different types of omelettes, pancakes, cheese and cold cuts...
The smell of fresh pancakes caresses you awake while great people are already waiting outside for having breakfast together... Danes, Italians, French, Greeks and Turks. Families, couples, single travellers...
We had a great week, also thanks to the entertaining hospitality of Savvas and Jenny.
