Super friendly and helpful staff. Clean hotel with a great location. Room was spacious and very clean. I had a king room and the bed was amazing. So comfortable , my sleep was great. Nice lotions and shampoos locally sourced. Amazing value , the price can't be beat. This will be my new go to anytime I come here and will look for these hotels elsewhere when I travel. Great experience, exceeded expectations. I wish I remembered the name of the young lady at the desk, she was super friendly and helpful. Don't hesitate book this hotel.

Google
They seemed to be out of room creamers, and I wasn't quite comfy in a room with a corner gym. I am a workout person, but not inside a room. Strange. perhaps it's designed for a different type of guest. Corporate workout?? Staff, however, were nice, but do keep supplies. Coffee machine needed milk, too.

I had never heard of this hotel. From the moment you walk in you feel comfortable in the surroundings. Having a water station available was a nice amenity to offer. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff very pleasant too. I was surprised by the exercise equipment

The room was great the shower was nice, but my part I didn't like was that I had no microwave in the room and for the price I paid for getting in at 2:00 a.m. and having to leave at 11:00 a.m. was not worth it. It did have cable which I liked, although the staff was not friendly especially when checking in. It was a quick trip I'll tell you that I couldn't wait to get in and couldn't wait to get out. A lot of walking not much access to kitchenware. I did not stay long, but the room was okay for a few hours of sleep. But definitely not a $200 night hotel room

Google
I have nothing negative to say about this place! So clean and pretty, the staff was so nice and helpful, and even exercise equipment in the rooms! Did not expect that!! Awesome price and value. Love that they have a restaurant and bar too. The walls are paper thin, but it was very quiet. Would absolutely stay here again.

Google
The rooms have no dressers or storage options for clothes. We were there 3 nights and essentially lived out of the suitcase. There is only 1 chair, a desk chair, but two foot stools which are impractical and uncomfortable to sit on for an adult. The web site advertises “on site dining” but it is NOT really a restaurant. To order hot food for breakfast you have to bend down to an open window that is 3 feet above the floor and get the attention of the “cook”. One piece of toast was $4.25 but that may be in line with local pricing. There are cold items like cereal, yogurt, milk, etc. but you have to scan it yourself and enter your credit card info similar to a grocery store self-checkout. There is one coffee machine that fresh brews coffee by the cup but there were grounds in our coffee and it was not to our liking. In the evening the waiter and cook is the bartender. We ordered a chicken sandwich ($18). The bartender had a conversation with a bar patron about a car purchase before going to the kitchen to cook (microwave?) our chicken sandwich that was served on a very flimsy paper plate with packets of condiments. I just think “dining” is not the right term to be used in the description of amenities.

Google
Very reasonable price for the room. Nice touch with the yoga mat, resistance band and hotel exercise channel. Fitness center had everything I wanted and more and it was accessible 24/7. Food selection was very limited and pricey, but it was acceptable. This was a great find. I hope to be able to stay at other Even Hotels on my next trips.

I was really excited to stay at this IHG hotel because of its wellness focus and dog-friendly policy, both of which I truly appreciated. The in-room workout equipment (although missing some items shown online, like the medicine ball and water bottle and yoga blocks) was a nice touch, and the gym itself was clean, not crowded, and had high-quality machines. That said, the rest of the stay left me feeling frustrated and honestly, a bit taken advantage of. I paid extra for a pet package that was incomplete (missing the travel bowl and dog blanket). One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was the advertised game room with foosball and pool — which didn’t exist at all. That was incredibly disappointing and felt like a bait-and-switch. The mornings were far from restful due to the slamming doors so hard the walls would shake. It happened every day and made it impossible to sleep in or relax. The bathroom layout was also a miss — the sliding glass "door" right next to the bed offered no privacy whatsoever if you're sharing the room. When I brought these issues up, the manager said they’d add 10,000 points to my account. That never happened, but honestly, I don’t plan on staying with IHG again, so “points” wouldn’t have made up for the experience anyway. At the time, I didn’t push back because I didn’t want to argue, but looking back, I feel like I was brushed off and given a hollow offer instead- Hence this review. Overall, this stay did not live up to the promises made online, and I left feeling disappointed. I don't plan on returning.

Yelp
This was our first time staying here at the Even Hotel in Norwalk, CT. Staff was friendly, accommodating and the room was very nice. Roomy, clean and spacious. Our experience was mostly positive with the exception of just a couple of areas that could use some improvements. Lower cover sheet for the bed could use a new cover. Looked pretty beat up (see photo). Door to bathroom needs some lubricant to fully close. Doesn't close fully and this room doesn't have dressers to store your clothes. However overall stay went well and we would definitely stay again.

Yelp
If I could give zero starts I would. This is an unprofessional hotel which canceled my reservation along with several others and never notified the customers. There was a complete lack of communication and I only found out there is no hotel reserved upon hearing from a colleague who was in the same situation. Their manager and customer service had no explanation and could not provide proof they canceled the reservations. Simply stating they are booked out for the night in which I had reserved a room for over a month in advance. This all in less than 24 hours before my stay.

Irka O.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible experience in Norwalk, if I could rate zero,I would. First off, the room key didn't work after we lugged all our stuff up stairs. Then we get settled and the TV doesn't work, had some man in our room with my girlfriend and daughter in pjs for over 20 minutes, he didn't fix we had to move rooms, so had to pack everything and move to a different room. The second rooms phone did not work and couldn't call front desk, then we open the bathroom door that you can see through and doesn't lock because it's on a roller and the fucking thing is broken. When door opens it makes an explosion noise and that's not an exaggeration! Also can't turn the bathroom light on a night because the door is see through and made of glass so not only can you here everything that's going on in the bathroom it lights the whole hotel room up! Also no lock on the door in the bathroom! And to top it all off the heating system sucks we all have clogged noses at 4:30 am while I'm writing this! Waste of money! Stay away! Top it all off housekeeping knocking on all the doors 9am Sunday morning! This place is a joke!

Yelp
Great hotel!! Very impressive!! Surprised they had tension ropes, resistance bands, exercise ball, yoga mat, and so much more. I loved it! Bed was very comfortable. Smart tv offers free exercise instructor. They want you not to skip your workout routine because your staying here. They want you to feel free to continue your routine as if you were at home. It was pretty impressive. I enjoyed it. I would like to turn portion of my bedroom at home to a lite workout area. Bathroom is gorgeous. It's well kept and cleaned. Bed is comfy and it smells good. Feels like a dorm room. Desk chair is modern. Front desk Ladies are super friendly. Liked that bike rentals are available even in the winter. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We stayed at EVEN Hotel on our way up to CT from a straight through road trip from NC. Stamford was too expensive for a one night stay-especially because we were arriving in the area around 1:45am and most checkout times are 11. So I found EVEN on my Hotels app and saw that they are not only affordable, they're also pet friendly without any fees! First impressions were great! There's a little grassy area for dogs to do their business with a dog cleanup station as well. Inside the lobby, the walls are decorated with fake greenery but it's very cute and fresh looking. The concierge was friendly and helpful. He greeted my dog and we had a little chat about dogs while my husband got the bags out of the car. Super chill guy...based on other reviews, maybe we got lucky with who was working for the night? We stayed in room 200, it was tucked away into the corner. Our room was clean and super cute. I didn't read the reviews before our stay so I was surprised when I saw how health-oriented this hotel it. With yoga accessories and a giant core ball, I can definitely see myself wanting to use this if we were staying longer. We didn't turn on the tv so we didn't access their workout videos. Also, our room didn't have the resistance bands but there was the pole for it which is really cool. No big deal for me because I wouldn't be using it during our stay but the next person might. The bathroom was nice but had BASIC sink amenities (small bar of Dove bar soap, a travel sized lotion, tissue box, 1 roll of toilet paper) but the shower had large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash...so no need to panic if you're sharing a room with someone else, there's plenty of shower amenities...and they smell wonderful, too! The shower pressure is AMAZING. Rarely do I find water pressure like the one here at other hotels. I also liked that there was a detachable shower head as well. The regular shower head is tall (well over 6 feet) so I didn't find a need to use the detachable head. The bed was okay, a bit stiff to my liking but softer than most hotel beds. I LOVED the pillows, they were perfect! The room itself had nice amenities as well besides the workout equipment. There was a Keurig (though, only stocked with decaf coffee), refrigerator, work station, and a tall closet with an ironing board and iron inside. I can't complain about our stay much. I was expecting much less. I'd definitely come back here again on another road trip up to CT.

Yelp
We take a lot of trips to the NY area for youth sporting events. Even Hotel in Norwalk is perfect. I've stayed at some other more expensive places in this area only to be disappointed with cleanliness and overall quality especially for the cost. Even Hotel has a fresh boutique vibe that feels a bit European in its model. There are many nice snack options for people on the go, a breakfast bar with made-to-order healthy items, and exercise props in each room. I heard a dog down the hall so pets allowed. The only reason I didn't 5 star Even was it is not meant to substitute a full service luxury accommodation but I WILL stay here again and again! The staff was friendly which I always appreciate especially on the east coast!

Yelp
Looks are deceiving. Infested with bedbugs. Switched rooms 4 times and each room had bedbugs. The rooms are not very clean either. Towels are dirty. My guess, they are probably selling it. A Handful of staff are helpful. Needs better management. STAY AWAY

Yelp
The process: I called the hotel the night before because I knew we would have a late check in (around midnight). I wanted to ensure we didn't need to do anything extra/additional given how late we would be checking in. The first time I called the phone rang and rang but no one picked up. I called about a half hour later and someone did pick up - answered the phone by saying "please hold," and I sat on hold for almost 10 minutes. When I finally did get to speak with someone I was assured they saw my reservation and that I was "all set" with my check in time. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told my original room (1 room, King sized bed) was no longer available and that they only had rooms with a double bed available. This wasn't a huge deal, and we told the person checking us in it was OK. She then asked if the Amex card on file was OK to book for incidentals. I told her I did not use an Amex card because I don't own an Amex card. After some typing on her keyboard she asked that I insert my card for the $100 incidental fee. I understand that many hotels do this, but there was no process explained (ex: that the amount would be refunded, etc). It took about 15 minutes to check in (we were the only people in the lobby at this time). When we finally were given a key and went up to our room, the room had clearly been used and not cleaned - the beds were unmade (sheets off the bed) and it was clear people had stayed in the room and it had not been turned over. We went back downstairs to let the front desk know this. She seemed frustrated as she looked for another room. As she handed us a new room key she stated "now I don't have enough rooms for the number of people checking in tonight" and then apologized for the room. When we got to the 2nd room, it was cleaned and ready for use. The Room: The second room was clean and spacious. It contained exercise equipment (although the space would be a little tight to use it). The bathroom could use a little help - there was peeling paint in the shower and the surface of the shower floor was slippery (like it hadn't been washed). We had a handicap accessible room (it was what we were given, not requested) and the bathroom had a shower only with a seat and very little lip on the floor separating it from the rest of the bathroom floor. I understand the purpose of the shower for accessibly, but the shower floor was small, so when you actually ran the water the floor outside the shower got wet. After taking a shower about half the bathroom floor was wet because the water exceeds the shower space. Mini fridge was off when we got there and never got very cold after turning it on. The elevators were quite shakey and bumpy going up to the 4th floor. Both elevators were similar with this issue. Overall the room was clean, the hotel was quiet enough (typical noise expected from people coming and going from their rooms), and location was it worked for us. The check in process could be improved and I was disappointed that even with the extra measure of calling the night before we still ran into issues.

Ashley S.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY!!!! We checked in, looks nice from the outside and somewhat when you enter in. The front desk lets you know nothing is complementary besides coffee. You are given keys per usual and my family of four headed up. As we entered the elevator it took us up to level two, we entered the halls and I felt the heebie-jeebies as the carpets were completely stained! I'm serious! Absolutely every step we took was stains like animal urine. We entered our room and the stains continued! I want to pause and say the IDEA of this hotel is nice, I am a fitness lover and health freak and the idea of having a little fitness area in my own space was awesome! My husband was super thoughtful to think of this for me, but I just couldn't get over the filth. There were crumbs on the carpet next to the fridge, dented and scratched up walls, a brown stain on one mattress (yes I deep check the mattress), falling apart toilets in two rooms, all showers needed caulk, brown junk on the fitness floor behind the sliding bathroom door on the last room we checked into and more! Truly, though, it was the severely spotted and stained up carpets in the room and halls that I just couldn't handle. We went through FOUR ROOMS!!! They do allow animals but I can't imagine all these stains being from animals, but maybe! It was just soo uncomfortable for me and really run down! I clean offices for a living, myself and this is not up to par! I will say the bed was clean and though I like to have a mattress protector fully covering the bed, they did have a very warn out somewhat protector over just the top of the beds then the sheets. I didn't see bugs thankfully, but that doesn't mean there weren't microscopic organisms from the animals being allowed in the hotels, in the carpets (sorry coming from a ex vet tech of 10 years). Don't waste your money if you are picky like me! We wasted SOOOO much time here switching rooms, just to end up making the 2 hour drive home to sleep in our own beds. We had visited Legoland all day and wanted to stay close to the zoo and aquarium for another day out, but holiday inn wouldn't help one of their HOLIDAY INN OWNERS, so we went home! We were better off! Unfortunately I didn't take photos of the rooms, so you will just have to trust me!

Clarissa C.

Yelp
Love the concept of this hotel! All the rooms had workout equipment, such as an exercise ball, tension ropes, yoga mat and a few more thing! There is a channel on the TV dedicated to showing you workouts to do with the given equipment as well! The gym is also open 24/7. The lobby was probably my favorite! They had a unique set up of tables, chairs, which made for a great, modern work space. There was food and drinks available for purchase via a self checkout tablet which was a nice amenity. There was also a great outdoor patio space and they lit the fire pit every night. The hotel was very clean, well maintained and the staff was super friendly! The room was the perfect space and very comfortable. I was greeted by each staff member every time I walked by! Really such a great place and I will definitely look to stay at more EVEN hotels in the future!

Chase L.

Yelp
They did not have soap at all and when we asked to have some at the front desk they said they had none in inventory so they would try to find us some hand soap. They also had a mess because of construction with plastic all over the floor. The room was also crowded with gym equipment. We also went started with a full role of toilet paper.

Mandy P.

Yelp
Beware of booking here. Using a company called Reservation Stays to do their booking as a cop out to do their dirty work. Booked a stay at Even Hotel CT and unfortunately my fiancee's mother passed the same day as the first day of our trip. Called hotel to ask for refund or change of dates or discount & they made us call Reservation Stays to be told after doing what they asked for proof of death to be refused because it was his mother that died & I booked stay.  So beware of shifty companies like these that have zero empathy and only want money.

L V.

Yelp
Solid hotel - 3 stars. Been here a couple times. Will stay again if needed. Prefer this to the hotel next door

Kenneth C.

Yelp
This hotel is easily my new favorite brand! It's all about health and fitness here and it shows. The cork flooring in the rooms is a really nice touch. All the in room fitness equipment was clean and in great condition. The gym on the first floor is definitely best in class. In fact I've only stayed in one place with a better gym and that was a resort and easily 4 times the price. The food was delicious and not incredibly expensive. The out door relaxation are is well appointed and very comfortable. Needless to say I will be staying at Even Hotels any time I'm near one!!

Ivette Z.

Yelp
Hotel is okay. They do have weird policies like they will charge you for hot tea even though they don't charge you for coffee (makes no sense to me). The cleaning service is spotty and they sometimes miss your room altogether. It is conveniently located of that is what you are looking for.

Walt S.

Yelp
I had a business trip to Norwalk in August 2022 and I.D.'d the EVEN Hotel as a best location site. Discovering the simplicity of hotel living by EVEN Hotels was an eye-opener. They seem somewhat EURO. Small rooms, essentials, fitness and clean. Very nice for the price. You can visit the lobby and snack 24 hours a day using an electronic caddie center, of sorts. Grab, barcode, pay. Really simple. I like clean and EVEN Hotel hit the spot. Hope the next is Stars5 using EVEN Hotels.

Christina d.

Yelp
The room we had (244), didn't have a black out curtain, just a sheer blind. Our room was across from a street lamp, so it shone brightly directly onto the room. Also, I woke up when the sun came up because of this as well. You would think a place that's about rest and relaxation would prioritize sleep ‍ Three stars because bed was comfy and amenities were nice.

Britt W.

Yelp
Never in my life have I ever experienced a hotel with bed bugs, until now. lm sitting in the parking lot writing this because my friend is on the phone waiting for the refund because she was only refunded the security deposit so far. I sat in the bed after my shower to put lotion on and in the corner of my eye I saw something moving it was a bed bug. I got up and looked around and there were more. Absolutely disgusting. Im so skeeved out. RUN!

Kelly Y.

Yelp
We stayed here for one night recently and it was our first time at the EVEN hotel brand. I have to say it was a different and cool hotel experience based on their commitment to health and fitness which you feel as you first step into the lobby and see bikes to use/rent and water bottle fill stations along with the ice machines. Check in and out was easy and front lobby staff friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, modern and comfortable. As others have mentioned, the rooms come equipped with work out equipment and TV programs set up to use with the in room items. While we tried out a quick workout, I can't say we fully engaged in one as we were pretty tired upon arrival. Room prices are also reasonable (we booked through Expedia and paid only $100 for one night) but note they do not include things like breakfast, etc. They do offer breakfast and snack options for purchase with just your hotel key card in the lobby though. While there is a desk and even a standing desk option in the room- there was no fridge or microwave which I often find most convenient to have in a hotel room. Overall, I would stay for another night stay if I was in the area.

Jess L.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here one night for a wedding that was in the area. This is definitely a funky, chill, health-conscious place. As the photos and hotel website itself suggests, they are very health focused. Our "wellness room" included an exercise ball, yoga mat, yoga block, and various stretch bands. One portion of the room even had cork floor, which could have made for a nice workout area. The bed itself is very comfortable. There's also a folding, standing desk if you need it. I wasn't wild about the bathroom door, which was frosted and on a rail; it did not provide a lot of division between the sleeping area and the bathroom and seemed kind of cheap. Nonetheless, there are lots of amenities on the ground floor, and there are also lots of areas to meet with groups or meet strangers. I would stay at an EVEN again, including this location.

Robert M.

Yelp
clean and modern, but definitely NOT for a lengthy stay. no closets. no dressers. but they DO have a yoga ball and resistance bands, not to mentionn10 tv channels of yoga exercises. light blocking blind was stuck in down position so no natural light unless you jerry rigged something to hold the heavy blind up. bed was EXTREMELY soft. you literally sunk into it. great unless you have back issues. half the time no one answered the phone at the front desk. no daily room cleaning unless you call the day BEFORE. I guess for the younger crowd it would be ok for an overnight stay, but the lack of drawers was very inconvenient. but if you need a whiteboard in your room, this may be your place.

Leslie K.

Yelp
Found a good deal on Hotwire and stayed for 4 nights on my trip to Norwalk. Oof. From other reviews and my recent experience, it seems the place is on a decline. I arrived to find no hand soap in the bathroom. Figured they forgot to stock it - front desk let me know they were "waiting on a shipment" and they didn't have any. One shipment and the entire hotel is out of soap? Yikes. They did not resolve this my entire 4-day stay, I asked for soap every day. The only soap they provided was shower gel. This is not antibacterial. Very weird. I felt extra grossed out knowing everyone staying there was going without properly washing their hands. In the time of post-Covid this is absolutely unacceptable. The ice maker on the ground floor is apparently permanently out of service. The nickel and dime approach with pay-per-item breakfast and snack items is so tacky. There is no "restaurant" in the hotel - I did see a small bar that I saw staffed once while I was there that sells alcohol and maybe a pizza. I found hairs in the bedding and the room was not exceptionally clean (some dust and I squashed a centipede in the bathroom). My friend's door lock died during their stay in an adjacent room. They came back to the hotel around midnight and were locked out. After a wait staff were able to charge their door to get them back in. One morning ~9:30 I heard a knock but it was so faint I thought it was on another door. Then a man just came into the room ?! and upon confrontation said he was looking for housekeeping or was part of housekeeping, unclear. I kept the safety lock on the rest of my stay at all times. Troubling. Overall, seems like they are having a staffing issue, unfortunately was not impressed by customer service at any level. Two stars earned because location is good, right off the highway and 10-15 mins to all things Norwalk. Also the beds were comfortable. Price was good but after the experience, I would have paid more for a better quality stay. Re the hotel design: No fault of the staff but the rooms are not designed functionally; it's odd for a "modern concept" place - execution of the idea was poor. The workout ball takes up needed floor space and there are no luggage stands. "Closet" has space for hanging but there are no drawers. The shower double door didn't stay... as soon as you closed one door the other side opened. You need to do more than a 90 degree reach around to get to the toilet paper. The AC unit is RIGHT next to the desk chair making it freezing to sit at the desk for any length of time. Half the window was painted over so the room got very little natural light. All this, on top of the lackluster service and amenities issue has turned me off from this hotel chain.

John F.

Yelp
It's the least expensive hotel for a reason. IHG dreamed up a blunder brand. Do yourself a favor and don't stay. I've seen college freshman dorms (all of them) that are better than this. I just wonder if the person who dreamed up this 'brand' and designed filth into the carpetry still has a job. Oh and, no pools, no free breakfast...but a hotel that's so disgustingly kept I would never eat there. Dumpsters right next to guest door entries, too. Good quality: there is a Dunkin next door.

Kevin P.

Yelp
This is a solid 3 star hotel: simple, clean, reliable, nothing fancy. Bumping up to 4 stars because of the staff at the hotel: rooms were clean and staff was friendly.

Anrana S.

Yelp
Overall a great concept. No separate bathroom sink area. Kind of a pain if you're sharing the room. Frosted glass bathroom door. At night it lights up the whole room. The exercise equipment is nice. Nice to be able to stretch after a long car ride. Hydration station is great. If they had a free healthy breakfast I would make this my regular go to spot in Stamford. Free parking. Easy access off the Merritt.

Tamika S.

Yelp
Booked two rooms, three-night stay. In the course of those three nights: a fire alarm and no one on staff had the foggiest clue what we were supposed to do. We called the front desk to ask if we should evacuate. The response from staff: We don't know. We erred on the side of caution and evacuated, as did several other very confused guests. We were promised an air mattress for one of the rooms. It deflated 10 seconds after inflation and was never replaced. Second day: Maintenance staff entered my sister's room unannounced three times before 8 a.m. After the third time, she was inexplicably told that she had to move to another room. My room: TV never worked. I had to buy earplugs because there was loud banging noise coming from the pipes in the bathroom. Blinds were torn to shreds and didn't work. Room wasn't cleaned as requested. Common areas are dirty and the elevator feels as if it will break down at any moment. Stay elsewhere.

Yelp
Okay. I love this place. Dinged them on one star because the dinner we had at their restaurant, Cork & Kale, was dreadful. Everything else was great! The vibe of the place is cool, trendy, open, friendly, and healthy. Love all of it. I was greeted by Marvin who was friendly and welcoming. The openness of the main floor was awesome. Even the hallways where the rooms are was cool and funky. My boss had encouraged me to stay here and to bring exercise clothes, which I did. When I got to my room, I put my stuff away, my on my workout clothes, and spent an hour using the exercise post with resistance bands followed by yoga. It was *awesome*. I followed this with a luxurious hot shower and was totally relaxed - a rarity for me. I met my boss for dinner at the bar (she's the "Norm!" of Norwalk Even), where we enjoyed a couple of drinks and a sad dinner. Enough said. My room was on the back of the hotel with no view, but that was fine because I liked the look of the room itself. Also, as others have said, those in the front of the hotel may get an okay view, but they also get noise from traffic - as happened with my boss. The next morning, I used the exercise facility and it was *awesome*. They have great machines, free weights, and more. I did some cardio, some upper-body machine work, and a really cool rowing machine. Followed that with another luxurious hot shower and felt amazing. I then had a fantastic protein-packed breakfast in their restaurant with fruit, and was off to the office, ready to carpe the heck out that diem. I go to Norwalk about six times a year, and even though I get miles at Marriott, I am no totally loyal to the Even Hotel experience (and I now get points from them, too). If you're going to Norwalk, and would like a hotel that has a clear focus on health and wellness, you need to go here. #namaste

Yelp
I stayed here for 4 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. ($720 no food or extras) The room was mostly clean, the bed comfortable and the staff friendly. There was exercise equipment scattered throughout the room along with a container of Lysol wipes. Cons: -Their cheap bathroom toilet paper is single ply and rough. -While the room was 80% carpeted, the floor in front of the bathroom was a hard surface. There were dried liquid stains all over it. Gross. -The room decor was bleak. -To keep costs down, my stay did not include breakfast. One morning I purchased a cup of coffee in the lobby ($3.00) which was Terrible. I drove to the nearby Dunkin the rest of the time.

Yelp
This hotel smelled of mildew upon entering. There were industrial fans running in the lobby. I checked in and went to my room, which smelled like a dirty locker room, musty and mildewy. The room included cork floors and an in-room gym, which probably caused the nasty odor. I tried to reach someone at the front desk for over 30-minutes. To no avail, I checked out via my 3rd party booking and went somewhere else. Hotel Even refused to issue a refund on the room or on my pet fee when we did not even utilize the hotel as it served as a health concern/risk. Do not stay at this location.

Yelp
The check out time is 11:00 am, but the house keeping lady opened my door without any notice at 9:30 am, and I have not checked out. It never happened when I lived in other hotels. Very disrespectful and disappointed. Must Keep your personal safe and belongings safe, when you go out!

Yelp
A member of the prestigious IHG Hotel group, this is an exceptionally clean, modern, and comfortable hotel with modern amenities and reasonable rates, is well maintained and quiet, and in a convenient location just off the Merritt Parkway.

Yelp
Wow this is my new favorite hotel and will be coming here as often as I can!! I was so impressed. The outside of the building doesn't look like anything spectacular but as soon as you walk in - wow. Very simple, modern look. To the left of the front desk, there are bikes for customers to use which I thought is very neat. The room is spacious and again, simple, modern look. I really like that they have exercise equipment in the room although I didn't use any. I also didn't visit the gym but based on the pictures, looks nice! I have to say, it was the most comfortable bed I've slept in at a hotel and I got an amazing sleep. I really liked that they use directv and not just basic cable, they also have a handful of channels just for workout videos for free!! I also enjoyed the shower products. Most hotels leave travel size products at the sink, this hotel has large bottles locked in the shower and they smell amazing! I was disappointed that there weren't any disposable toiletries like a shower cap or razor but didn't bother me that much, maybe it's available upon request. We had breakfast included with our stay but the guy who checked me in didn't give me a coupon for it so in the morning when asked for it, I had to go to the front desk and explain I was never given one. The staff already knew which room I was in and were very friendly! Breakfast was also good, not the most amazing but still pretty good. They had a good variety of foods - eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, different types of breads (toast, bagel, croissant, etc.), oatmeal, cereal, and different pastries. All in all, I highly recommend and will be coming back often! Thank you!! Oh and also, free parking!!!!!

Yelp
So new, it wasn't even on Yelp yet and I had to add it! We have relatives who live less than a mile from here, man was I excited to learn there was a new IHG property opening. After some careful negotiations with the front desk about switching hotels (with a cancellation fee at the other), they decided to do the "right" thing and let me try out this new to the scene, fitness hotel that I can't say enough good things about. I believe this is an old Sheraton Four Points that was completely gutted. When you walk into the welcoming lobby, you are met with four different options of water, three of which are flavored. I loved the strawberry-mint the best.....there was also a pineapple-cilantro that was quite decent, as well. The hotel is ultra modern in just about every way possible. I was greeted by a friendly woman at the front desk who was able to assist in getting us a room at $119/night. However, she didn't offer us a breakfast option which I found out later so I had to go back and re-up for $129/night, giving each of us a $10 credit [each] at breakfast the next morning, making it a better deal. As I stated before, this is a fitness hotel.....including the encouragement of taking the stairs to get to your room on the upper floors. They have one of the nicest workout rooms right behind the front desk that you'll see in a hotel at this price point. Plus, there is workout equipment in your room, from yoga mats to resistance bands. I don't believe there is enough room in the guestrooms themselves to warrant the yoga materials, nor is there anything ready to go in terms of maybe a 24 hr channel with yoga instruction on it. But, it's a nice concept in theory and I did end up using the resistance bands just to try them out. The rooms themselves are aimed at the travelling business person. From a white board with markers and an eraser to hookups galore around the room (there may have been six USB ports but I didn't fully count), that was one of the parts I enjoyed best. Simply plugging in my phone into the USB right next to the bed was ultra handy. The bathrooms were also quite exqusite. Standup shower with repurposed floors as you walked in. There were different gels to choose from, "calming" and "energetic" instead of standard bar soap. While I believe the branding is a bit cheesy and unproven, I found myself reaching for the energetic kind in the morning to shower with. The beds were one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, my better half thought it was almost TOO soft but she didn't have any issues getting some Z's. There are a few kinks to work out but nothing that warrants giving them less than 5 stars. Breakfast was a bit confusing and the entire order was taken on a computer that was then put onto our room for which we had overages beyond the $20 voucher. The reason it was a problem was because I was unable to tip on a possible bill so I don't even know if gratuity was included. Also, the toilets don't seem like they were newly installed, ours was the old style that you had to hold down the handle for 10 - 15 seconds to ensure it worked, not like the newer styles that look like a F-5 tornado going down. I posted a bunch of pictures but could have easily taken 30 more. The lobby and food areas are downright gorgeous. They offer numerous healthy snacks that can easily be added to your room charges, from kale chips to organic beef jerky. There was even a make it yourself orange juice machine in the same lobby area but was kind of ruined for me by the amount of fruit flies around it so that should be addressed as well. If you're in the Norwalk area or visiting NYC and don't mind paying to drive in or take the train, this is the perfect hotel for you at a wonderful price point. Apparently, they are building a handful more in Manhattan which I'm sure will be a big hit. Please keep your room prices low and I'm sure we'll be staying here very often.

Yelp
Oh wow- this place was pretty frekkin' awesome. Overall: Comfy, nice big rooms, friendly staff, great amenities. We stayed at EVEN 2 nights ago because I was having a medical procedure done, and my dr paid for my stay (score!). So, we checked in near 7pm, and were welcomed nicely by a young guy with dark hair. He was accommodating and super friendly. I love how you walk in, and the entire place smells like aromatherapy oils- sooo relaxing. Also, they have citrus infused water (3 of them) in the center lobby (see photos). My fave was lime and ginger- sooo good. Actually, now because I loved it so much, bought some lime and ginger and sipping it at work right now.. We were in room 372, and it was far away from the elevator as I requested when IHG emailed me asking my "preferences". We really loved the room. Spacious, clean and well kept. I really loved the fact that the shower was so large, and had LARGE bottles of shampoo/conditioner. The only downside to my stay (which is not even enough to "dock" a star") is that I saw the yelp reviews prior to going, and every room had a free water bottle. I really could care less about the water bottle being free, but the procedure I was going in for required me to sip a certain number of oz of water prior to going. I asked the front desk, but they said they ran out and new ones were supposed to come in soon. BOO!! I would totally go back to EVEN, I am impressed with how nicely put together it was. The WII U and ping pong made my husband and I feel like kids again :D

Yelp
Staff was very kind and helpful; when checking in, she told us everything about the hotel and it's amenities. They had bikes that were free to ride for guests, a fire pit with comfortable swings and seating outside, a small dog area (walls were short shrubs, so probably best for smaller pets or ones that don't run away), as well as a free water bar (complimentary water bottle in room) and a keurig coffee machine in the room (Coffee available for purchase in lobby). Room were clean and spacious. (Pics were unfortunately taken after our stay..so imagine it even more tidy )

Yelp
If you're into staying fit while traveling, this is the place for you! What sold me on this place while I was searching for hotels on hotels.com was their concept of health, fitness, and overall wellness, and how they really try to make it easier for you to work out and be surround by healthy food options. Most hotels have a gym, but once you return to your hotel room, who really wants to leave the comfort of their nice marshmallowy sheets and pillows to go work out? Not me, that's for sure! Haha. So the greatest thing about this place is all the work out equipment is in your room! Service The moment my boyfriend and I walked it, the two women at the service desk were as lovely as could be (I wish I could only remember their names!). We probably arrived 2 hours before check in time at 3pm and asked them if we could check in early, they had an available room, and were more than happy to check us in early, with a smile on their faces the entire time. Over All Hotel On the outside, to the right side of the hotel, they have a cute fire place area that they light up at night. By the front desk they offer free fruit infused water. On the first floor they have a breakfast/dinner station, only downside is that this place doesn't offer complimentary breakfast, you have to pay for everything. In the same area, they sell a ton of different healthy snack options, coffee, tea, and other drinks. Still working through the first floor, there's a lounge, multiple computer stations, and a bar. One of my favorite things was that all over the hotel they have cute little phrases and sayings in different places, like in the front entrance, the elevators, and rooms, that are either greeting the guest or making a funny pun (that usually got a chuckle out of me), making the place feel more homey and welcoming. Hotel Room Holy cow this room was spacious! My boyfriend and I got the king size bed and can I just say how much I loved their linen?! So comfy, I just wanna wrap myself up into a blanket burrito haha. Once you walk in there's this floor to ceiling bar, a couple of resistances bands, and a yoga ball. And of course, you can't do yoga without a yoga block and mat, which they provide underneath the huge full length mirror! On the tv they have work out videos that use the same equipment in the room that you can follow along and work out to. Continuing with the room tour, there's a desk, chair, pull out mini desk/ counter with a white board, a closet with an ironing board and iron, and on one of the shelves they give a complimentary water bottle to keep. There's also a lot of lighting in the room and bathroom and so many outlets! They even have USB outlets in case you forgot the attachment that goes into the regular outlet. Probably the only thing I didn't like about the room was the bathroom door. It's a glass sliding door that's frosted, so you definitely won't be getting a free show... Buuuuut you can hear everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. From the pee, to the farts, to the... You can fill in the blanks. It might be awkward for friends, but if you're comfortable enough with the person you're sharing it with, who cares! Ohh, and in the shower they have large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and two types of body wash (one to energize and one to calm). Ok ok, I have nothing but good things to say about this place and I wish they would expand this hotel chain down to the southeast. But I swear, next time I stay here I'll actually try using the work out equipment haha.

Yelp
I really enjoy this hotel brand. I'm not an exercise person. I'm not into being green or eco friendly. The hotel is just modern and cool. Very relaxing. Foods not what you're going to get elsewhere but that's not necessarily bad either. It's a nice change. In regards to this specific location the front office staff is awesome. Very friendly and engaging. I agree with a previous poster about this locations housekeeping staff. They are freaking rowdy and loud. They are talking all the time. Right outside my door. It's annoying. Enough to take a star.

Yelp
Honestly can't express enough how much we love this hotel. We missed the breakfast we paid for last stay and they eagerly honored it for our next visit. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and a super fun and different concept (workout equipment in every room? Yes please and thank you!). I messed up the reservation through a third party and accidentally booked for two weeks out. When I arrived tonight Danielle at the front desk was MORE than accommodating. She honestly prompted me to write this review (something I do not do very often). Danielle's customer service and hospitality was over the top and BEYOND amazing. My fiancé and I stay at hotels very often and we have never had the kind of customer service that we did with Danielle at this hotel. It was 100% my mistake on the booking and Danielle really went above and beyond to accommodate us. I am so grateful for her! I really was so happy and so impressed that I absolutely HAD to post a review. This hotel is so lovely. Staff (especially Danielle) is absolutely amazing. If you choose to stay here - you will not be disappointed. It's an amazing experience with amazing staff to back it up. Thank you Danielle and thank you EVEN hotel! Such a wonderful and memorable experience!

Yelp
Staff were rude, accommodations inadequate, overall stay was unsatisfactory. Would not recommend to anybody.

Yelp
Economy without compromise; Green & Clean + Excellent Staff I have spent a lot of time in hotels, and the Even Hotel in Norwalk, CT is the best experience I have had anywhere near the price range they offer. A few quick things: Excellent Wi-Fi; plenty of free parking, and they accept pets. Plus a really nice, large fire-pit area outside that could be mistaken for being at a tropical hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are exceptionally clean and crisp, wall to wall. The cleaning staff really deserve major kudos for the job they do. One major benefit: they use a removable cover system for the comforters, that allows the cleaning staff to remove the cover after each guest, and replace with a fresh, clean comforter cover for each new quest arriving. It's like getting a new comforter every time. This is huge for me. The bathrooms are fantastic. They are seriously spacious, closer to bathrooms found in luxury hotels. The walk-in showers are almost a small room, and the extra space elevates the shower experience almost to spa level. Rooms are also available with bathtubs, and accessible to those with physical impairments. I wish I had their bathroom at home. The Even Hotel chain is geared towards wellness-minded visitors, and this is reflected in every room by exercise equipment built-in. Turn on the TV and the first channel you see will be a fitness instructor giving instructions on using the in-room equipment, and running you through exercise programs, anywhere from 10 to 25 minutes in length. Even better, a very complete gym is available on the first floor. If you're health (and clean) conscious, this is your hotel, period. Speaking of the TVs... if a great TV and lots of channels is important to you, you're in for a pleasant surprise. Every room sports a generous, full HD, 42" Samsung (yes, a freakin' Samsung!), with no less than eight live HBO movie channels. Plus a ton of cable channels, ESPN, you name it. It's probably better than your cable package at home, and this is rare for Hotels, even for more expensive hotels. As I stayed for over a month, this was a real blessing. The hotel also has a restaurant and a bar, that looks very good, however as I stayed during the Covid crisis, these were closed. I'm sure they are as excellent as every other service and feature of the Even Hotel chain. Speaking of restaurants, the area is loaded with great places to eat, all close by. The best place of all is just 500 feet (a 30-second stroll) from the hotel, called Brasitas. This is a 4-star Brazilian restaurant with simply amazing food at really reasonable prices. For comfort food they are unbeatable, I literally recommend everything on the menu, and the staff is awesome. Additionally, local restaurants, all within a mile, include excellent Italian (try Zio's), Sushi (Wild Rice and Edo), an Outback restaurant, a Boston Chicken, and too many other choices to list. There is also a Wal-Mart just down the road, a Stop & Shop and a massive liquor store just a half mile away. Everything you need is close by. There's even a 24/7 McDonalds and a 24/7 Dunkin Donuts, all minutes away. Last, but not least, I cannot say enough about the staff at the Norwalk Even Hotel. A good staff is everything, and they were great. I was going through some medical issues, rather serious ones, and everyone made me feel like family, every time I walked in the door. I wish to personally thank Marvin, Christian, Danielle, Anthony, Myrta, and everyone else that made me feel so welcome each and every day. I can't overstate how kind, professional and helpful they all were, to a person. In short, if you're coming to the area, stay at the Even Hotel. You'll be treated like a human being, and you'll leave relaxed and refreshed. And tell them Sherman sent you.

Yelp
Not impressed. There were some hairs in the shower and pieces of trash around. The comforter had a couple stains on it. It did not feel very clean. The bathroom has a sliding glass door which made it a little harder when sharing the room with others. The bed and pillows were not too bad though and the aesthetic of the hotel is unique.

Yelp
One of the most bizarre hotel experiences ever. Nice concept. I like the emphasis on exercise. However, called front desk because the tv ONLY had fitness channels. Front desk said that's all they have. Not the end of the world, but since out plans were cancelled due to weather, thought we would catch a movie. Switched rooms (not because of tv) and found the other tv's have every channel. You couldn't let us know that when we called earlier? "Breakfast" is Cliff bars and bagels. We were going to sit at the bar on a Friday night of a holiday weekend, when we were told "the bartender worked the last five days, so he's off today." Really?! Staff moderately friendly, but many of them could not bother to stand up when we were asking them questions. Not too thrilled.

Yelp
The only comfortable part of the stay - was the Bed. Everything else - terrible experience !If you do not want a loud party hotel, with people playing crazy loud music through the night into early hours of the morning , slamming doors and running through hallways - drunk, and the front desk doing nothing at all about it - STAY elsewhere ! With the whole fitness and wellness imagine they are trying to market themselves - this goes against all that! No restful night of sleep, nor peace of mind or body ! Very disappointed !

Yelp
Reception desk worker checking people in with mask way below her nose. So much for the wellness branding. May as well have been maskless. In themorning, the empoyee disinfecting the public areas in lobby and around snack bar area had his mask barely over his lips. Almost as soon as he prayed, whatever his nose emitted, went right back on the just cleaned surfaces. Wellness, indeed! And this, even while local mask mandates remained in effect. Furniture has discolored spots and bed was soft. Oh and they did not honor reserved room type. Apparently gave away reserved kings and queens to people who had cheaper run of the house rates who should have gotten the double beds that were forced on those who booked and prepaid for more expensive bed types. The. Lobby looked nice, however.

Yelp
UN-Even check-in, but would try it again. My family of four arrived at this hotel a bit before midnight after a long drive. We were greeted pleasantly and quickly given keys to our room. Unfortunately, when we got there, it was being repaired! The glass shower doors were on the floor, leaning against the beds, and other related parts were on the bathroom counter. We quickly got keys to a different room, but they did't work (despite them being rekeyed once). Finally, the concierge brought us himself to a third room: the keys worked, we got in to a well-prepared room, and he gave us four free breakfast passes for the trouble. The fitness, standing desk vibe works. The (third) room was clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast the next day--made to order from a fairly diverse menu--was quick, hot, and tasty. Especially for the price, I can recommend at least trying this hotel. If we are traveling to a city with this line again in the future, we'll probably have it high on our lis

Yelp
I had a great experience here! I had never been and didn't know what to expect but when I lost power and I needed a place with AC and internet, I quickly booked. From my check in with Anthony to my check out (again with Anthony) everything was great. Room was clean, I loved the concept of it being geared toward Wellness as well as work. It had everything I needed. The housekeeping staff were super friendly and checked on me a few times to see if I needed anything and offered ideas of where to get something in the area to eat. I will definitely be coming here if I have a tight work deadline and need a space to concentrate and work. Sad the restaurant/bar wasn't open but hey, its covid...I would rather they be safe.

Yelp
I just stayed at Even Hotel this past weekend for the first time, and I'm so glad I did! The hotel was clean, modern and updated. Our hotel room was a fit persons dream and the amenities were amazing as well. I am probably the most unfit person in America and I couldn't help wanting to try out a 10 minute Pilates work out that was on tv. Everything was available in my room (the mat, tension cords and ample space) and they even provided a water bottle for you to use and keep. My only complaint was that the rooms seem to have very thin walls and we were on the same floor as a little yappy dog which was a bit annoying at times. Otherwise I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Lauren H.

Yelp
I love the vibe of this "wellness" hotel. What a neat take, and pleasant surprise to find exercise equipment, a water bottle, standing desk, etc. Hotel is clean, beds are very comfy, staff is very friendly!

Paul L.

Yelp
Great hotel. The staff was amazing and the hotel is beautiful. It's a trendy boutique hotel with it's niche being health and wellness. There's a full size gym and a cozy cafe on the first floor. The rooms are clean and feature a bamboo strip floor which encourages you to use the yoga ball/block/mat and the resistance bands. This is standard in every room. Marvin, the night concierge was knowledgeable, helpful and nice enough to light up the outside fire pit. He was Very hospitable and made us feel at home. For breakfast we enjoyed the deliscious acai bowl and had the pleasure to meet Toya, she handles the a.m. orders and also made us feel at home with her warm smile and demeanor. This place is easy to get to from the highway and is only 5 minutes away from the aquarium, restaraunts and nightlife.
